Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina PA

They were paid by the insurance company on 3/20/14 and will not refund the difference that I over paid on 3/12/14.On 3/12/2014, my wife called several urgent care offices inquiring if they could set a broken arm and was advised that a doctor has to set a broken arm. Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina at 1505 SW Cary Pkwy, Cary, NC said they could set a broken arm before we went there. After they took a x-ray of my son's arm, the lady informed us the doctor was out of the office that week, so they could not set a broken arm and placed his arm in a splint. They charged me $127.49 to my credit card for taking an x-ray and placing a splint on his arm. My wife was upset with them lying to her that they could set his arm, so we found a different Orthopaedic Office the next day to have his arm set. On 3/20/2014 the insurance company [redacted] paid them $349.26 and my responsibility was $38.79. Now, they will not reimburse me the difference of $88.70. We have called 4 times to inquire about reimbursement and they see that we are owed in the computer, but will not cut a check. In addition, they are charging us a surgery charge on the bill when there wasn't a doctor in the office.
