The same indicator lights that came on in January for repairs are the same indicator lights that came on April 3, The proper repairs should have been performed at that timeThe same identical indicator lights came on again, the alternator should have been checked also the first timeIn January the repairs made were parts pertaining to the alternator The price Ourisman Honda charged for the repairs in April was much higher than what was quoted from another Honda dealershipWe have paid an estimated $dollars in repairs and the vehicle was not properly repairedAs of today the engine indicator light came on again as we were driving homeThis happens after the alternator has been replaced on April 3, Today is April 23, We have not been serviced and treated properly as paying customersThis is terribleI would appreciate if your office would assist us in this matter promptlyWe will have to get repairs again for the same indicator lightNot acceptableI am rejecting this response and would like to be reimbursed for the repairs paid on April 3, Thank you for your help and timeSincerely,

Ourisman Honda apologizes for what the customer went through. The general manager and others tried to satisfy the consumer but to no avail. If [redacted] had not fallen ill I'm sure all would have gone well. We are concerned that our customer is upset with us and again, apologize.
[redacted]...

is still hospitalized but I assume he will make a personal apology when healthy.

While the same indicator light does come on, a different failure code and required repair occurred on each service visit. We have all of this documented and would be happy to share it with the customer. All of our repair work is warranted for 1 year /12,000 miles. The repairs performed on the vehicle are still within these parameters and we would be happy to check the vehicle to determine if the current "light on " status is related to any prior repairs that we performed.

The replacement of the alternator on April 3, 2015 is totally unrelated to the repairs performed in January 2015.  The prior check engine codes  were properly repaired and the vehicle has never returned for any issues related to those repairs.  The customer neglects to mention that...

the vehicles battery had been replaced by another repair shop prior to coming to Ourisman for the check engine light issues.  Perhaps the other repair shop could have tested the alternator to determine if there was an issue at that time. The vehicle has 134,000 miles on it and it is not unusual for different repairs being needed over a short period of time.
Ourisman Honda apologizes for any mistreatment that the customer feels happened but we will not reimburse the customer for the valid repairs to their vehicle.

Review: My used 2011 Honda CRV (VIN [redacted]) was purchased from Ourisman Honda in Bethesda on 3March, 2013 and picked up on 8March, 2013. Over the next few weeks (about 200 local miles, the car exhibited slight vibration when stopping, but Honda CRVs were sometimes described as having ‘road noise.’ I then drove the car to Ohio and back (about 750 miles), and the noise from the brakes worsened and made a loud scraping sound. So the car was not used for several weeks until I had time to make an appointment with the dealer. The service manager told me that it would cost about $500 to fix the brakes, and possibly more if the rotors and/or drums needed to be replaced. When I picked up the car the next day, I was charged $372, despite the fact the car was driven less than 1000 miles and not used very much since it was first purchased (see attached). I expected that the Maryland’s implied warranty would cover the brake issue, as the MD inspection report did not indicate a problem, yet Ourisman indicated there was a big problem with the brakes totaling $372. I requested that they cover this under the implied warranty, and they refused. I trusted the safety inspection report that was prepared by Ourisman to be accurate, and now had some concerns that there may be other problems. So I had an independent mechanic look over the car and he indicated that the rear tires were ‘bald’ and it failed his inspection. The Ourisman inspection report also failed all four tires, indicating all four tires were replaced, yet the rear tires were not replaced and failed when rechecked by the independent mechanic. I am seeking a total refund from Ourisman Honda of $672, including: 1) a full refund for the $372.07 I was charged for the brakes, which were unsafe and should have been properly repaired at the time of the sale; 2) the replacement cost for the two rear bald tires ($300, including labor, tax, disposal fee), as the Ourisman inspection report indicated they were replaced (the were not replaced). I do not want Ourisman to provide the tires as the brake work that I scheduled was not completed until the next day, requiring an additionl day off from work. And when I picked up my car, I found that one of the service people had used it to go shopping at Safeway (see attached). I find Ourisman service and repair to be unreliable. Both the faulty brakes and bald tires are significant safety issues and it appears that Ourisman Honda cut corners preparing my car for delivery. The car should not have been delivered in the condition it was provided. It was unsafe for me to drive, but is fully covered under the provisions of the Maryland implied warranty for used cars. There is also a big credibility/legal issue because Ourisman is preparing MD inspections for their cars and perhaps falsifying the reports.

Note that the Maryland implied warranty regulation trumps the Ourisman warranty.Desired Settlement: Payment for brake work charges that should have been fixed priort to the sale of the car. Payment for the 2 tires that should have been replaced and failed Ourisman's inspection plus an inspection by an independent mechanic. Both issues violate the Maryland implied warranty as the car was unsafe to drive prior to the sale. Plus, the safety inspection filled out my Ourisman indicated all 4 tires were replaced and they were not.

Business

Response:

Ourisman Honda will refund the customer, as a goodwill gesture, $327.07 for work relating to the brakes on the CRV.

We will NOT participate in tire replacement as the tires in question passed the required State Inspection. The wheels were missing lug nuts(which were replaced) and failed for that reason only.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: the two rear tires FAILED and were checked off as replaced (per the Ourisman inspection report at the time of sale). When the brakes were serviced at less than 1000 miles after purchase, the Ourisman inspection report again showed they FAILED and should be replaced. Finally, my independent mechanic review showed the tires FAILED and needed replacement. I will not accept the offer made by Ourisman and if they FAIL to reimburse me for the cost of the tires then I will take the matter to court where I can document all three failed reports. In addition, the car spent almost two weeks at Ourisman on two different occasions being repaired, so this was just another sloppy episode of servicing by Ourisman

Review: I visited the dealership on Sunday, October 12 with a specific car to purchase in mind. The website indicated they had that car. They did not, it was at their other business in [redacted] was closed on Sunday due to a county law? I said I would come back when they had the car in [redacted]. I was told that's not how it works. I would need to make a $500 deposit. They would trade cars with their other dealership, same owners -Ourisman. I am usually suspect to making even a deposit on an unseen product, but, I did.

There was an issue re payment, but I will not go into details here, only to say that since we assumed banks were closed on Monday, I would not be able to pick the car up until Tuesday. When I could not be there before dark on Tuesday, I somehow agreed to taking time from work on weds. Morning. Okay, left a credit card impression and a deposit. "I'll call you in the morning." The sales person said, to let you know when the car is here. Before I left, I asked again why I couldn't pick the car up on Monday. I got a song and dance about how he had to make sure they had the car, (really? He just took my deposit and wasn't sure if it was there?), how long it would take for them to pick up the car, Monday was going to be a busy day....somehow, I agreed. But, when I got home, I summoned up the courage to demand delivery by 3p. Salesperson was not there, I left a voice mail.

Come Monday morning, I got no call on the status of the car. Then I found out banks were open, so no problem with transferring the funds. I called the dealership starting at 1:00p and asked for the salesperson, I got his voice mail. I called back and asked for a manager. I was connected to another voice mail. I called back again and asked for a manager, not voice mail and got another salesperson. At this point, my patience was shot. I told him I wanted to speak to a manager to cancel my order. He told me they were busy due to the holiday and that my salesperson had "stepped out". He took my number.

The "manager" called back and of course tried to change my mind. He explained I didn't hear from the salesperson because he had an accident on his way to work. That struck me as odd, as his coworker stated he had stepped out. He then went on to tell me had had purchased the car with the understanding we had an agreement. That's different than the trade the salesperson told me about. I dug my heals in even more demanding a refund of my deposit. Then I was asked when I could come in to swipe my card for the refund. I stated I had refunds done without the card before, why did I need to come in?mOh, because he was hoping I would see the car and change my mind.

I suspect despite the inconvenience, my card will be refunded, but I will not do business there, despite its convenient location. I wanted this issue to go on record.Desired Settlement: credit to my card.

Review: I believe I was Financially Yo-Yo'ed by Ourisman Honda in [redacted] MD, To make a Long story short: I leased a car in Aug 2013 and was promised 15000 miles per year. Well they ([redacted]) called me back in to resign the contract a week or so later and rather than 15k miles per year they changed it to 12K and now [redacted] is saying that they do not know where the 15k came from. Stupid me signed the contract without noticing the difference until 3 later. I truly feel that this is unfair and I will be making a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I am also in the process of hiring a lawyer. All I am asking for is for my 15K miles back and I would be a satisfied customer.Desired Settlement: All I am asking for is for my 15K miles back and I would be a satisfied customer.

Business

Response:

Customer was offered, and accepted, an extended maintenance contract at no charge as compensation for the confusion during the lease contract negotiations.

11/5/13

Ourisman Honda did send me an extended warrantee for my lease but I did not

receive it until they received notice from the Revdex.com. I think that the warrantee

was just to keep me quite. I still think that people should be aware of this

organization. A good organization would have honored their mistake rather

than trying to cover it up by having me come in blindly and resigning a new

contract. Yes it is my mistake that I did not read the new contract as I guess

I trust people way more than I ever should. Either way Ourisman Honda should

man up and admit their mistake and take the loss and keep a customer happy.

Though I feel a little

better having the extended warrantee, I will NEVER be satisfied

unless I receive the deal that I was promised in the original contract.

Review: I purchased a used 2008 Honda [redacted] coupe in February, 2014. I was told the vehicle came with a 1,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for all issues. After approximately 300-500 miles the vehicle would occasionally generate a large turbine-type noise when braking. Concerned, I called Ourisman Honda and was told if I was comfortable with waiting I could have them investigate when I came in for the maintenance (after approx. 6k miles). As the location is inconvenient I agreed.

I grew concerned over the overall reliability of the vehicle and called back a few days later and added the extended warranty. I inquired if this brake concern would be covered and was told it would be, it's obviously not the brake pads, which is a wear and tear item. (Which sounded right to me).

Unfortunately, when I brought the vehicle in for service the story was different. They said the rear caliper had seized and needed to be replaced, and MIGHT be covered under the extended warranty I purchased. And there was damage to the front rotors which is not covered. I explained I was told the original warranty would cover this since I reported it before the expiration, but to no avail. I since spoke with the Service Director, Used Car Manager, and Car Sales Manager- all of whom blew me off and would not follow through with their promise to cover such issues.

Obviously they should cover what they say they will, and should not sell a vehicle with faulty brakes. Also- in all but one occasion the contacts mentioned prior took multiple days to return contact or did not return calls at all, which is very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I expect they take care of all the braking issues, at their expense. I should not even have to pay a deductible.

To clarify, both front rotors should be replaced, as well as the rear calipers.

Review: I bought my Honda in at [redacted] Honda of Virginia, but I live in Maryland. [redacted] sent a coupon for an oil change for my 2012 Honda CRV for a price of $34.95. I called Ourisman Honda and spoke to [redacted] in the service department and explained that I bought the car at [redacted], that this was my first oil change of my 2012 CRV and [redacted] sent a coupon to get the oil changed for $34.95. I asked him if Oursiman would honor the coupon--he said that they would. When I got to the service department I added the coupon to the service representative and explained this--the service represntative was quick to point out that the coupon did not include taxes and discharge fees and said that this would add about $5--I agreed to this. Then he asked what type of car I had and when I told him that my 2012 CRV took synethic oil the price would be approximately $49.95. I would not agree to this. I left the shop and wasted my lunch hour.

[redacted] should not have made a contract that he could not keep.Desired Settlement: Ourisman Executives should be educated about fair business practices and should be required to provide an education session to the Ourisman staff.

This complaint should be posted on the Revdex.com website to warn other potential customers not to trust what is orally promised to them. I went out of my way to make sure that Ourisman would honor the coupon by calling Ourisman before I took the time to go there--I did not get what was promised me on the phone.

When I called to complain about this. I was sent to the voicemail of someone who was on vacation and out of the office. I do not think that Ourisman took my complaint seriously.

Business

Response:

We have apologized to the customer. We will honor the customers coupon. We are sorry to have put the customer through this ordeal.
