My name is Jose F [redacted] I am the store manger for Tuffy on [redacted] I am writing about the incident on 4/1/to the best of my knowledge [redacted] claims we broke his trail light on the left rearThese are the events that took place: [redacted] came in on to have his car inspected During that visit the vehicle required to have rear brake pads, wipes and a bulb to pass inspectionThe work was completed that same day [redacted] left on that day without any complaintsThe vehicle was parked in the very front of the shop tail lights facing out [redacted] walked passed the car and checked it before he leftNo complaints where brought up that day.On Tuesday 04/05/[redacted] came into the store claiming that we damaged his tail light, I asked him why he didn’t call me Saturday and Monday Four days have gone by, I explained to him that maybe that light could have been damaged during the four day lapse [redacted] is an uber driver and many different people come in and out his carFour days without notice was simply to longI said that I wanted to get [redacted] side of the story but we needed to wait until next day since he was off4/06/randy said that he did not remember seeing the light broken because it wound not pass inspectionWhich means the light was without damage on the day of inspection

I am sorry that Mr [redacted] is NOT satisfied as we are not either He decided to embark on "his remedy" without our consult and or consent and he has to be responsible for his decisions.We could have cared for it at one of our many Richmond Area Tuffy Shops for FREE but he choose to remedy it on his own He has to be responsible for HIS OWN ACTIONS and decisions.We are sorry and will be glad to recommend other repair shops that may better serve his needs[redacted] President and CEOOwner

We will contact the customer today and get this resolved......It is the first time I am seeing this....Sorry [redacted] ***

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that he had spoken with the customer directly over the phone to address his concerns

Darrell called from the business stated that Mrs*** is to come in for them to fix the window issueThe other damage talked about in the complaint he stated they will look at the damage to see if it is something they are responsible forIf they are responsible for the damage they will take care
of it

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As I stated before I had no way of knowing that my check engine light came on because someone at tuffy couldn't perform a task as simple as an oil change.  I figured this out after I brought my car to my normal mechanic.  Also this seems to be the first time that the business has even acknowledged the fact that they messed up the oil change which is despicable. I don't want the refund anymore as it's clear to me now this company is unwilling to accept responsibility for its own actions.  I will be sure to never spend another dime in a tuffy auto center and I will do everything in my power to let everyone know just how poor of a job this company does in regards to its quality of work and its customer service

Called business spoke with Mr. N[redacted] he stated that he has reached out to the consumer and talked to her about the complaint. Mr. N[redacted] stated that he needs a copy of the 3rd repair document that was done on the car. Once he has that information and reviews it he stated if the repair is related...

to any work they did he will take care of it.  If the repair is not related he will not take care of it. Mr. N[redacted] stated he cant make that decision until he receives the documents.
