They charged me for the entire job before install started. They never picked up the *** despite it being part of the cost of the job. They never filled the dozens of *** despite saying they’d be back the next day to do it. They didn’t clean up a single piece of trash from the job site. They rescheduled my install 3 times due to not having *** yet. When they finally came for the install on April 9th they forgot the new *** so they had to come back the next day. ***

The installer left my house on April 10th saying he’d be back first thing in the morning. It’s been 3.5 weeks and our *** despite a dozen phone calls trying to get them to pick it up. The first time we called they said it would get picked up by the end of the week, but nobody came. The next time they said it would get picked up by end of day, but nobody came. Now when we call we get a simple “we’ll check on it” and NEVER get a call back. *** charging me for a job and then not finishing without any communication is unacceptable.

The worker was prompt and capable. I just don't know if I got ripped off because the cost was exorbitant for the little amount of time it took. He charged $175 for the service, $175 for the spring, and $100 for new little plastic rollers to make the door go up/down easier and quieter. I looked online at the cost of the spring. It said it should cost about $60. The rollers looked cheap. The whole thing was done within 30 min or less. I think it was probably a lot more expensive than I had to pay. We just took the first company that answered our Angie's list plea. We quickly had 5 calls of people to do the job, but we took the first one. As a consumer, it is so hard to know!

On September 4th, I searched for a garage repair service using *** and found this company which I soon thereafter hired to do work. It's been about 2 months now and the simple job of replacing my old motors, lights, and pads is still not complete. Furthermore, dealing with anyone at this business has been a complete and utter exercise in futility as it's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone and when you finally do the lack of care and respect for the project/issue is astounding. I've never had such an experience in my life with any type of business/vendor. I work in and own my own businesses in *** so I've dealt with them all and recognize the lay of the land for that world but this is far and beyond anything and is just downright insincerity and/or incompetence. I paid over $3k to have the pleasure of dealing with the daily frustration of over 2 months of unfinished work, countless rescheduled appointments, no show appointments, no notice/call when missed, no follow up or follow through on concerns/complaints made to various employees, no call backs, no respect or concern for my time or money spent. I am furious beyond belief at the way they've treated me and in the way they've misrepresented themselves as service professionals.

Absolute Disgrace. More unprofessional than any company I've ever worked with. Never call this company to do work*** I had appointments 2 days in a row, left work early, and they didn't show up or call EITHER day. Even after I called them, they said "you are next, someone will be there shortly." Still no one showed up or called. To top it off, someone from their office called me and asked me to pay for services rendered! I honestly felt like they were playing a practical joke on me. There are 100 local garage door companies. You'd be crazy to call Overhead Service Solutions. I called another company yesterday that came and resolved my problem. Professionally.

After installing a new motor for my garage door 11 mos. ago, we had our first power outage. I tried to pull the manual release cord which wouldn't work. I had no car for 2 days. After power came back I discovered there was a knot in the cord close to the door! When I called this company, I was told that the installer wasn't supposed to have installed the manual release cord in the first place. Since he did, but never tested it at the time, I didn’t realize it was not done correctly. I asked would they come and fix? After waiting until 8:30 pm someone showed up and refused to redo it, repeating over and over that it had not been part of the deal even their guy did do it (and wrong!) initially. Instead, he tried to upsell me a wired cord for $150! I'm afraid to climb a tall ladder so will have to pay someone else to repair.
Don't use this unprofessional company!

Our company had a great relationship with this customer. We installed a garage door opener which still works without error. This is what was paid for. The customer had a hole in her garage door with a string coming out of it with the other end attached to the old motor. The technicians reattached the string to the new opener. The set up was left as it was. The customer called almost a year later stating our technicians created the rope and attached it incorrectly and made her unable to disengage the motor manually when the power went out since her garage isn’t attached to the home. There is also no other door to enter the garage. Our company explained that we did not change the existing set up for manual entry. We offered to have a technician come out, at no additional charge, to see what he was able to do for her. When he arrived, it was recommended that we install a professional vault release. The customer was going to be charged for the parts and the labor which was to also include a warranty. She did not want to pay anything additional however for safety and ethical reasons, we were against creating a “rigged” safety mechanism that would be associated with work by our company.

The original cord worked as it should have before the new motor was installed. I know this because I'd had to use it 3 times previously. This time it was obviously repositioned incorrectly. No one mentioned not wanting to install anything which was "rigged" as the company now claims. The installer never mentioned that I would need to supply a new cord, nor that this wasn't part of the install price. No one ever mentioned this manual cord not being part of the install. If they had, I would have purchased a new cord and paid someone else to fasten it correctly. But the fact that they did install the old one, and didn't test it, left me in a lurch without being able to access my car during a 2 day power outage. I consider this irresponsible.

Had them come fix a garage door opener, which they installed in June. We do not use the garage door very often but a few months later, attempted to open door and found it didn’t work. Called them to come out and look at it again in October since it was still under warranty. They charged us a service fee but did not fix anything, said to have electrician come out, which we did. Have called them since then to get garage door opener looked at. They have made numerous appointments times which they do not show up for and do not call. It is now, January and they stil have not fixed our garage door that we paid for.
