A hotel room I booked is not a legitimate booking. I have asked for a refund & Its being refused.
I booked a hotel room through otel.com. I got a hotel voucher from metglobal. It was fishy looking. I emailed the hotel to see if they had my reservation. They told me they did not. I asked if they used otel.com to book their hotel rooms. They told me they don't use otel.com for their bookings. I have spoken to 3 people from otel.com via online chats. They are refusing to refund my credit card. I opened a ticket on otel.coms website with the email proof from the hotel & no one is responding to me. I want a credit card refund.

I want the money I paid for the hotel room refunded. It is $102.

Attempted receive refund from company due to cancelled travel plan related to a State of emergency.
On June 18th I booked a hotel room through otel.com using my paypal credit for New Orleans,LA July 13th through the 16th. On July 11th I contacted otel.com, a company managed by met global, via email requesting a cancellation and refund of the hotel because New Orleans was being evacuated due to Hurricane Barry. I did not receive a response from otel.com's customer service until July 13th which stated that they could not cancel or refund my hotel unless the hotel agreed to the cancellation. I contacted the hotel to cancel and the person I spoke with stated that my reservation was already cancelled and that my card was not charged.

When I contacted otel.com's customer service again I did not receive any response at all. I reached out to otel.com's customer service email that was provided on my paypal credit account, but received an automated response that basically said the email was not active. After waiting several days for any response I filed a dispute to paypal and left a review on a ***.com. It was only then did someone reply to my issue about a refund. Because I filed a dispute otel.com/*** refused to issue a refund and stated to take it up with paypal credit.

In spite of everything I contacted my hotel and verified the date that my hotel was book and the date is cancelled. The hotel management identified the booking agency on their end as hotelbeds which is a service most 3rd party websites use to book rooms in hotels. I was told by management that my hotel reservation was cancelled the day it was booked. I was also given an official letter in writing stating that due to Hurricane Barry all reservations cancelled the weekend of July 13th to the 16th were allowed to be cancelled and refunded without penalty. The manager also stated that if otel.com had contacted them directly they would have gladly made it clear that my reservation could be refunded without penalty due to the state of emergency. At this time otel.com/metgroup are currently holding $308.45 for no reason or cause. Not only are they charging me for a service that they did not provide they are subsequently penalizing me for the weather and a state of emergency which I have no control over.

It is my understanding that if I had arrived at my destination that weekend I would not have even had a hotel room because the room was booked and cancelled on June 18th. Also after researching this company there are hundreds of negative reviews of travel not being booked, customers stranded without hotel rooms, and being charged for travel.

I am simply seeking a refund and nothing else.

I am simply requesting a refund of 308.45 the amount of money paid for the hotel that was never booked.

I booked hotel stay at *** website, one of metglobal companies in 3rd Dec 2018 , for 4 nights ( 3-7 jan 2019 ) and they confirm it with reservation no. *** after The full amount was deducted from my visa credit card no. *** ( the confirmation voucher is attached)
After that on 3 rd Jan 2019 I went to hotel to do check in and the receptionist told me you have to pay a fees of different nationality 2500 euro , I phoned the hotline of *** to clarify this amount, they told me : it's our mistake, just pay the difference and later we will make a refund to your credit card in 3-5 business days. I paid the difference amount ( the invoice from hotel is attached) then the waiting period was finished I tried to contact them thru phone and email or live chat but no response. I want them ( *** ) to make refund of 2500 euro to my credit card as they promised in 3-5 business days

I want *** ( one of metglobal companies) to make a refund of the invoice that i paid to the hotel as extra fees of different nationality ( 2500 euro)

Thank you for contacting otel.com about the client's request.

We have contacted with our client and informed that all the nationality fee which he has paid extra will be fully refunded. Full booking amount is refunded as 4760.23 SAR on 08 Feb 2019 and remaining amount will be refunded as 1.386,37 EUR to his card account.

It will reflect to the clients card account in 7-14 business days.
