Outside the Box Installs, Inc.

Review: I hired [redacted] from Outside the Box Installs, Inc. to hook up my brand new receiver to my TV and program my remote. He charged me $435.00 and was at my house approximately 3 hours. He ran a Cat 5 cable in my attic to my TV. He hooked up the receiver and programmed my Harmony One remote. It worked for about 2 weeks. Then it stopped working all together. I signed paperwork that guaranteed the work as well as parts for a year. I made about 10 phone calls and texts asking him to please come fix the TV. He finally came over about 3 weeks later. He pulled the Balun box out from behind my TV and stated that he needed to get a "better box". This was the brand new box he just installed. He stated that he would check around and find a new one as well as speakers and come back to fix everything. I have been without a working TV now for almost 2 months. I made several calls and texts to ask him to come fix the TV as promised. He has ignored every call. One of my friends called him to do a job (not mine) and he was called back right away. At that point I knew he was clearly dodging me. I have had 3 people in my attic to see if they could figure out what is wrong, and they ALL said he put in a bad cable. Of course they want to be paid to fix it. I don't feel I should pay someone else to fix something that I have already paid for as well as the parts. This work was supposed to be "guaranteed". I sent [redacted] one last text yesterday making him aware that I was reporting him and he answered me right away. He tried to say my equipment is bad and made a million excuses as to why he was avoiding me. "Im a single parent""You need a lot of work done""Your equipment is bad"It's ALL bull!!! He is blatantly avoiding fixing the TV or reimbursing me for what he couldn't fix. My equipment is all new and there is NOTHING wrong with it. He is just making nothing but excuses!!Desired Settlement: I do not want him back in my house. I do not think he is reliable and I don't think he knows what he he is doing. I want my money back so I can pay a REAL professional who knows what they are doing to fix my TV. I am single and getting ready to have a baby in 7 weeks. I don't need this added stress in my life. Watching TV stuck in my bedroom for the last 3 months depressing and uncalled for!
