Purchase a product as try out basis and payment for shipment was required. Used my debit card and 2 weeks later $119.97 was charged to my account.
On May 26, 2020, I was on one of the social media and ran into their advertising, and de offer was to try it out only by pay shipping and handling of $6.95. Throughout the process of my payment, they tried to upsell me with two other products and kept declining the offers, which I thought was kind of annoying.
I had a bad feeling about this, so the next day when I check my bank account, the charge was made by the company under the name of UMBRAVE. Two weeks later, on Thursday, June 9, 2020, while reconciling my bank account, I see a charge of $119.97 made by NOVUS IQ, and there was an eight hundred number. I called it, and I spoke with a Customer Representative with an arrogant attitude, and I asked him what the charge was all about. He responded that I signed a membership agreement at the time of ordering the product. I told them that I do not want the product, and I have it unopened, and to give the address so I can mail it back to you because if that is the way they do business, I do not want it and to please refund my money. He dared to tell me that he will terminate my membership and that he will refund 25% of the amount. That caused me to lose my composure and use profanity, and I apologize for that. I proceeded to request from him to email the agreement to me because I don't recall signing it any documents of that nature, and he would not do it either.
I ask him what the name of the business in charge was since I have UMBRAVE and NOVUS IQ, and he told me that it was KINGSIZE. It took me hours navigating in internet trucking this KINGSIZE business phone number with no success at all.
Now, I know it is ORO Lift

Desired Outcome

I want my money back and they can have the product back. I don't care if I have to pay for it. They should not be allow to do business with lack of transparency.

The way the trial program works is that the customer pays the price of shipping $(S&H) for the product to be sent out and to try. The bottle that is shipped is an actual 30 day supply with a retail value of $119.97. Once the order is placed the 15 day trial period begins. During the 15 day trial period if the customer is not satisfied for any reason they can call to cancel. If the customer calls to cancel within the trial period they are given an RMA and are provided with a return address and return instructions and are asked to send back the unused portion and they avoid being billed the full price of that bottle of $119.97. If they do not call to cancel during the trial period they are then billed the full price of $119.97 for that bottle they received and then begin the Autoship program until canceled.

With this situation a senior representative has attempted to reach out to the customer to go over the situation and attempt a resolution however has been unsuccessful in reaching the customer. A voicemail was left however no return call has been received.

As a courtesy and in hopes of resolving this in a positive manner we attempted to issue a full refund of the 119.97 charge however the refund would not process as we got a declined response upon submission.

When this occurs we can offer the customer three free bottles at no cost or the customer can choose to have the refund amount send in the form of a VISA gift card. The gift card option would be the closest to a monetary value.

We wanted to try and speak with the cusotmer in person however since we were unable to reach them and we have not received a return call, if the customer would like to select the option they feel is the best for them we can process the request with their response on this platform.

If the customer would like to speak to the senior representative we would kindly like to ask for the best number and time that is most convenient to reach them at.

Thank you

This is a shady way to do business. At no time, I was informed about charging my account for the membership. I got one voice mail and I can hardly understand.

Since when a business does not accept returns? Why can't I return it? According to the customer representative I have spoken with, they only wanted to refund 25% of the total payment taken out of my account without my consent.

I want the entire amount refunded. The gentleman claims they have tried to refund through the same process, and it was decline. Of course it did. I am not stupid to leave my debit card information in hands of shady companies.

If he was so eager to refund my money. Why is he not answering to my bank's fraud investigators?

I have been doing a research on this company and apparently, I am not the only one that has the same problem with this company.

In our defense we would like to comment that multiple attempts were made to contact the customer and multiple voicemails were left however no return call was ever received. As mentioned in the previous response we did attempt to issue a refund however the refund was declined due to a block on the customer account which was on the customers end either due to the card being canceled or transactions being blocked by the customers bank. When that happens the only other option we can provide would be three free bottles or provide the amount of the refund in the form of a Visa Gift card which is the closest to a monetary value. Our records now show that account is in a dispute status and a resolution will be determined after an investigation with the customers financial institution and our merchant processor. A senior representative will attempt to reach the customer again.

Thank you

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
About 2 weeks ago a gentleman called me on or about 8pm central time. We talked and we agreed that he was going to send the total amount through a visa gift card via email( I never heard of that before). I told him that once I cash it and will return the money to the bank, I would contact Revdex.com and close the case. Furthermore, I asked him to give me an address so I can return the bottle and his response was and I quote "You keep it, it will be a gift from us to you and if you don't want it, go ahead and trow it away if you like". I haven't gotten a phone call nor email from him after that.
The money was refunded to me by the bank, and the banks fraud prevention unit have been trying to get a hold of them without any success.
By bank has instructed me to go to the Police Station and open a case for fraud against them.
This business just want everybody to see them as the victims by saying that they are trying to give this issue a solution and I don't.
I am friends with a lot of police officers and they told me that If for any reason, I would like to return a purchase good, no one should obligate me to keep nor refuse taking it back if I don't want it.
I will have a meeting with my bank on Tuesday afternoon and I need to get additional information and documents from them to start the process at the police station.

We would like to update that a senior representative attempted to reach out again to the customer but was unsuccessful. Upon receiving the customers response about not receiving the gift card we are not sure what happened or why it was never received. We have re-issued the link which can be found in the Spam/Junk/All Mail folder if not in the inbox.

We added an additional 50.00 to the amount as a courtesy which will make the Gift Card value 169.97. This information was left on a voicemail for the customer.

Thank you.

I am truly sorry but I do not trust what they say. I got the voice mail and it is true what he is stating on the response. However, he asked me to call him back and how can I? If the number he called me from shows in my screen as UNKNOWN.
On the voice mail he mention and email but the communication was so bad that I could not understand what he was saying. I need to know the name of the sender. I checked all my emails and I got nothing. My emails are ***@gmail.com or ***@yahoo.com

We would like to update that out senior representative attempted to reach out to the customer again on multiple occasions. As mentioned before the Gift Card was increased as a courtesy in hopes that we may work together towards a positive resolution. The email was sent to ***@gmail.com and if the customer does not see it in the inbox they may locate it in their Spam/Junk/All Mail folders.

Here are the details of when the Gift Card was sent.

We would also like to provide the direct number to our Senior Representative. 1 (888) 743-1791. He is attempting to reach out again to the customer however if he is uncomfortable answering the phone we wanted to provide another option for him.
