I am rejecting this response because: The Business should be aware that if a patient is attached to [redacted] , a managed health care plan in the county of Sacramento, that patient has [redacted] ***As a [redacted] member under title a patient under any circumstances is not supposed to be billedI have already spoken to The State of California [redacted] billing department, I show I had coverage at that time, also, It is up to the [redacted] center in this case OPA to verify through [redacted] what insurance plan the patient hasOPA un lawfully charged me without doing through research to show I have [redacted] *** [redacted] has already confirmed that this is on the OPA faultI need my credit report expungedOutside of the ***l placed on Friday May 26, 2016, I had never heard of them, the officer makes it seem like they ***led me back in and that did not happenGo onto yelp and there you will find a review of someone who was also un-lawfully billed[redacted]

When the patient’s specimen was received from the physician office in June of 2012, we were advised that the patient had *** *** *** was billed, they paid and then in January they requested the monies be returned to them as an incorrect payment. They advised that the
patient had ***/***-***. On that date, we advised the patient that she needed to send us a copy of her *** Card and/or ***-*** cardOn April 26, the account was turned over to collections as we had no response to our correspondence from her. If can proof to us that she had ***-*** at the time of service, we will notify the collection agency to please remove her from collection. *** ***Outpatient Pathology

As a [redacted] member under title 22 a patient under any circumstances is not supposed to be billed. I have already spoken to The State of California [redacted] billing department, I show I had coverage at that time, also, It is up to the [redacted] center in this case OPA to verify through [redacted] what insurance plan the patient has. OPA un lawfully charged me without doing through research to show I have [redacted] has already confirmed that this is on the OPA fault. I need my credit report expunged. Outside of the [redacted]l placed on Friday May 26, 2016, I had never heard of them, the officer makes it seem like they [redacted]led me back in 2012 and that did not happen. Go onto yelp and there you will find a review of someone who was also un-lawfully billed.[redacted]

With reference to the patient’s response, we submit additional information.  When we received her specimen from the doctors office, they said she had [redacted].  We billed out [redacted].  They original paid for the services and then at a later date they requested the money back.  We refunded the money to [redacted].  After the refund, we sent bills to the patient on January 24th, 2013 and February 25th and March 27th asking the patient to send us her [redacted]care card as [redacted] advised us that the patient had [redacted]care.  The statements were never returned to us by the Post Office.  After no response to our billings requests this patient was turned over to collection in April.   It is the responsibility of the patient to advise any doctor/laboratory of their current insurance coverage as we have no idea of what insurance coverage the patient has if the claim is rejected by the insurance carrier we billed as was supplied to us by the referring physician.   We cannot look up a person on the [redacted]care or [redacted]-cal website without an ID number.
