I just received a bill from Oro Valley Hospital for an outpatient surgery procedure that had me in the hospital for less than one day Although I was not charged for the full amount the invoice started at $52,that was not itemized I have been unable to contact anyone by name that I can address this issue with No matter who I call, I get routed to an automated answering system or a customer service representative who will not give me the name of a person to contact

I had right knee replacement surgery at Oro Valley Hospital on February 25, 2014, and was discharged to return home on February Throughout my hospitalization, the nurses and other staff failed horribly in managing my painFor two successive nights, after buzzing repeatedly in desperation for pain medication and waiting minutes, I finally got a responseAll complaints made by me and my wife were met with hostility and defensivenessI would never be hospitalized again at this hospital, under any circumstancesTheir personnel are disorganized, unresponsive, and lacking in compassion

My comment is actually about the Rancho Vistoso Urgent Care run by this hospital. I have no beef with the hospital other than our experience at their urgent care. My husband was charged over $300 for a two minute visit where the Dr. only wrote a prescription for an antibiotic. When I finally reached someone who would discuss it with me, I was told that any time a prescription was written, it is automatically a "level II visit" regardless of the severity of the complaint or the length of the visit. When I asked for a manager to speak with, they would not give me a person's name. Just said to write a letter to their PO Box in Dallas, TX and they would pass it on to the Oro Valley administration.
