We Bought a Otterbox for my wife about weeks ago and then days ago I bought one for myselfWhen I got home and took it out of the box there was warning about proposition which states that there is a chemical known to cause cancer, infertility and birth defectsThe warning is inside of the box and not visible from the outside We would not have bought the products if we were aware before purchasingWe contacted Otterbox and they told us to bring them back to the store for a refundThe store said all sales were final and for us to contact Otterbox so we didOtterbox told us that they could not help us because we did not buy the products directly from themThe total for both items were around $cnd

We bought a life proof case for a new ** and we took the case off one day and the whole back of the phone was crackedWe called life proof and they do not back their products when they fail to do what they are advertised to do We paid $for a case that if the phone gets wet, or does break while in the case there is absolutely nothing they could do about it!

I bought one of their waterproof cases for *** *** My *** is my computer it never leaves the house I just wanted a case with water protection for times I watch videos while washing dishes, shaving or even taking a bath Problem is, the charge port is accessible by a small door that swivels open and the hard plastic the door clips on (to make it watertight) broke within a few months of babying the product
So I contact warranty claims only to be told: ''Sorry we do not make your product anymore you can go and buy one on *** out of your own money maybe?''

I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I just need to know how to get both the cases, mine and my daughters replaced.  I have attached a copy of the broken cases as well as the serial numbers.  My case is a FRE for [redacted] in black and hers is the NUUD for [redacted] in pink.  Please advise what I would need to do in order to warranty these cases.  Thank you so much

any damaged cases. The part that is limited is what we are able to cover under that warranty. It is limited to the products that we manufacture only, and cannot be extended to any products produced outside of Lifeproof. Since your device was not manufactured by us here at Lifeproof, we are unable to assist with a refund, reimbursement or replacement of the device. We do advertise our cases to water proof as we have passed industry standards for what constitutes water proof. Our cases are designed to be added protection, but we cannot guarantee that our product will 100% protect your device. There are simply too many variables as to why a case might leak that we cannot over the device. It is rare for a device, such as your son's [redacted], to be damaged while inside the box.
As I stated earlier, I am more than happy to replace your case free of charge under our Limited Product Warranty. I will simply need your case color and serial numbers located inside the case. As an alternative to the case replacement, I can offer a refund for the case itself if it was purchased within the last year. In order to offer this refund I will need a purchase receipt. This receipt must be itemized showing the date of purchase, place of purchase, product and product price. Once I get that receipt, I can move forward with a refund. This refund is a check refund, and will be made out to your information. While this doesn't replace the device itself, the money is yours and go towards the price of the new phone.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:If the case I purchased were not defective the phone screen would not have broke.  There is false advertisement of this item.  The packaging clearly says waterproof, dirt proof, snow proof and shockproof.  Packaging also states limited 1 yr warranty.  No where on the packing does it say that only the case is warranted.   I know many people with a life proof case and there phones have been protected.  Recently had someone lost phone in the snow it wasn't until 2 days later the phone was phone in perfect working order.  I know those who have had drops of the phone inside the case nothing wrong with the phone.,  I had this case 9 days and a 1 1/2 foot drop the screen cracks.  If the case is defective this is why the screen cracked therefore life proof should be responsible due to a defective product.Regards,[redacted]
