the exam and $for the xrayHe paid for his visit at this timeHe was requested to return the next day for the extraction of the toothHe returned on 9/10/and DrRippy preformed a simple extraction of tooth #and charged $which he paid on the day of service. Review: I came into Ampla Health on 09-10-15 to have a tooth pulled. I told them I would pay cash, and I did. All they did was take X-rays. They didn't do anywork on my tooth this day, they told me that I needed to come back the next day when the oral surgeon was there.

I came back the next day, 09-11-15 and they took X-rays again. They told me I had to pay $791.00 for oral surgery.I called my wife and she paid it with her credit card. Even though the oral surgeon was there, they had the visiting dentist that was there the prior day pull my tooth. The oral surgeon never came into the room.

After the visiting dentist pulled my tooth out, I told her that there was still a part of the tooth there. She told me that it was a fragment and that it would "work it self out" .

I told her to tell the front desk billing that it was a simple Extraction and not Oral Surgery. She did and they told her before they would refund my wifes credit card that I would have to pay another $168.00 cash to pay the bill first.

There is still part of the tooth left (it has never "worked its way out")and it hurts anytime I bite down on anything.

I asked them why I had to pay $168.00 twice for a simple extraction.I can not get a answer.

I have called several times to let them know there is still part of the tooth there and they tell me that there is nothing they can do about it.

This doesn't seem right and maybe there is something you can do to help me.

IDesired Settlement: I would like to have the rest of my tooth pulled or at least get re-imbursed for over-payment.

Dear Sir, I am responding to the complaint ID# 11448748 regarding Ampla Health Oroville Dental office. Mr. [redacted] came to our Oroville Dental office on 9/09/15 complaining if tooth pain. He had an exam and one xray taken of the tooth he complained was hurting him. He we was charged $74.00 for the exam and $29.00 for the xray. He paid for his visit at this time. He was requested to return the next day for the extraction of the tooth. He returned on 9/10/15 and Dr. Rippy preformed a simple extraction of tooth #3 and charged $162.00 which he paid on the day of service. As to his complaint about a piece of tooth still being inside his gum, we show nothing in his record about receiving a complaint from him. He has not returned after the 9/10/15 visit for any type of follow up care.
