Their response is far from the truth. Orser told me to release the pressure. I did what he told me to do to release the water. He told me that he would come out in Spring. He never did. It was always me contacting him. We had to contact him numerous times. Finally, he told me that he would come out., but he wanted to charge me. I told him to forget it. How could he charge me for something that he told me to do? He told me to release pressure. He relented and said he would come out to look at it. He did. He saw the problem. The opening was exposed and it was underground with rocks at base of it also underground. He said he would come back. My wiife and I also were going to order trees from him. I knew the only way this guy was going to come back and fix this was if we bought something. So he arranged to meet my wife at his 'place of business. She went and picked out two trees. He said he would have them in before my daughter's prom. He never called and he never showed. This was typicall and we were getting used to the way he operates.
As a consumer, I have every right to expect voice my complaint. They are correct, there was no problem with the installation. The problem arose when my patio flooded and I called him. We were panicked as the water was aapproaching the house.

Review: I contacted Orser for install of a French drain in Fall of 2013. Job was good. We had a brutal winter in 2013/14, where snow piled on top of snow creating mini-mountains. After one particular heavy wet snow, my patio was flooded and water was not draining. We were very concerned about water getting into house. It was deep and approaching our patio doors leading into the house. The drains were full. I contacted Orser. I told him what was going on. He asked me to go to side of house where drain outlet dumps out from back. The tubing is all underground. He asked me to look for the opening. There was none. He told me to relieve some of the pressure. So I had to dig up some of the lawn and expose the drain tubing. I had to dig up about six feet in length of grass/mud to expose the tubing so that the water could up and out. Once I did this, you could see the water pouring out. Orser said he was busy with snow removal. He said he would look at first thing in Spring and fix the small section of drain that I had to expose (black netting surrounding tube had been tore in places). There was allot of water for a 4 inch drain. That was not my issue. When Spring came, I contacted him. He was still busy and I knew then that this was going turn into a nightmare to get this guy to come out again. I did exactly what this guy told me to do with respect to relieving some pressure for the drain. Now it was obvious, he had no intention of coming out, he was just trying to placate us. He was now back tracking and getting very defensive as if I was blaming him for the problem. I wasn't. The drain ending was buried. I asked him to help with a solution. He told me what to do (relieve some pressure). We did that and it worked. He said he would come and fix it. He did not keep his word and many times the conversation was quite heated. What type of professional is going to argue with his customers? We were not requesting anything other than what he said he would do. It still is not done. My lawn is dug up. The work required to fix this would take at most 30 minutes. He does not care. I was sick and tired of trying to be accomodating and patient. I must have contacted this guy 15 times. Each time he has another lame excuse. He is rude and arrogant. He thinks he knows everything and does not take kindly to anything that implies something is wrong with this perfect work, which is not perfect by any means. I never blamed his work. I blame him for not standing by his word to come down and fix it after telling us how to remedy this problem in the short term. He always is annoyed and you have to keep on calling, but it still does no good. Here we are in summer and I still have a hole in my lawn with the drain exposed. We wasted allot of time with this guy. It's beyond me how anyone would treat their customers this way. You can see other reviews outside of Revdex.com that shows that we are not alone. This guy is a terrible business person. He does not stand by his word and he argues with customers and is very defensive and takes it all so personal. He should have done what he said he would do. He got our money, that's all he cares about.Desired Settlement: They should come back and fix the drain just like He said that he would.

Response:

Dear [redacted],[redacted] Orser Landscaping installed a drainage system in September 2013. Before the drain was backfilled Chris ran a hose for 2 hrs. through the actual pipe to make sure he had the proper pitch before backfilling it. In October Chris went to meet with [redacted]'s neighbor [redacted] to give him an estimate on a drainage System, at that time [redacted]'s drainage was working great. In December when we had 16 inches of snow and then rain is when [redacted] noticed it was backing up. Chris received a phone call from [redacted] to say the drain was backing up. Chris informed him of the amount of snow we were having, it needed time to drain, this pipe is not big enough to handle the snow and rain we were having. [redacted] needed to be patient and let it drain. Chris told [redacted] to find the opening which [redacted] stated he could not find the opening even though Chris explained where it was. That being said [redacted] proceeded to dig a 6 ft. trench on his own to release the water. [redacted] then proceeded to continue to call and text Chris numerous times to come out and fix the problem that was caused by [redacted] himself, saying the mesh was torn and the drain was Smashed. These problems were not caused by Chris Orser Landscaping. [redacted] was never told that Chris was coming back, because the drain was working. Chris has responded to [redacted] in every aspect due to the drain, and told him he needed to free the opening, Chris should not have to go and fix [redacted]'s drain after he caused the damage himself. Bottom line is Chris went to look at this drain 3 different times and each time the drainage was working properly. [redacted] has texted Chris several times, which Chris has responded to the majority of them. If Chris is so rude and arrogant why did [redacted] contact Chris 2 months ago in April for jobs to be performed at his property? [redacted] states that his neighbor's contractor fixed the problem, which I am not sure what that was since it was working properly when Chris came out those 3 times. So the problem lies not with the drain, but with the trench that [redacted] dug himself. [redacted] has contacted serveral other social media outlets, for reasons that Chris Orser Landscaping is not responsible for. If this continues we will be forced to contact our lawyer.Thank YouKaren T[redacted] Office Manager
