Spoke with a supervisor back in November to get payment deferred because I just started a new job so that the payment that I was making the following week would b for the next payment that was due and so forth so I would be a head and risk getting my vehicle turned off come to find out he had stated that I was making a double payment if I couldn’t make 1 payment how was I going to make two? So my vehicle was disabled on Saturday morning when I called to talk to Ivan he will not answer my call not only did I get fired for not coming in I’ve tried since 9 am this morning to get in touch with the supposedly supervisor oven it is now 620 pm and still no response and all the supposedly service reps say it’s not thier problem try after the holidays yes I am sure if I was offering money they would have time to talk to me it’s pretty sad how the employees what kind of company they are working for taking advantage of us customers. I’ve made all my payments for over a year but yet they can’t even give the common curtesy of at least talking like a professional over the phone

I'm sorry you've had a bad experiencing with our representatives. We do not offer deferments due to job change however, I see your car is on and you have a promise to pay for 1/3/2020. If you need further assistance with modifying your loan, please send in two checks stubs so we can update your account and send you a due date change form to match up your car payment due date with the date you get paid. Your check stubs can be emailed to [email protected]

I’ve made payments on time with a current account I asked for an extension of 3 to four days because I am no longer employed and do day by day work. The clerk Juan not only told me no managers were available but lied that the company doesn’t do extensions even though I’ve had two and made those payments on the day that I promised. Now I have no way to get to work and no way to make my weekly payment of 112.50. The man Juan clearly lied about not giving extensions and at the time of purchase I was never told of a kill switch. I also asked for a copy of the contract that I have yet to recieve. Seriously thinking of pursuing legal action.

First and foremost, thank you for reaching out to us via Revdex.com. We appreciate your feedback and will address your concerns. Managers are usually available but it could have been bad timing when you called, we apologize for that. Yes, the vehicle does have a kill switch in the event there's a contractual default such as missed payments, lack of full-coverage insurance, etc.. This was disclosed to you and your cosigner at the time of purchase. We understand "life happens" and sometimes we need assistance. In your case, we can provide assistance to hold your account from collection actions if you can provide proof of your hardship. Overland Bond has a team dedicated to providing such assistance to customers going through rough times. In your case, if your check was short, you lost your job, etc.. you can always call us and speak to one of our professional account managers and let them know what's going on and they will ask you to provide evidence of such hardship and devise a payment plan based on your individual hardship. We do not offer extensions so Juan did not lie to you. We offer "holds" on account, meaning, we will hold your account for the payment but not extend the payment out to the end of your loan. That would be considered a payment deferment. I notice your full-coverage insurance was terminated on 4/2/2019 and we've been asking every month for that, too. The insurance is mandatory on all vehicles financed by Overland Bond. To assist you further, please send evidence of your hardship along with your proof of full-coverage insurance as outlined in your retail installment contract and we will gladly open up a hardship claim for you and the hardship department will reach out to you to assist. Due to the holiday week, we do not have the support staff to expedite your document request (contract, kill switch disclosure) but if you call us on Friday, November 29, 2019, we will gladly prepare the request and email it you so you can the kill switch was disclosed to via a "GPS Consent Form" along with a copy of your retail installment contract outlining the insurance stipulation. Meanwhile, please forward proof of your hardship to [email protected]

I have a 2016 *** and the transmission is going out on the car. Me and my parents were never offered an extended warranty on the car and by the car being so new the transmission is really expensive. We’ve tried to get our loan refinanced so we could get the car repaired, they denied us. We applied for a hardship and they denied us. So not only do they want us to pay $3300 for a new transmission but they expect us to keep up with the car note as well. They are no help, unprofessional and a scam. I also gave them 2 other customers and they still don’t want to help us. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone else

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your vehicle. Our company didn't sell you the car, we only provided financing. Please contact the dealership where you purchased the vehicle for further assistance.

The only reason I they are even getting this score is because I can't go lower. This company does not keep good records of payment history. I paid for both September and October in full and they are not giving me the credits for the payments. This company is trying to steal money from the people that keep them in business. On top of that, managers like Laura if that is her real name, is very rude and unprofessional. She doesn't let anyone speak, while trying to cover up her mistakes she confused herself and still wouldn't let me talk. She hung up the phone twice. I am warning all buyers to beware of this company. Not professional or friendly. If I did not ask, she would have let me believe a payment was covered that wasn't. I am demanding to speak with upper management.

The customer came into the office and spoke with me personally and we resolved all outstanding issues. Due to his cosigners bankruptcy, we are unable to speak to him about the account however, I took the time to explain where the payment was missed and he agreed and said he would remove this negative review from the Revdex.com.

I received a notice of revocation of garnishment early July, your company is still taking payments from me via my pay check. I called Friday, the Customer service rep hung up in my face and refused to explain to me why I'm getting garnished, after the account has been closed. She refused to explain my account details and why I wasn't legally informed of this garnishment. She simply said well I cant help you, you don't want the number oh well and disconnected. I called back someone must've screened the call and immediately transferred me over to a Law firm called *** law and they said they don't have any information on my case. Now, I'm getting illegally garnished without notice and overland bonds received my letter to stop payments yet still sent my information to a third party after the closed the account. I have a similar complaint on their *** reviews, regarding the blatant disrespect and Intolerable behavior of people. Close this business it's unacceptable. My name is Jasmine ***.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Sep 13, 2019

Thank you for your email. I have personally looked into this account and see that Ms, *** did revoke the garnishment. Overland Bond reached out to Pangea Real Estate by phone and email to no avail. The garnishment hotline we called is *** and also emailed them to ***@pangearealestate.com we do not know if they've received notice of revocation as they've never responded with confirmation of receipt. I paid of a car loan and they will not send my title. This has stopped me from selling the vehicle.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Jun 17, 2019

Customer called at 3:55pm on Friday, June 14th to inquire about the vehicle title. We advised the customer the title department clerk was already gone for the day and suggested he call back on Monday to speak to the title department to make arrangements for pick-up. Customer was upset that he couldn't get his title right there. Unfortunately when the title department is closed, we don't have access to the safe that holds the title. The title department can be reached at 773-*** between 9am and 4pm. Suggest the customer call during these hours to make arrangements for pick-up or, we can mail the title to him via certified mail.

Refinanced my vehicle with a new lender. New lender sent payoff check to Overland Bond for more than the payoff balance. Overland bond is holding my refund and refusing to issue the check citing system issues. Representative states they have to send an email to attempt to send the check. Payoff check was sent and received in their office about 3 weeks ago. My loan was paid off in good faith and my refund is being held. I offered to come to the office to pick it up. First the person told me they have it but can’t release it due to this system error that they are refusing to tell me about and they also have no resolution date either. Everyone I have spoken to has been rude and unprofessional. I would like my refund back. I owe them nothing else. My obligation had been fulfilled. I need them to return my funds.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Feb 13, 2019

was personally given a $285.39 check over the weekend. I have attached proof of the refund that was due and owing to her after all credits, debits and offsets.

The account is listed on my credit report with remarks that read "Chapter 7 bankruptcy" however I have never filed for or had anything discharged in bankruptcy. Attached you will find a copy of PACER transactions receipts that will verify this.

This is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act to report information on my personal credit report that is not accurate or able to be validated.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Sep 21, 2018

“For this complaint, I see Mrs. has a co-debtor on this account, Mr. ***. Mr. filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Northern District of Indiana on 2/21/2015, case# 15-20387 and subsequently was granted a discharge on June 8, 2018 under section 727 of title 11, UCS (the Bankruptcy Code). The only bankruptcy remarks we’re reporting are for Mr.. If for some reason Mrs. is showing bankruptcy remarks on her credit report, I’d like to see it. We are not reporting such activity to her credit report so it could be a technical problem reading our data query by the CRA’s. I’ve copied *** at my office who administers the *** account to see if she sees anything weird. Per ***, she doesn’t show that the consumer ever filed a dispute with the CRA’s. We can certainly amend the report to reflect no remarks other than the account is assigned to *** Law for suit but outside of that, I don’t know what more we can do. “

I recently lost my job. I made an agreement with the company to reduce my payments from. 212.83 to 150.00 every two weeks. I haven't missed a payment but the company reported to the credit bureau I'm delinquent on my payments. My credit report is being affected negatively.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Jun 18, 2018

The consumer's contractual payments are $212.83 biweekly. She is currently on a verbal payment arrangement of $150 biweekly due to loss of income; meaning, Overland Bond is allowing her to pay less temporarily till she gets back on her feet. If her account goes 30+ days past due, it may reflect as late on her credit report (something we cannot control). Have the consumer call me directly to see if there are some other options available to help maintain her credit rating in good standings.

Customer Response • Jun 18, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

The business is reporting that I am delinquent on my payments to the credit bureaus which is not true. It is negatively affecting my credit that is not fair especially since I am keeping up with the payments based on the latest agreement made with this organization.

Sincerely

Overland Bond was included in my Chapter 13 bankruptcy that concluded the beginning of 2017. So I don't owe them any money. Overland Bond continues to report missed payments to the major credit bureaus. I have disputed their claims 2 times with Transunion. Overland bond keeps claiming that I owe them over $11,000. I have called at least 5 times to talk to someone about this situation. I'm being told that I can only talk to someone in their Bankruptcy and Legal Department, but that person is always unavailable. One person I spoke with said she sent and email to this Department. I spoke with another person who accused me of lying about disputing their claims. I offered to fax my transunion report and my Bankruptcy conclusion report, but the man hung up on me. I have also requested to speak to a manager several times and the operator will always tell me no and that a manger wouldn't be able to help me. This has been going on for about 6 months.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response • Feb 23, 2018

Tonye *** will need to file a dispute online, phone or mail with the credit bureau(s) that are reporting the erroneous information she claims. She called on 2/9/2018 to assert a dispute about her credit report and the account manager told her the same thing. Overland Bond shows the account is closed, paid in full with zero balance owing. We we are reporting the same to the bureau as well. Since this issue cannot be fixed on our end because we are reporting properly, we suggest she contact the Trans Union & Equifax for assistance. They will then contact Overland Bond through a dispute portal called e-Oscar. Our credit department will respond to the dispute in a timely manner and acknowledge any errors it finds. I hope this addresses the customers concern.

I am a current customer and I am fully responsible for the contracts I enter into. BUT. There is such a thing as customer service and handling people with respect. This company is by far the worse finance car company I have ever had to deal with. Common sense doesn't apply with these people. I have another loan with a very good finance company that I would recommend. You know what they did? Its the holidays they asked me if I needed to postpone a payment or arrange a smaller payment because its the holidays and they know everyone is cash strapped. Now that's customer service. That's how you lock in a customer for long term. Overland is horrible. I fly in on saturday morning and have to go straight to the office. I work until 7pm that day and my payment is due. Once I get settled in the office and day is over I go to make my payment online and realize I am $60 short on the payment. Their office closes at 4pm on Saturday so no one to call. But I don't want the car disabled on sunday. So I felt it was better to make the partial payment less $60 ($200 plus) then to not make any payment and speak with them on Monday. Monday I get a call the car is disabled because I still owe the balance. No call, no text, no email from anyone to at the very least contact me and discuss why I made a $200 plus payment and was $60 short before they cut it off. No contact at all until the car is disabled. Here's their silly, lack of common sense response you will always get from them "You signed a contract" " The SYSTEM will disable it nothing we can do". They love that line "The System" like its some robotic mastermind taking over their company. They love using that and the you signed a contract line. Its unreal the lack of common sense they use. Why not call me, say "hey mr customer we say you made a partial payment, (80%) of the payment, did something happen, we may have wanted to reach you before we disable your vehicle somewhere in the middle of a parking lot". No that doesn't happen because they don't give a ***. Their customer service is horrible. What's worse is I got to work at 6am monday morning and had every intent when they opened to call them and discuss the partial and setup when I can make the remaining payment but again car disabled before I'm out of my meeting. Its almost UNREAL!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT. I'm regretting it less than 1yr into the loan. Also don't let them use the "you made arrangement line". Its like they read from some handbook. I never made an arrangement is what I kept saying to them and they keep saying you made an arrangement. My regular payment is not an "arrangement". Its such Bull dealing with them. Can't wait until its over.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Overland Bond. Please call me at the office so we can discuss further.

My daughter *** purchased a 2010 Toyota Sion from Car Credit Center in Nov. 2015 which I was the co-signer for. This vehicle was financed through Overland Bond & Investment Corporation. In June 2017 the vehicle was parked when it was hit by another vehicle. The insurance company determined the car was a total loss. Blue Book value of this vehicle was paid to Overland Bond. The balance remaining on this vehicle after the Blue Book value was paid was $6,500. Once the vehicle was determined to be a total loss my daughter did not make any payments. She was informed that if she wanted to purchase another vehicle she should return to Car Credit Center and they would add the remaining balance of $6,500 to the price of another vehicle. On July 24, 2017 she returned to Car Credit Center and they sold her a 2015 Chevrolet Cruse which I also co-signed for and it was also financed through Overland Bond. The first payment for this vehicle was due Sept. 1, 2017. Three weeks after the car was purchased my daughter lost her job. Car Credit Center found out that she was not working and started calling her continuously. I told her to refer their calls to me. I spoke with the salesman *** on Aug. 23, 2017 and he told me that my daughter had to have a job. I told him that "I am the co-buyer, and I have a job". He told me that the buyer had to have a job. On Aug. 25th Car Credit Center shut the vehicle down and told my daughter that they would only cut it back on for her to drive it back to them. Now Overland Bond is charging interest on the $6,500. I told them that interest should not accrue when the balance was added to the other vehicle. They have sent wage assignments to my employer in different amounts when they have not allowed me to make payment arrangements on the remaining balance. The continue to come up with numerous dollar amounts. They claim not to know anything about another vehicle being purchased but I have a contract showing them as the finance compan

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I spoke with *** at Overland Bond who said he is the manager. We made a verbal agreement that I will pay Overland Bond $300 monthly. I purchased a *** and my mother co signed for it from *** Credit Center, Overland Bond financed the *** for me on 11/22/15. The *** was totaled while parked on 06/22/16 and it had full coverage insurance, The insurance company paid Overland Bond $4,500 which left me owing $6,500. Overland Bond & *** Credit Center agreed to give me another vehicle and just add the remaining $6,500 to it which I have a contract for. Approximately 3 weeks later I was laid off my mother had the same paydays as me, and she informed Overland Bond that she would be making the payments until I found another job, she was then told that the buyer needed a job. *** Credit Center switched the *** off and told me that they wouldn't cut it on unless I was bringing the *** back to them which I did. Overland Bond has sent out three different amounts that I supposedly owe. I really need help because it feels like I'm being scammed.

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response

I don't understand what happened since the complaint is against two companies. I can only respond as to Overland Bond. Please call ***, Manager, directly at *** extension *** so I can further assist.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:I have been given three different amounts owed when I have a contract showing that I only owed $6,500.

Sincerely

Overland Bond & Investment Corporation Response

I have not received a call from the consumer. If she was given three different amounts, there could be a good reason for it. Balance before accident? Balance after insurance check applied? Payoff balance? I dont know how to respond to the consumer unless she calls me directly so I can address her concerns. I can be reached directly at ***. ***, Manager
