Oshkosh Collection and Recovery Reviews (7)

Ms. [redacted]: This is in response to ID [redacted].  The detail sent outlined the service(s) rendered and the balance(s) due per our client(s). As explained previously, the $3.00 sent does not pay the account(s)in full which is why it was returned to her. She claims to have made payment on the account(s) in the past so if she has proof of payment for the account(s), we again ask she send that information to us as soon as possible. Without that information, there is nothing more we can do to help her resolve her issue. Thank you,   [redacted]

Ms. [redacted]:This is in response to ID [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] mailed a payment on 7/23/15 in the amount of $3.00 with a note indicating the payment was for “payment in full”. That payment was returned to her 7/23/15 at the address she indicated, explaining the payment does not pay the balance in full...

with notification of a printing error on her notice which showed the correct account balance but an incorrect total balance. We wanted her to be aware of the actual balance before applying any payments. She then sent another $3.00 payment with the notation of “payment in full” on 1/3/17.  The payment was returned to her along with the list of her accounts outlining each balance due on 1/3/17. Should Ms. [redacted] need more information we are happy to send the breakdown of charges and the account transaction history. If she has proof of payment showing her balance is only $3.00 we ask that she send that to us as soon as possible for review with the client(s).   Respectfully,[redacted]

the above case number. The statute of limitations on an account is six years
from date of last payment or last activity on the account. If...

there is a
judgment on the account, this period is extended to twenty (20) years from the
date of the judgment. Once an account is turned over for collection,
typically a client will mark that account as in collection and write it off
their active books. This does not mean the account is not still owed. When an account is turned
over for collection, and a claim of payment has been made, our clients request proof
of payment be supplied. In many cases, the debtor may have open accounts not
yet in collection so any payments sent directly to the client will be applied
to any open balances within their office. We request any proof of payment be
sent directly to us to help identify where or if the payment was applied.  We strive to work with the debtors to resolve
any discrepancies but in some cases, we are unable to do so without additional
information from them.We strive to work with each debtor so should a
debtor wish to receive a breakdown of charges we will send one to them should
it be specifically requested even after the required 30-validation period has
expired.       If a debtor has a question on an account or if they
wish to send any information showing proof of payment we ask that they contact
us directly at [redacted].Thank you,[redacted]ManagerFinancial

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted] Dear Revdex.com, when you open a invoice and the balance is stated as $3.00, do you see that as you need do pay $3.00? Well I and many others see it as you need o pay the balance $3.00 to clear up the bill.I still feel the Oshkosh company is acting underhanded and in bad business manner. Many others agree with me that the balance is what one needs to pay.  Thank youRobyn

Review: I received a letter saying that I owed $2,795.45 to a creditor named [redacted] LLC. I had no idea who that is since I've never been to Oshkosh or Fon Du Lac. I looked it up on Google and and the only thing I could find was a real estate agency in Fon Du Lac. The creditor has the same address as Oshkosh and Recovery's secondary address listed on Revdex.com. I'm not sure why they sent me a letter. I've never signed up with any creditor in my life and any bills I do have I have usually pay on time. I've never received anything saying I had some debt to pay to the company, just this letter that suddenly showed up.Desired Settlement: What the charges are about. If I never signed up for it, why am I being billed close to $3000?

Response:

This letter is in response to the above case number. Should a debtor believe they are not responsible for a debt, we recommend a dispute letter be sent to us to allow us to conduct an investigation. If

documentation can be provided to substantiate a debtor's claim they are not responsible for the debt and that information is verified, they will be removed from the account.

Review: I have received a bill just this year that is 7 years old. This bill was originally with OK Credit out of New London and I thought I paid this in full because I have not seen of heard anything about it in 6 years and I was paying on it thru them. The orginal bill is from New London Family Medical Center in New London Wi. I have called them and they do not have any record of me owing for this. I contacted Financial Recoveries and they originally said I have to prove I do not owe it. Then I recently talked with another girl and she said I do owe it I told her they have no record of it and she said they probably wrote it off. I find that strange because I did have one for under $100 that they still had on record which I took care of. I asked for a detail copy of the invoice for a total of $1038.41 and all they could provide me was the amount. I know when I was dealing with OK Credit the business was going bankrupt and I believe they might have gotten files mixed up or lost. I do not believe I owe this money and they keep telling me I do. I would like them to take this off my record as I believe it was paid if there is no longer a record of it.Desired Settlement: Please take the bill off of what I owe and correct my credit report.
