I am rejecting this response because: I specifically hired this company to remove the irrigation pipes in a single area in my yardI DID NOT WANT ANY PIPES UNDER THE GROUND! He suggested removing the tree which I agreedThe roots of the tree were tangled with the pipesI wanted these pipes removed[redacted] HOOVER treated me very rudely when I had requested him to come only after o'clockI got home about 2:p.mEverything was covered with dirtI was willing to pay him for the tree removal and was not prepared on a Friday night before Christmas to write him the full amount and I wanted to be able to see his workLater that night he insisted that I pay him the $that was difficult for me to do and I still did not know about the pipesI truly felt threatenedHe owes me that money back or he can have his workers remove the few remaining pipes that are now a problemI do not want him to come to my house again. My yard still has ditches that show disconnected pipes and other pipes that I didn't wantAnd I have more to dig to see where one of the pipes goesI have never had such a situation with anyone

At the time I did business with this company in May and June 2015, it was Revdex.com acceditted, but is not now I spent $12,having an ornamental steel fence installed in two stages I began having problems the 2nd day when I noticed the workers, instead of installig the remaining 2-panels which were lying on my grass, they spent the day moving the subsoil/rocks around on my lawn (which wasn't removed...just moved around). They began the same thing the next daySince I needed the fence installed for safety purposes and wanted to beat the storm that was arriving any day in our area, I complained to the owner who then came out and got them to install the panelsThe gate opening into my yard from the driveway that I requested to finish this project was also finished, but a week or so later I noticed that the rails that were welded together to make it wider did not match up with a1/4" difference in their heights with a mass of bumpy slag used to hide this defect..This was corrected when I mentioned itThe excuse: "The rain was coming in and we wanted to get it finished." Why not knock on my door and tell me this was a poor job that would be corrected when more time was available instead of waiting for me to notice this deficiency a week or so later.? Then, it was the welders "eyes" that were the problem he told me, not the time frame??
More problems came about when the holes they had superficially filled b/c they'd dug 3-holes in the wrong place on one side of my fence had the dirt washed out by the torrential riainThat's why they were pushing dirt around my yard and throwing some through the fence into my neighbor's yard..they had't completely filled the holes..with the dirtThis same problem showed up on the other side of my fence I had installed later as well after another rain
Then, I noticed they'd completely ruined my mulch bed under my old pine tree, dumping subsoil and rocks on top of the mulch, and leaving the landscaping fabric exposed and flapping in the wind, as well as dirt being exposed at the edge of the metal rim surrounding my mulch bed When I mentioned this to the project manager, he tried to sell ME more mulch for ME to corrrect the problem That was the only thing he had to say When I c/o to the owner, the men came out early one morning b/f I was awake and just put more cheap red chipped mulch over the dirt and rocks, adn did somewhat correct the landscape fabric flapping in the wind I was suspicious of what they had done, but was just too tired of griping at this business Some days later it was evident what they done when I saw grass/weeds growing in the mulch bed and I racked back the mulch to see mounds of dirt and rock under the new mulch Of course, now weeds now are growing from the dirt under the mulch, which I have to go out and pick Cost me $2,to create that metal rimmed mulch bed with landscape fabric and cyprus mulch It's now ruined
The owner promised me that his men could could move the sprinklers in my lawn so that they could install the fence Another horror story, as two of them kept breaking on the edge of my sidewalk,w/water running down sidewalkAnd,later on the other side of my yard My husband had to go out after three attempts at correcting this to tell them how to correct the problemThey later said this was d/t the "old" pastic piping which was too thin and when the sprinklers were removed, it cracked the "old" plastic, thin pipe I refuted this by saying they'd changed out of my sprinkers (sometimes several times as they had them set too deep or in the wrong place) w/o the "old" thin plastic pipe bursting, and that more than likely someone hit the pipe with a spade while digging the hole for those sprinklers They continued to say it was the "thin" old pipe
More problems followed with dirt not being used to fill the wrong holes being dug on the other side of my yard
Then, there was the problem I found a month after the installation of the driveway gates: the piece of metal piping used to secure one gate to the driveway when closed, was 6" short, leaving me with just 1" being inserted into the cement of my drivewayThis was corrected, but the pipe is still unable to be inserted fully into the drilled hole in the drive was b/c hole too shallow
Latest probem is the cheap paint given to repair the scratches on my metal fence, saying I could just pay $or so and get some enamel black paint to spray on the scratchesGave me two cans of it Now, I have a grey film over my fence where they/I have used this cheap paint, which turns out NOT to be the correct paint to use on metal After research, I found a company in the Ft.Worth/Dallas area that installs this type fenceThey sold me the paint that I need to repair the paint job(if that's even possible)Cost was almost $for six cans I can see why this company had again tried to fool me
I like the owner and his design was beautiful Work crew ***

The customer stated that she sent us a letter on April 18, but we did not receive it until April (the same day the complaint was made to the Revdex.com about us not responding to the letter)After replying to her letter, she sent us a copy of the signed contract from the job we did five months ago in
December Mrs*** complaint was on the basis that we did not remove piping from her yardHowever, as evidenced by the signed contract, the agreement was to remove the existing black flexible piping underground and replace it with the proper PVC pipesAs a favor, I am going back to the property on Monday, May 23, to dig up part of her yard to show her where the pipes lead to.Based on the signed contract, Hoover Horticultural Service did in fact adequately complete the agreed upon work in Mrs*** yard

I am rejecting this response because: I specifically hired this company to remove the irrigation pipes in a single area in my yard. I DID NOT WANT ANY PIPES UNDER THE GROUND! He suggested removing the tree which I agreed. The roots of the tree were tangled with the pipes. I wanted these pipes removed.[redacted] HOOVER treated me very rudely when I had requested him to come only after 3 o'clock. I got home about 2:50 p.m. Everything was covered with dirt. I was willing to pay him for the tree removal and was not prepared on a Friday night before Christmas to write him the full amount and I wanted to be able to see his work. Later that night he insisted that I pay him the $1000 that was difficult for me to do and I still did not know about the pipes. I truly felt threatened. He owes me that money back or he can have his workers remove the few remaining pipes that are now a problem. I do not want him to come to my house again. My yard still has ditches that show disconnected pipes and other pipes that I didn't want. And I have more to dig to see where one of the pipes goes. I have never had such a situation with anyone.

Hoover Horticultural Service followed the contract and charged the amount that was agreed upon in the contract. We removed the existing pipes and installed PVC pipes, as per the signed contract; the contract clearly states "pulling pipe and installing existing drip line (black) in PVC". We are not at fault that Mrs. [redacted] misinterpreted this.
