Customer brought in vehicle with bent front axles, we gave him a price for new ones and price for used ones, he opted to go with the used ones from a salvage yardAfter the vehicle left the shop a stud broke holding one of the shocks on to the axle, allowing the shock to be unhocked from the axle The part that broke is a used part and no warranty on used parts, never the less we told him to bring it back and we would fix it for freeOne month later I still had not been paid the $ I called him, and he said he has been too busy to get it up to our shopAnother month later I called and told him I needed paid and could tow the vehicle up to my shop, fix it and take it back all free of chargeHe said, “No”, he will bring it upFour more weeks go by and I tell him I need paid now, and he said he put a check in the mailTwo more weeks and no check, I call again and he says he dose not have the money, he will pay me when he has the moneyI waited a week or two then file in small claims courtA week after filing he sends me a check for $1600.00, so he paid what he owed me plus the court cost without even trying to show up in court and tell his story to the judgeThat in itself is evidence that he knows he is in the wrongThe point is he went with a used axle and a part on it broke, I bent over back words to keep him happy event though it was not our faultIf he thought I was such a rip off repair shop than why did he not show up in court and show the judge his evidence and why was he a regular customer for at least the last years?

Yes, the customer was given a choice for used and new axles, the new ones were around $just for two axlesWhen he dropped it off to be repaired his own words were "We have to make it work till I get my new van back, I don’t want to put any money in it that I don’t have to." We gave him both prices and then he asked when it would be done and we told him we were waiting on the axles getting pulled at the junk yardhis total bill if we used new axles would have been over $3000.00, for a rusted out van that had already been put out of service and replaced with a new van For him to say he did not know that we put used axles on is a compete lieAlso, I called him multiple times and talked to him about why I hadn’t been paidNot once did he ask me for a refund or tell me he was not bringing it to my shop because of the bad quality of my workHe always said he was too busy and would bring it when he had timeWhen I offered to tow it free of charge to my shop, he said it had a flat tire and there was a car in the wayNot once did he ask me for a refundThe reason he kept putting me off was if he let me fix it then he would be obligated to pay the bill He wrote Revdex.com that he wanted it fixed at another facility than why would he not tell me that he got it fixed elsewhere and wanted a refund? He never mentioned anything like thatSo wait, he didn’t know about me filing against him in small claims court, but he makes a check out for nearly $more than he owes on a bill that he thinks he should not have to pay in the first place, and pays extra to cover "any late fees that might have accrued," but then immediately makes a complaint to the Revdex.com? If I had not filed against him I still would not have received any payment, let alone $extra

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I was NOT given the choice of new or usedYes I had been a LOYAL client for four years and in those four years with all the vehicles taken here I have NEVER requested or accepted USED parts and this garage knows that to be trueIt was known that I ALWAYS have had and with NUMEROUS vehicles repair needed without the shop having to callThe question was why did I pay the bill and as I stated in the first letter (IN GOOD FAITH) and this shop also knows thisI have sent MANY clients to this facility over the last several yearsI myself have had numerous vehicles serviced / repaired thereThis shop has had MANY mechanics and it appears that the work completed by them has INCREASINGLY become UNSATISFACTORYWith such a long standing history with this shop I would have thought that they would have offered a refund (in part not all) I do NOT want a full refundNEVER have I requested USED PARTS...NEVERThis was NOT the first time that I have had unsatisfactory work at this shop and HAVE had to return for correction but thought that we are all human and might have missed something, but with this being multiple occurrences' I did not want to return for ANOTHER fix but to go to a different facilityJust a request of the $ refundThe picture itself showsAs the shop owner stated years being a customer, that's "bending over backwards" but I guess the people they hire are going to continue this reputationAnother note, the bill was paid BEFORE I received notice that there was litigation pending, IF I had known about the litigation PRIOR to sending a check I would have waited to speak in front of the judge, (the check was written days prior to receiving the certified mail from the court) but again, I paid it in good faith AND included additional money to cover any late fee or interest that might have accruedThis shop litigated for the invoice plus the filing fees (which the check that was written PRIOR to notice)According to the court documents, the total payable including all fees was $1,and the check was for $1,which leaves this shop owing me $which I have not receivedso much for good faith or as they stated "bending over backwards" watch out because we see what happens when you bend over in front of this businessI can only state to future folks the experience that I have had while being a loyal long time customer and they can make their own decisionOver the years...thousands of dollars in work for this $Best of luck

Customer brought in vehicle with bent front axles, we gave him a price for new ones and price for used ones, he opted to go with the used ones from a salvage yard. After the vehicle left the shop a stud broke holding one of the shocks on to the axle, allowing the shock to be unhocked from the axle....

The part that broke is a used part and no warranty on used parts, never the less we told him to bring it back and we would fix it for free. One month later I still had not been paid the $1400.00.  I called him, and he said he has been too busy to get it up to our shop. Another month later I called and told him I needed paid and could tow the vehicle up to my shop, fix it and take it back all free of charge. He said, “No”, he will bring it up. Four more weeks go by and I tell him I need paid now, and he said he put a check in the mail. Two more weeks and no check, I call again and he says he dose not have the money, he will pay me when he has the money. I waited a week or two then file in small claims court. A week after filing he sends me a check for $1600.00, so he paid what he owed me plus the court cost  without even trying to show up in court and tell his story to the judge. That in itself is evidence that he knows he is in the wrong. The point is he went with a used axle and a part on it broke, I bent over back words to keep him happy event though it was not our fault. If he thought I was such a rip off repair shop than why did he not show up in court and show the judge his evidence and why was he a regular customer for at least the last 4 years?

Yes, the customer was given a choice for used and new axles, the new ones were around $1500 just for two axles. When he dropped it off to be repaired his own words were "We have to make it work till I get my new van back, I don’t want to put any money in it that I don’t have to." We gave him both prices and then he asked when it would be done and we told him we were waiting on the axles getting pulled at the junk yard. his total bill if we used new axles would have been over $3000.00, for a rusted out van that had already been put out of service and replaced with a new van.  For him to say he did not know that we put used axles on is a compete lie. Also, I called him multiple times and talked to him about why I hadn’t been paid. Not once did he ask me for a refund or tell me he was not bringing it to my shop because of the bad quality of my work. He always said he was too busy and would bring it when he had time. When I offered to tow it free of charge to my shop, he said it had a flat tire and there was a car in the way. Not once did he ask me for a refund. The reason he kept putting me off was if he let me fix it then he would be obligated to pay the bill.    He wrote Revdex.com that he wanted it fixed at another facility than why would he not tell me that he got it fixed elsewhere and wanted a refund? He never mentioned anything like that. So wait, he didn’t know about me filing against him in small claims court, but he makes a check out for nearly $200 more than he owes on a bill that he thinks he should not have to pay in the first place, and pays extra to cover "any late fees that might have accrued," but then immediately makes a complaint to the Revdex.com? If I had not filed against him I still would not have received any payment, let alone $200 extra.
