*** *** Response: On May 11th- I, *** *** sold *** *** and her grandson a remote control toy for $(for his birthday)She was given a receipt that stated customers have days to return any itemI also told them that if he didn't like the toy he could always come back and get a in store gift card or if she paid with a credit card, we can put her money back on her cardThe next day *** *** (employee of the treasured child) was workingWhile away from the store a notification popped up on my cellphone that alerted me to a review written by *** ***'s daughter explaining how it would be better to shop at Walmart then our family owned toystoreIt was explained that our employee stated that *** could not return the item and could not get her money back and was rudely dismissed from the shopAfter reading this, as the owner of the store I immediately responded to the review - first apologizing for what had happened and that I would like to speak to *** and her daughterThe second thing I did was I called my employeeMy employee stated that someone had told her all sales were now final and she claimed she didn't knowI never heard back from ***'s daughter and wasn't sure how to get ahold of her so I messaged her on social media and waited for a responseI then received a letter from the Revdex.com that had ***'s contact information on itAfter speaking with my employee and accessing the situation I terminated *** *** as an employee of The Treasured Child'sI personally called *** *** on my cell phone and left a messageShe called me back and I explained to her that my employee crossed the line by not consulting me and by making executive decisions that she was not authorized to makeI did tell *** that I personally fired Miss*** because of the situationI asked *** to please consider coming back into the shop so that I could give her an 100% refundAfter some persuasion, *** did come back to the store and I assisted herInstead of just giving *** an instore gift card I actually put the $back onto her credit card and told her grandson he could pick anything he wanted for $and I would personally pay for itSo in the end, I returned ***'s $56.13, took back the toy, and gave her grandson a free $giftcard*** and her grandson were very happy and told me that they would change their review that was put on our pageI explained to her how I am still very sorry for what had happened and hope she will consider returning-*** *** (Owner & Operator of The Treasured Child) Sent on: 6/10/2:00:PM
