From: *** ***Date: Tue, Dec 20, at 5:PMSubject: In reference to complaint #***To: ***@myRevdex.com.org*** ***-I appreciate that the mechanic, Brian, chose to respond to my complaint with detailed explanation for his failure to provide safe and timely service of my vehicleThis is encouraging given that he has not responded to my independent inquires into the matterUnfortunately, this was not a courtesy that I was afforded at the time of serviceDespite his reporting, the circumstances remain that he coerced payment for services that he could not render at the time with the threat of removing my inspection stickers both old and updated yielding my care illegal to driveThis service delay resulted in loss wages because I did not have a repaired automobile for a scheduled business tripFinally, the shop failed to secure my automobile while in their careWhile he alleges that they did not cause damage to my car, which I dispute, they also parked my automobile illegally on a public streetThey did not alert me that the automobile was available as confirmed in their responseThis further exposed my car to the risk of the damage it inevitably received.I disagree with Brian's assertion that I was upset and unable to calm down on the date that I collected my automobileI was quite calm and respectfulI called his shop that evening and informed him that I would be making a police report from the location where he'd left my car parkedHis retort was that it was not his problemI wrote a thorough letter expressing my consumer expectations, poor experience and the hope that MrB's could retain my respect as a quality neighborhood auto shop in the neighborhood I work inThese effort to communicate a resolution have gone without response from MrB'sAutoThis is contrary to what Brian describes as my not expressing my dissatisfactionI have not returned to the business that sits across the street from my job site because Brian was dismissive and rude at the onset of this issueI think it would be fruitless and disruptive to discuss this at the business given his previous conduct.I will note that I am not seeking a refund for the entire amountI noted that as the amount in disputeI am seeking the cost of damages to my rear left bumper and body of my car as well as the cost of transportation for the day the car was in service as I'd scheduled a meeting on the day actual repairs were made after being informed that my car would be serviced on the first date he failed to render repairsThis are fair expectations of a business that provided such deplorable customer service and care of my carMy dissatisfaction remains in their unethical practices, poor customer service and damage of my automobile. -*** ***

Dear *** *** ***/Revdex.com,My name is Bryan W***, I am the Owner/Operator of MrB's Best Auto RepairI am a certified mechanic with over years of experience in my field and I have been in business for over years. It is true that *** *** came into the shop on
10/28/for an inspectionI ran the emissions test and the car passedBy state law, I also have to conduct a safety inspection of the vehicleUpon inspection, the car need brakes and sway bar links to pass the state safety inspectionI then called *** *** and informed her of the results.I explained that the vehicle passed the emissions test and I place the emissions inspection Sticker on the vehicle, however, she would not be able to get the safety inspection without the Sway bar links and the brakesWhat *** *** seemed confused about in her letter to the Revdex.com is howthe State inspection system worksI will explain what she stated in her letter seemed inaccurate. There are two stickers on the windshield of every passenger car in the state of PennsylvaniaOne for emissions (the exhaust gas emitted by your muffler) and the Safety sticker (stating that the vehicle is safe enough to travel on the road.) By PA state law, if the vehicle passed the emissions test, the emission sticker can be placed on the vehicleIf the vehicle fails the safety check, the repairs must be conducted before the safety sticker is placed on the vehicleMaybe *** *** is not familiar with PA Safety rules and I think this is what she thinks seemed inaccurate. The Swaybar links reduces steering play and keeps the car stable on the roadThis is a huge part of the safety inspectionWe replace sway bar links on vehicles all year round for inspection*** *** states "I was informed that the mechanic ran out of gas to weld the new sway bars.” *** *** has this confusedThe links on *** *** vehicle were fuse so tightly, they needed to be heated and or burned off by our acetylene torch to be removedThis is also a regular occurrence when replacing sway bar links and other suspension parts. When I began to do the work, the oxygen tank ran out of gas and the Sway bars could not be heated and removedI informed *** *** that she could return on Monday when I acquire a new tank of oxygen gas and I could then replace her sway bar links and pass her for the safety check.*** *** also states "I was informed that I would otherwise have to pay for another inspection.” This is also not true and a misunderstanding by *** ***What was said is she could take her vehicle to another shop, which is her right to do so, however, she would have to pay that shop for another safety inspection*** *** would not have to pay our shop for another inspection if we conducted the Work on her vehicle.I also explained that she could return Monday when I have a new oxygen tank and complete the work on the carShe agreed.Monday 10/31/2016, my mechanic called out sick, I was alone in the shop and unable to obtain the oxygen tank that morningThe company is not opened on weekends so I was unable to obtain the oxygen tank on Saturday the 29thI let *** *** know of the dilemma I faced and offered her a refund or Tuesday as an option*** *** chose Tuesday.I completed the work on Tuesday 1/01/*** *** called that afternoon and I notified her that the car is readyShe came in the evening and as she come into the office, she told me her car was damaged.I stepped outside with her and looked at the vehicle and did not notice any damages*** *** pointed out scratches to the bumperI informed her that I am 100% certain they did not occur while the vehicle was in our careI also pointed out to her numerous other scratches on the vehicle*** *** became intense and angry and would not calm downI handed her the keys and said goodbye, thank her for her business and apologized for the inconvenienceBefore the situation escalated out of proportion I assured her once again that I was not the culprit of the Scratches on the vehicle and returned to the shop. There were no fresh cuts, dents or indentations on her vehicleThe minor scratches I point out to her were dated and had been there for quite some timeFurthermore, *** *** did not return to the shop to voice her dissatisfaction with services performed on her vehicleI simple got this letter from the BB in the mail*** *** is requesting a refund for the services performed on the vehicle, however, the services rendered were impeccableHow can *** *** request a refund for good service'? This is just unfair on the part of *** ***.I treat all customers entering my business establishment with the highest respect and courtesyI do not perform work on any customer's vehicle without approvalI am quick to offer a refund or discount for inconvenience or parts unavailableI am always willing to work with and satisfy a customer; in the hopes of keeping every customer for the long termOver thousand customers have visited the shop this year and this is my only complaint.I fully comprehend the sensitive nature of *** ***'s visit and the love for her vehicle and sympathize with her in this matter, however, I am 100% certain that the shop took meticulous care of her vehicle and caused no damages at all to her vehicleI am 100% certain because I personally saw to the work conducted on *** ***’s vehicleI also took the time and assured *** *** that this was not any case of negligence on our part at MrB'sI am taking time out to write a respond because I care about *** *** and wish to retain her as a customerMr B's Best Auto Repair is always willing to work with all customers and keep them coming back to the shop for the long term.Sincerely,MrB's Best Auto Repair

December 28, 2016Hello [redacted],Good day to you again. certainly appreciate your time and effort towards conclusion of this case.First and foremost, [redacted] seems to be seeking remedies to problems that do no exists. I had already explained the problems we faced with her vehicle and she agreed to the delay and refused the refund offered to her at the time service was being rendered. [redacted] is flat outlying about her experience. I cannot offer her any monetary satisfaction. To say that "coerced payment for services that I could not render and threat of removing her inspection stickers rendering her car illegal to drive, is a lie. If her stickers were removed, we would have placed on new stickers after inspection. Secondly, [redacted] had the option to go to any of the other thousands of shops and be inspected immediately so this is just not true. It would seem that [redacted] had a bad day and decided to make Mr. B's Best her target for that day.She stated the delay resulted in loss wages, this is absolutely ludicrous and speaks to the dishonesty of [redacted]. Philadelphia is a first world city, not a village on a remote planet; if a business trip is vital to my job, I can rent a car immediately or better yet borrow one to make my trip. This to me suggest, [redacted] is not prepared to function in a business climate. If she is prepared she would circumvent obstacles and delays and make her important business trip. Let's be truthful here, [redacted] works across the Street and informed us, she would be at work all day, to please call if we needed anything.[redacted] says we have damaged her car, there were no damages to [redacted]'s automobile, at all when I inspected it; [redacted] says we parked her car illegally on a public street, how is this possible? There were no tickets on her car for what she alleges is illegal parking. This is clearly a case of trying to get something from Mr. B's where clearly there is nothing to get here. At best [redacted] is grasping at straws.
