Back in September of 2019, I had applied for an apartment with Overlook Pointe Apartments. They told me that if I am denied, I will receive a refund. I contacted them via email back in December to follow up on the refund. No response. I finally went out to the office in person in January of this year. When I mentioned that I emailed her she said that she never got an email. I was told by the leasing manager that the corporate office was behind on sending out refunds. I asked her when I would receive the refund, since I paid for it in September and it was the middle of January of 2020. She said no later than two weeks. Two weeks have come and gone. I have called and every time I talk to her she says something about the computer software having issues and would need to call back. Two weeks ago, I called again and she said she would have to call corporate to find out what was going on. I asked her to please call me back with the information she found out. As of today, February 8, 2020, I STILL have yet to hear from her.
We received the letter in the mail yesterday and wanted to reply to the complaint that you received. Lori F applied for an apartment with us and placed a $100 holding fee on an apartment. She also paid a non-refundable application fee of $15 at the time of application. The $100 was sent to her Via mail, check #1036, to the address that was provided at the time of application, The check was mailed from our corporate office in January and as of yesterday it had not been returned to them as being undeliverable. I have attempted to contact Lori at the phone number that she provided to verify that the mailing address is correct In order to void the original check, if needed, and send her a new one. She his not responded to our phone calls.

I told Jessica in December the address that it was supposed to be mailed to several times. I told her that the mail is being forwarded to Florida as my parents are down there until May. My parents as of today, February 24, 2020 have not received any checks in the amount of $115 from Overlook Pointe.

We spoke to Lori today via email. She sent over the new address and it was forwarded to the accounting department. The original check will be voided and a new one will be sent. I have attached the email thread.
