I am rejecting this response because:
Dear
*** ***,
Thank
you for your repeated efforts and I’m glad that the Doctor finally
responded. I appreciate his flexible
attitude to adjust the balance of my son’s billBut that is not the point; the point is
whether my son’s bill was fairThe hospital’s ER room is very small, I was
there all the time and everyone was within my sightI precisely knew how long
the Doctor’s presence was and what he didBefore he showed up, everything was
done except the splintAfter he came, the only thing he did was to ask what my
job was, gave me his name card and asked my son to visit his clinic next
WednesdayThe whole process was no more than secondsI believe there were vigilance
cameras in the hospital, if you don’t believe what I said, we can check the
cameras
I
respect doctorsAmong all the professionals, doctors enjoy wonderful
reputationThat was why when he asked my job, I was not realized the question
would be a trap, same as in the situation that when I rented a house or bought
a car, the frequent question the agents asked was ”what is your budget?” The
budget was a trap and would eventually become the base I was chargedWithout
any alert, I honestly told doctor I was a diplomatIn general perception,
diplomats are rich peopleI guessed that was the origin of my son’s unreasonable
high bill
I
fully understand how much labor, hardship, time and money a guy must pay before
he successfully becomes a licensed orthopedic doctor, but that would not in any
sense entitle him to ignore fairness and charge a patient randomlyNo one can
say to train a cardio doctor is much easier than a orthopedic doctor, last
month I visited a cardiologist in *** Hospital due to my chest pain, you
know how much I was charged? About dollars! I had CT angiography check, I
was in the million worth CT machine about minutes, and the final bill is
about $Besides, when the hospital knew I had no medical insurance, the
hospital told me the expected cost before any single step and explained
everything in details, I had the right to make the final decisionThis is the
way to do businessAs to our case, I was neither told in advance the doctor’s
seconds appearance and an appointment would cost me $1093, nor was told this
charge covered days follcare until I read his response to Revdex.com todayA
lawyer is also a professional, whose hardship for license is no less than a
doctor, the most expensive lawyer in American history as the press called is
former House speaker *** ***’s, his charge is dollars per hour, by hour, sir,
not by seconds
Our
case is not about money, it is about fairness and a doctor’s integrityI do
not like the way that the doctor unfairly charged my son and then agreed to give me a
discount due to your so called pityMy family has been here more than three
years and has visited many doctors, so far this is the only one I have problems
on medical bill
Please kindly pass my response to the doctor

Dear [redacted],I am happy to discuss the experience of my pediatric patient seen in the emergency room of [redacted] Hospital on September 13, 2015. I am an orthopedic trauma Surgeon who was on call for the hospital the night of the patients accident. He was assessed by an emergency room...

physician and diagnosed with tibia fracture. I was consulted to determine whether the fracture would require Surgery, but chose conservative, non-operative treatment, instead. The patients leg was immobilized with a splint in the hospital and he visited my office three days later to have a cast applied. It is worth noting that pediatric fractures are cared for only by orthopedic surgeons with Specialized training after medical school. There is significant experience required to differentiate a difficult fracture requiring Surgery from a less complicated fracture. Simple fractures that are treated incorrectly can create complications. Furthermore, few doctors are willing to provide this service to pediatric patient because malpractice rates care high.
I Understand how there may be a surprise with the short amount of time spent during the initial visit. However, there is travel time for the emergency, and there is time spent reviewing the records and discussing the case with the ER team. Finally, the initial fee covers 90 days of follow-Up care. That means that the parents will not pay an office visit charge when they bring their son in to see me, and instead pay only for x-rays, casting, and similar procedure fees.
I am sympathetic to the fact that this patient is Uninsured, so I offered to discount my services on October 28. We sent a detailed statement of our charges on the same date. My Practice Administrator, Chuck G[redacted],is available to discuss the balance and answer any questions. His direct line is ###-###-####. I am unable to cancel the bill, as was requested, but am certainly amendable to adjusting the balance Under the circumstances.
