Oshkosh City Cab

An establishment in Oshkosh called me a cab early morning 1-17-15. City Cab showed up, he drove a total of 13.3 miles and I was charged $55.00. (I do have a receipt for this) I disputed the fare with the driver, who was very kind and told me that I would need to contact the owners as they are the one who decide the rates. I called and spoke with the wife on Tuesday 1-20-15 and asked for a quote to make sure that it wasn't a fluke that I was charged this outrageous amount. She quoted me $43 and when I questioned her rates she said "well then just call another cab company" and hung up on me. (I researched other local cab companies and was quoted $22 and $24) Who regulates cab fare rates? How can they get away with this, especially with the current price of gas?
She was very RUDE and disrespectful when I questioned her on why their rates were double everybody else. I would never recommend this company.

Review: person answering (tracy) phone claimed I had not called for a cab 45 minutes ago. said I was a liar and hung. up. upon follow up call was told "I dont have time for your [redacted] I'm canceling your cab" hung up on mye again and I had to walk home.

IM RESPONDING TO A CUSTOMER COMPLAIN THAT YOU SENT US ON NOV 2,2013.1 HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS COMPLAIN AND FOUND THAT MY DISPATCHER TRACEY DID NOT SWEAR TO THIS S PERSON,NOR WOULD SHE SPEAK TO ANY CUSTOMER IN THAT MANNER .. .! SPOKE WITH THE DISPATCHER IN QUESTION SHE SAID GOT A CALL FROM A PERSON THAT WAS OUT ,SHE AT THAT POINT DISPATCHER TOLD HIM THE CAB WAS ON ITS WA Y,THEN CUSTOMER SAID HE HAS WAITED OVER AN 1 HOUR DISPATCHER ALSO TOLD CUSTOMER THAT EVERY CALL THAT COME INTO BUSINESS IS TIME STAMPED AND THAT HE CALLED AT 1 :49 AM. ALSO THE WEEKEND THAT THE CLOCKS WE TURNED BACK.THE DISPATCHER I'll NEVER CALLED CUSTOMER A LIAR.IF THERE ARE ANYMORE QUESTION PLEASE CALL MY OFFICE. [redacted]
