Otto Electric Company

The company did two jobs for me and both were faulty and required additional time/energy. This is obviously not a reliable/ethical electrician. During a new construction they didn't provide enough power to the HVAC which according to other electricians is a basic mistake made on behalf of Otto. They did come back out to resolve the problem. The second problem is regarding lack of disclosure on a bill. I was assessed a fee for Otto coming out to the property and them not being able to get into the rental property. the assessed fee was approximately 100 dollars for a 15 minute inconvenience. I would be OK with the charge, however Otto didn't disclose this amount until I went to pay final bill. I was the one asking why it was so expensive. the electrician was only onsite for 15-20 minutes. Ironically it was not fixed the first time. The renter sent me a text saying the issue was not resolved. Turns out it was never even an electrical issue it was related to the refrigerator. After waiting for approximately fifteen minutes, Mr. [redacted]'s wife did arrive but had the wrong key and we rescheduled for another time.On our 2nd trip, we were able to check the wiring going to the refrigerator and found that there was no problem with the electrical wiring. The clicking sound was coming from the refrigerator.We were called back to the job a second time that day (3rd trip) by Mr. [redacted] and was asked to change out the refrigerator receptacle, which we did to satisfy the customer.After replacing the receptacle, the refrigerator was still making the clicking noise. We again told the tenant that the problem was in the refrigerator.We billed Mr. [redacted] the appropriate amount reflecting three trips plus the material used. After Mr. [redacted] disputed the amount with our Office Manager (using very vulgar language), she agreed to discount the charges which Mr. [redacted] paid with a credit card.We are very sorry that we were unable to satisfy Mr. [redacted]'s problem with the refrigerator. We are an electrical company and do not work on appliances.As for the second job located at 4515 Sequoia, we did not do any work for Mr. [redacted] at this address. We did, however, do work at that address for one of our own regular builders, Paul Zanone. This job was a complete restoration. Mr. Zanone is one of our long time builders and was completely satisfied with our work. He is more than willing to testify to this and can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX.Due to the fact that Mr. [redacted]'s wife decided to make a detached building into an art studio which required electrical heat, we had to enlarge the wiring going to the building. The original wiring going to the building had been installed many years ago and not by Otto Electric Company, Inc.
