[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Assumed Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I feel that they did not properly assess the situation before they threw a new oil ring on and cleaned my whole engine in minutes and returned me the vehicle it is a under 5000miles and I feel as they are not going out of there way to help a mishandled consumerI would like my car to be detailed a new undercarriage because mine has oil slung all over the under side of my vehicle and a full inspection beyond there free inspection given at that dealership and I would like that full inspection to take place at a sister dealership because I feel they will not perform a reliable inspectionI was mistreated at this dealership as if it was my fault this has taken placeRegards, [redacted] ***

We did do an oil change, rotate and inspection on the Chrysler 200. Shortly after the vehicle was picked up the customer returned with smoke coming out from under the hood. We shut the car off and looked to see where the smoke was coming from. We could see oil had leaked from the oil filter housing...

which is on top of the engine on a 200. We pulled the dipstick out to see how much oil had leaked out, the oil was still in the safe zone on the dipstick which indicated less than a quart had leaked out. We started the car(because it still had oil in the engine) and drove it the 40 feet back to the shop so we could see why the filter was leaking. When we pulled the oil cap off we could see that the new o-ring we had installed earlier had broken. I did save the o-ring and it is in my possession. We replaced the o-ring again and reinstalled the filter cover, we topped off the oil and started the car to verify there were no more leaks. After that we drove the vehicle to our wash bay and cleaned off the spilled oil that had leaked down the side of the engine. I returned the vehicle to the customer and apologized for the issue and offered him to take his vehicle to where we send our vehicles out for detailing and that we would pay for the entire vehicle to be cleaned up professionally inside and out. There was no oil on the tireS, the smoke was coming from the oil leaking on to the side of the hot engine. We looked over the entire vehicle for any issues. At no time did the engine run low on oil.

I would like my car to be detailed a new undercarriage because mine has oil slung all over the under side of my vehicle and a full inspection beyond there free inspection given at that dealership and I would like that full inspection to take place at a sister dealership because I feel they will not perform a reliable inspection.
