Dear [redacted] ,Everything that we promised to fix was fixedSome of the parts we did have to order because we are not a parts storeAbout three of the parts took 3-business days to come in.However, we had made arrangements to pick up her car, so that it wasn't bothersome to herThe Very first day she had it, the next morning she called complaining that her car wouldn’t startWe told her no worries, we will pick it up and check it out for herWhen we go to pick up the car, we jump it and it startedWe bring it back to the car lot/garage the guys found out that Heather or someone that was in the car with her had left lights on inside, which killed her batteryBut she didn't believe that lights were left on and denied it so we bought a new battery for herWe did nothing wrong yet fixed the problem. The last thing we were fixing is, she said it leaked inside the vehicle, whenever it rainedSo we picked her car up at her work and brought it back to the shopWe then spent hours looking and diagnosing the issueAfter finding out what the issue was after tearing the vehicle apart, we called her because it was getting close to the time she needed the vehicle backWe then told her it would take about an hour or so to fix, we also offered her a ride to take her wherever she needed to go because we knew she had kids and plansAnd she was upset and saying that we had the car all day and it should be fixed , she said she paid all this money to get her car, that she wanted to have her car back now! So we then stopped everything that we were doing, put her car back together and brought it back to her.We did everything we promised to fix and was done after that last thing, we went above and beyond by paying off her SUV that she was trading in, for her so that she could get the title to it, to do the deal for the Dodge Journey, picking her car up at her place of work and dropping it off to her, instead of asking her to drop off and find a ride to work or getting a ride to pick it up when it was doneBut she was more putting us down after ever without a vehicle[redacted] had her Mother and Father whom we never met nor spoke to left nasty reviews about our business and myself, which in the end lost us salesHer Mother also went to our Fan Page, and left unnecessary comments under pictures that we post of our other customers and their new vehiclesAfter all that [redacted] called asking us to pick her vehicle up to fix the leakI then explained, she is on her ownWe did everything we could on our part and yet she said things about our company that weren't trueI will not help someone who is bad mouthing our companyShe has a Warranty so in the meantime she could have went anywhere to get things fixedSo she ended up taking it somewhere else, I will not pay another shop to fix things because different shops will find things to replace, to make moneyAlso, I never heard anything about the axle being broken, in fact, myself and another employee drove the car for about a week or so before it sold and never heard any type of noise and you'd definitely hear and feel if the axle is broken.Plus the inspection mechanic that inspected the Journey has been doing what he does for over yearsHe is overly thorough, which is what I preferSo that's why we take it to the shop to inspect all of our vehiclesI feel we do more than any other dealership around would doMy suggestion is that she takes it to court because I don't feel that we will come to any agreementLastly, I'd like to add that the day she purchased the vehicle, she didn't have money to buy a warrantySo we threw one in from AULThe company is amazing and covers the things she said she paid out of pocket.Thank you for hearing me out,

We at Overland Auto Saies on *** *** *** *** *** *** had a lot of time and effort into helping *** *** and her husband purchase a vehicleThey gave us a drivers license which we have copies on fileNeither one of the customers had a valid drivers license and when we found that
*** had no drivers license we tried to obtain financing in Just the husbands name, in which he had no license eitherUnfortunately the banks we use to obtain financing require drivers licenses to purchase a vehicle and we could not help them as much as we wanted to help themWe also could not put a vehicle in some other persons name knowing they would be driving the car and making payments on the vehicle.Sorry we were not able to help but we had no other way to finance a vehicle for them. Thanks

I recently purchased a truck from Overland.
Dealing with Mike was a positive experience when compared to the larger dealers.
There was no pressure, laid back, and no games.
What possessed me to write this review at all, was my experience AFTER buying the truck.
I had a few minor issues after the "As Is" purchase and with no questions asked everything was resolved within a couple days.
It only took that long because they had to order a part.
In addition to a quick resolution, he had the truck picked up and returned to my workplace so there was no inconvenience to myself.
To survive in business the most important rule is keeping the customer first.
I feel strongly that Mike understands that and I highly recommend keeping Overland in mind when searching for your next vehicle.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. **See attached response**

Regards,
[redacted]I am in complete disagreement to the response from Overland Auto Sales. The very first day I had the vehicle it was overheating and I barely made it home. After shutting it off it would not start. The inside lights were not left on causing the battery to go dead, there was a warning light on for the electronic throttle sensor and that is what caused the battery to go dead. There was never a new battery installed  as per my mechanic from the Chrysler dealer stated it was the original batteryThere is the issue of the leak inside on the passenger side and it did not leak when it rained, it leaked all the time while driving the vehicle. They picked up my vehicle for repairs at 9am  and I stated to them that I was done from work at 5:30 and needed to pick up my children from daycare by 6pm and that I needed to either have my vehicle done by 5:30 or another means of transportation provided until the repairs were done. I was told that wouldn’t be a problem.I only had the vehicle a few days when all this happened and I don’t feel I should be inconvenience by having to drop my vehicle off and find a ride to work after spending $9000.00 on a vehicle that I was told by the dealership was in excellent condition.I did not have my parents leave nasty reviews. My mother was upset over the treatment I was receiving from the dealership as they were very rude and nasty about having to make the repairs and was told by the owner “ it’s not like you bought a 2015 vehicle” and yes she did leave negative, but a truthful review so that others would be aware of the potential treatment in dealing with this business. Furthermore, the negative reviews were left well after I was told that I was on my own and that Overland Auto Sales would no long do any work to my vehicle unless I paid for said repairs myself. Isn’t that what reviews are all about? As far as my father leaving nasty reviews, he did not have any knowledge at that time that I was having any issues with the dealership, and would have no reason to leave anything, as far as a review. As far as them going ‘above and beyond by paying off my SUV that was being traded in’ Isn’t that how it usually works? When you are trading in a vehicle and buying another one, the dealership pays off your trade-in and adds that amount to the loan? In this case they had ME pay off the loan on the trade in and in turn reimbursed me the money by form of a check. Also I got a call from the lending institution wanting to verify the purchase of the Dodge Journey and I stated to them that I did not have it in my possession yet as I was picking it up in a couple days. I was advised to call them once I had the vehicle in my possession. When I talked to the owner at the Dealership he was upset with me and said that I refused to verify the information to the lending institution and therefore would hold up the funds being issued to him. I told him that I didn’t refuse, I simply stated to them that I didn’t have the vehicle in my possession. He seemed to be quiet upset with me.As far as the unnecessary comments left on their facebook fan page, my mother did in fact leave negative comments, again, as to enlighten the public as to what kind of treatment I got from this dealership. She exercised her right to freedom of speech. They in turn deleted the comments and then blocked her.As to the issue with the axle, I made mention to the dealership that it was making a noise in the front passenger side and that is when they told me that “there is no pleasing you” and refused to do any further work unless I paid for it myself. The noise got louder and then while on my way home from work it made a loud noise and quit running. I had to have it towed to a Chrysler Dealer to have them look it over and see what was wrong with it. I was told by a certified Chrysler mechanic that the front axle was cracked and also the transfer case was cracked due to having mismatched tires on the front. I was given a copy of their finding for proof. Also it was stated to me, by the mechanic, that this vehicle should have never passed a Pa. inspection. So I find it hard to believe that the inspection station that Overland claims is ‘overly thorough’. And as far as them “doing more than any other dealership around” I feel I was treated very rudely and there was no call for it, I bought a vehicle from them assuming that for $9000.00 it would run for more than a day and I should not have had this many problems with it had it been gone over before selling it to meAs far as the warranty, I asked them about it, as I was interested in purchasing an extended warranty, and was told that it isn’t worth the money and that they would give me a warranty from AUL that was free for 3 months but they failed to tell me that the limit of repairs has a cap of $1500.00. I was under the impression that all dealerships offer a 30 day/ 3000 mile warranty with all their vehicles sold unless it is stated beforehand that it is sold ‘as is’ which wasn’t the case with the vehicle that I purchased.I sent the owner of the dealership a certified letter stating all the repairs that had been made to make the vehicle safe to drive and the repairs due to negligence of the dealership. I requested a reply back within 10 days to let me know what his intentions were in getting this resolved. I received a private message from him on my facebook account telling me to “take me to court’. I felt that, as a business owner, the way he chose to respond was not only unethical, but not the way I would think a business owner would respond to a certified letter. Thank you for any consideration in helping me resolve this issue

Review: Upon buying the car from Overland Auto they asked for the title to the car I was trading in, and $1000 I was putting down.

The day I drove off with the car was the same day they acknowledged that they sold me a car with an outdated inspection that needed work.

They agreed to finish the work saying that I had 10 days before I would be breaking the law by driving a car with an outdated inspection. As they said they would have their mechanic contact me but he never did.

A week after getting the car, the emergency break light came on. I drove it to the nearest mechanic who took a look at it , added some break fluid and advised me to follow up with the dealership I got it from .

They then contacted me saying they needed to put a gps system within the car –this was well after the 10 day grace period I had regarding the inspection. Adam at overland agreed that they would do the work they agreed to do and that they would take a look at the break light to make things right while they were putting the gps in the car.

The next day they had their mechanic come to my job to pick up my car, when I had asked him about the repairs they were going to do on the car, he said he knew nothing about coming to repair the car. So I told him that He could get the car when they were going to do exactly what they agreed to do in its entirety especially considering by now , I’m currently driving a car that I could get ticketed about considering the inspection and the break light was still on.

That same night Mike called me and threatened to call the police if I didn’t let him take my car to put the gps on it, Please keep in mind I should’ve gotten the car on the 20th of May but didn’t because he said he was pre-inspecting and placing the gps on my car then. Now he threatened me so for the sake of peace and the fact that I didn’t know my rights within the situation I let him take the car.

When he took the car he ended up giving it back the next day, which due to the time, made it to where I had to miss work. Upon returning the car, I noticed he still hadn’t don’t any of the work he agreed to do, the inspection was still invalid even though and the break light was still on.

I called [redacted] many times trying to get them to help as they just paid for a car that isn’t working properly but they still expected me to pay $337 each month. I asked for my car back via Mike at overland, and he said to me that I couldn’t get my money back, and that I couldn’t get my trade in back as it was his plan to sell it. Then he hung up.

I called [redacted] and left them a message confirming what was said, and they did nothing. They didn’t even return my call.

Fast forward to 8/17/ I made a late payment of $140 – the money was available to them 8/12 but due to them not allowing me to make a payment online, refusing to take my information, and everytime I call im put on unreasonable wait periods I wasn’t able to make the payment until they contacted me on 8/17

10 days before making that payment I called [redacted] explaining them that Im a single mother, I had some unforeseen events happening but that I would like to make a payment arrangement and have all further payments pulled directly out of my bank account the rep [redacted] was very rude, and condescending so I asked to speak with his supervisor, when he refused to give me her number and saw that I was refusing to discuss things with him any further he hung up.

They took my payment on 8/17 and as per the Rep today they also sold the contract to my car back to Overland Auto within Erie,pa on the same day. Without my knowledge. They even allowed [redacted] the other person on the loan, to change the payment due date to the 1st. Fast forward to This week. Sunday 8/28 I tried to drive to grove city to grab a few last minute school items for my children but got stuck on the highway the jeeps transmission overheated , the headlights fuse was messed up and yes, sadly by august the car still needed to be inspected and fixed by overland. We called Mike at Overland on 8/29 he agreed that he would look at the car and do the repairs to the car as he initially agreed. Then a hour later he calls [redacted] down to tell him the car was repossessed 3 weeks ago. So all of my belongings were taken out of the car and I was pretty much being told I have no car and no one told me. Then he asked us to sign a power of attorney paper. In essence he tricked us into bringing the car down thinking he was going to finally do right and fix it but that wasn’t the case at all.

Today 8/31st when calling western funding they said my car was never repossessed, as per [redacted] – Supervisor, they let the car company buy back my car/contract and then they took my payment the same day and said nothing about it. According to [redacted] I have no rights to anything.

And according to overland, Them taking my $1,000 , My trade in car worth $4,5000 and then taking back the jeep for exactly how much he initially got it for. Was entirely legal. So from 8/17 I made a payment and drove around in a car that wasn’t legally owned by me and no one gave me any knowledge of that. Now I have nothing but a demanding job that requires me to travel and use my vehicle ---but I have no vehicle and 3 children depending on me.Desired Settlement: I want my money and the value of my car back, since when I asked months ago Mike at overland refused to give me my car back and infant told me he was going to sell my car when I spoke about how unsatisfactory the service was due to broken promises and selling me a car / allowing me to drive a car that has serious issues, then hung up.

Review: Purchased a used vehicle through said dealer and two cylinders were misfiring in the engine (which I had to fix), and a leaking timing chain cover, gaskets and water pump, bypass hose. The dealer said they would not help with the repairs. The vehicle was not under any warranty but still the vehicle broke down within a 30 day time frame (happened on the 17th day). Note: vehicle history was not given to me (buyer) verbally or physically. When purchased was told vehicle ran fine when in fact it did not.Desired Settlement: Refund me for the repairs and pay to have the vehicle properly put through a safety inspections and pay for any repairs if needed.
