Review: I am an attorney who specialized in estate planning. I contracted with [redacted], the publisher of Our Golden Years Lifestyles Magazine to place an ad and article in the winter edition of the publication. During his sales pitch, he told me that I had a limited amount of time to decide and make the financial commitment. He induced me to enter into this agreement immediately. I entered into the contract and paid the purchase p[redacted] of $425 in December of 2013. The advertisement was supposed to go out in mid February 2014. After never hearing from [redacted] or the company again, I began to contact them in February to determine the status of the publication. After several weeks of waiting for a response, he finally advised me that the publication had been pushed back to mid March. So I waited until mid March to begin contacting him again. At this point, he told me that they were having publishing issues and would not put out the magazine until April 1st.At this time, he sent me a proof of the advertisement and article that was to be placed. The article was completely opposite of that which I had paid for and he was not happy to correct the issue. He told me that I would receive a copy of the magazine on the 1st. I have not heard from him nor have I received a copy of the magazine. I have been trying to email him and call him for the past 2.5 weeks. There have been no responses to my phone calls or emails. I am attempting to either get a copy of the publication that has been sent out or I want my money refunded. He and his company have breached several material terms of our agreement in addition to committing misrepresentation. Not only have I lost the initial investment, but I have lost out on the potential business that would have been coming in due to this advertisement. I want my money refunded to me immediately but cannot find any way to get him to respond to me.Desired Settlement: I purchased advertising in his publication for $425 on December 27th, 2013. I want this money returned to me.
