Review: On 08/17 my wife contacted [redacted] to repair our refrigerator, he told my wife he was stoping by the next day, he did not show up till the 19, his diagnostic was a burned motherboard due to short-circuit on the icemaker. [redacted] instructs us that he could overnight the part as we had the refrigerator full of food. A few days later, we contact him for status we were told that he did not overnight; on the 27th [redacted] shows up with a part; he installs it with our checking for the short-circuit and plugs the refrigerator. needless to say the part burned again, I was told that the LG board was defective that’s why it burned, the refrigerator is a [redacted]. He says he was to return the defective part and will return. Later that day he called and asked for the serial number and model number of the refrigerator so that he can have the correct part. On 8/30 he install a new part, he told me not to turn the ice maker until the system reset an hour or so after he install the part, that he was going to give me the warranty and invoice once he returns from the holidays on 9/1 or 9/2. I call him on 9/2 as the repair did not work, if I turn the icemaker on the refrigerator starts shorting out, I call him several times and he keeps telling me tomorrow but never shows up. I loosed all the food on a fully stocked refrigerator do to [redacted] unreliability.Desired Settlement: I am satisfied if he is to finish the job and have my refrigerator operational. If he is not able to do this, return my money so that I can contract some one that can.

Response:

A technician referred me to [redacted] to go give my diagnostics on their [redacted] refrigerator. I asked them a few questions and I noticed that somebody messed with the refrigerator to try and fix it. So I asked them who tried fixing their refrigerator and their response was that it was [redacted] the homeowner. I told them the same day that those refrigerators are pretty sensitive and shouldn't be tampered with it if they didn't know how to fix it. My diagnosis was that the PC Board was burned out and I gave them an estimate for $320 for parts and labor. I ordered the part and it took 2 weeks to arrive and later installed it. I got the wrong part so I informed [redacted] that I would try to get the part as soon as possible. The part came in and I went on a Saturday afternoon and installed the PC Board. I tested the refrigerator and everything was working fine except the ice maker. Then I told [redacted] that he needed to replace the ice maker because it had a shortage and that's the reason the PC Board was burned. Now [redacted] is saying that he wants the Ice Maker fixed but I told him that fixing that problem is going to be a separate cost. He didn't like the fact of paying more so that's the reason [redacted] contacted you guys saying that he wanted his money back. If [redacted] wants his money back I am happy to return it but [redacted] can return my parts that cost $220 that I installed. (Take in note he didn't have food in the refrigerator because the compressor wasn't working and some problems could have occurred because [redacted] was tampering with the refrigerator).
