We are happy to address some of these issues, but unfortunately we are handicapped in that we cannot discuss the details of Ms***'s case due to Attorney client privilegesAs to her concerns over the fee's paid to this office we charged a $consultation fee, this information is provided at the time the appointment is madeIf the potential client chooses to retain our firm AND the retainer is paid in full the SAME day of the consultation then the consultation fee is applied to the retainerHowever, if we are not retained the SAME day as the consult then these are two separate fee'sThe retainer charged is not an estimate but the minimum retainer charge at that time for a disputed family court caseWe charge by the hour, all of which is well explained in the fee agreement each client signsMs [redacted] signed the agreement and has a copy of itBecause of attorney client privileges I am not now attaching it but will if she writes back expressing that she would like me to send that document to youWe billed according to itWhen a case is filed there is no way to know at that time how it is going to develop, how contested it will be, what obstacles or issues will occur, etcThere is no way to make an estimate of the fee or the results at the beginningWe are sorry that this is now an issue for her as we greatly enjoyed working with her.?
