I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As already identified in the compliant. Lourdes did not advise that there would be a charge for meeting new doctor. If they had, I would not have agreed to such as visit. As I had just completed yearly physical 2 months earlier and would not have agreed to a doctor visit were I would be charged. Lourdes Office Manager agreed that they could have done a better job explaining. Office Manager offered next time there is a balance for patient to pay, said charge would be waived. Expect Lourdes to honor said agreement.Exception taken to response by Lourdes indicating all correspondences were addressed in a timely manner. Summary of events in compliant do not support their claim. At this time, the compliant still needs to be addressed to reach acceptable resolution.

investigation of the complaint identified the following findings:• 6/8/16- The patient was seen by the provider to establish as a new patient. A complete patient exam was performed and documented by the provider at the time of the office visit. Care provided to the patient was reviewed and deemed appropriate.• Services were provided to the patient and charges for those services were billed appropriately to his insurance.• Investigation of the patient's concerns by the Office Practice Manager including multiple followup phone conversations with the patient in regards to his concerns were completed timely. Explanations were provided to the patient relative to billing and the inability to waive fees due to compliance with current regulations. Although the patient stated that he understood the information, he disagrees with the final outcome. A letter will be sent to the patient as part of the process to achieve resolution of his concerns and includes our investigative findings. • In review of the patient's bill of $73.71 , the charges were incurred for laboratory services rendered to the patient. These charges cannot be applied to other services provided to the patient, and the bill will not be waived.The goal of Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital is to provide quality healthcare to our patients. We take a ll patient concerns seriously and welcome any opportunity for improvement. We will continue to work with the patient in an attempt to achieve resolution of his concern. As required by New York State Jaw, the patient if not satisfied with our reply may contact The Office of Health Systems Management as outlined in our grievance process.
