I have researched your charter and per our records we do see that you had a hour fishing charter in June and that time of year and the length of your charter indicates the trip was targeting cobia- a fun fish to catch during the early summer months and arguably the most targeted fish when it is in seasonWhen fishing for cobia it is typically found around the reefs in our area that are about to miles from shore and it is also the type of fishing where there can be lots of sitting and waiting Boats are anchored at the reef and lines are casted out and placed in rod holders until a fish is on We do apologize to you if this was not clearly communicated to you at the start of the tripAs novice fishermen this type of fishing can be hot and monotonous and can offer great victory or sometimes can have an uneventful outcome We do strive to offer the best experience on the water and we are sorry if we did not meet your standards or needs
As such I would like to offer a raincheck for the amount of the program ($645.00)As we strive to exceed our customers expectations I think based on your feedback that you would enjoy one of our inshore charters that we feature during the spring and fall These trips target redfish, spotted sea trout and sheepshead and we use light tackle spinning rods and a cast and retrieve style of fishing that is more activeThat rain check is not just usable for fishingYou can use it for any of the programs that we offer from any of our locations.Please see our website for a complete list of offerings at: http://www.outsidehiltonhead.com
In regards to the fishing pole, it is not our company policy to ask to replace equipment And there is no insurance for fishing tackle to cover this type of loss It is the responsibility of the captains to maintain their equipment and I have spoken with the captain in regards to thisIt seems it was a suggestion by him and not a demand but regardless I would like to reimburse you for the cost of the rodPlease communicate with me directly at my email [redacted] or on my cell phone at ###-###-#### to receive that reimbursement
