December 15, 2014In a response to a letter received 12/15/in reference to a complaint filed on 12/5/by *** ***Customers *** & *** *** were referred by *** *** to look at Cultured Veneer StoneCustomers came into facility 11/22/took home samples
based on their choice to look at in their home*** *** called Monday 11/24/to place order based on their choice Style-Southern Ledge stone, Color-Hudson Bay sqftItem was ordered and brought into our facility for customer pion 11/26/The following week *** *** called 1st stating that the color was not correctThey were asked if they could bring in some pieces to look at color and see if there was a problem with colorCustomer came in on 12/3/and brought both boxes of product with himAt this time, customer stated it was not like the sample board size or color (sample board has a disclaimer which we've enclosed: the number of stones displayed does not allow a complete representation of all sizes, shapes and colors for individual products)While customer was here it was then stated size was an issue this is not what they wanted and may just go in a different direction for their fireplace (customer was made aware that product could be returned/exchanged if defective, but product is not defective.) Customer was told that an exchange could be made for the unwanted product at a 50% restocking fee for this transaction that is the charge that was going to be passed onto us to exchange the product for another Cultured Veneer Stone productCustomer took a brochure for another Cultured Veneer Stone product called *** Stone product to see if possibly they may like this better and exchange the initial product for the *** stone that would not require grout and the pieces would sit closer togetherApproximately a day or so later customer stated they did not want to go with the other product offered for exchange they only wanted a full refundAt this time it was again stated a full refund could not be made but a return at 50% restocking fee could be madeCustomer stated that was unacceptableWe areunable to return a product to supplier we could only exchange the item they no longer wanted for a new item.*** *** ended the call and *** *** then called back stating it had nothing to do with size or color that the veneerstone they received was not pleasing to look at it looked like stone found in a cabin or mountain home, very rough not polishedUnfortunately, cultured veneer stone is made to look like a natural rough stone it is not a polished stoneOur goal is to help the customer find resolution and feel options were offered, although not acceptable to customerSincerely,

In regards to the [redacted] complaint, we were able to return their item to the manufacturer and we mailed them a full refund for their product.

I was finally able to download the response from Outdoor Landscape Supply and I completely disagree with  the statement that we were not unhappy with  the size and color of the  stone.  The size and color of  the stone is exactly what we are unhappy with. The color, size and texture of  the stone received was not as the display stone that was shown to us before  purchase.
