Back in March of 2015, I purchased an internal gear for Overhead doorThe part was $29; double the cost of an equivalent online partI needed it right away so I purchased it Recently, the part failedI knew the part wasn't under warrantyI thought maybe the dealer would offer to replace it at his cost and not the full amountAnyway, I called and spoke to a lady on the phone; nice ladyI asked her if they had the part in-stockShe said that they did have it but they no longer sold to the general publicShe told me that I could buy it onlineI explained to her that I was replacing a part that I had bought from them less than a year ago and was wondering if they could make an exception in this case and sell me the part at their costShe put me on hold while she spoke to someone in the part departmentShe came back and told me that they would sell me the part...but for $ Maybe it's just me, but that's just sorryBy the way, the lady was correctI was able to get the part online for $
