Overseas Military Sales Corporation Reviews (7)

Review: I purchased a vehicle on ** June 2015 from this company at [redacted]. I informed the salesman, Chris L**, that I was being stationed in Guam in Aug and I wanted to have a car delivered there. He informed me that the best course of action was to sale my car locally and ship the new vehicle on my orders. I had a newborn baby so I stressed the importance of having a vehicle at my disposal once I arrived. He checked his system and told me that since I was ordering from factory, I would have the car by mid Sept but with a drop dead date of * Oct. He told me that if the car was not there then the company would help me out. I provided all requested paperwork. I arrived in Guam on ** Aug and had to get a rental car. I was contacted by Mr. L** on ** Aug that he we needed to see me to fill out more paperwork. Since I was already in Guam everything had to be done by email. He sent Power of Attorney paperwork in the [redacted]. This paperwork should have been completed back in July rather than waiting now with a huge time difference between us. I asked on ** Aug if the vehicle will be delivered at the time that was quoted. He said that “she is ready to sail and once the payment and paperwork is sorted she will leave.” He said he asked transport to update him with all the shipping times and the like and that he would let me know as soon as they get back to him. Until * Sept, Chris would ask for bits of paperwork that I would have to get signed, scanned and return. Everything he requested was returned within 24 hours. He even began asking for paperwork that I originally gave him back in June. All of this was delaying the shipment of my car. On ** Sept, I informed him on the rental cost I was incurring and he stated that my car was “moving” to me now. He lied. I kept emailing him and he never responded. My friend and I contacted the main company in New York and I was told there is nothing that can be done. I finally found the shipping information for my vehicle (since Chris would not respond) and was told that it didn’t ship until ** Sept and I wouldn’t have it until ** Nov. I spoke to Overseas Manager, David Senior, and he stated that Chris would never lie to me and that he wouldn’t promise me a delivery date. He then stated that the Oct date was a guaranteed delivery to shipping and not me. As a consumer, why would I want a guaranteed delivery date to the shipping company rather than me? They played on words and collected their commission. Even when I sent Chris L** the email asking why he lied about the date he never responded nor denied he promised that. Neither company (New York or Mildenhall) has responded or tried to help after numerous calls and emails. I am an active duty member who was scammed. It is common sense that no one would purchase a car if the salesman told them they cannot guarantee a delivery for 5 months. As a result of this frustration, I am now out of $2500 waiting for Overseas Military SalesDesired Settlement: While I expected to incur some rental cost, I didn’t expect to pay $2500. As a single parent on active duty, this is a large amount to pay out of pocket when I was guaranteed something different. The New York office told me that David Senior would help with compensation but he will not reply.

Dear [redacted],We do apologize for any inconvenience incurred by [redacted]. I assure you Overseas Military Sales Corp. (OMSC) takes customer service very seriously and in no way intended to deceive [redacted]. At this time we have been unable to find any documentation or notes to support [redacted]’s claim that there was an offer to compensate her for her rental costs. We have reviewed [redacted]’s customer file and have found the order acceptance, dated * July 2015, which states that the vehicle was to be delivered to the U.S. port for international shipment on * October 2015. Our records reflect that [redacted]’s vehicle was delivered early and left port to Guam on ** September 2015.At this time we are not willing to compensate [redacted] for her rental vehicle costs. OMSC has complied with the terms of the customer’s order and the vehicle was delivered to port as per the terms of the paperwork. Attached please find a copy of the above referenced order acceptance for your review. Should you wish to discuss this matter further please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely,James M. B[redacted]General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

This company has been reneging on promises from day one. After agreeing to the terms of a vehicle for purchase to be picked up in the states, the price of the vehicle was changed due to requirement for a certain discount not being met. The proper information was not disclosed to us as the customer, and we were only informed on a small section of an email stating we owed $500 more for the vehicle. I went to the sales person, who informed me "that has been happening lately, you just need to pay the $500 or the car won't be moved". Once paid I sent an email to complain. There was never an issued apology of manager contact, just another small part of an email staying we were credited back. After all this mess the vehicle was delayed, meaning our requested day of the [redacted] was now said to be delivered the [redacted]. Which came and past. Now it is saying today; the [redacted]. No one has any idea where my car is, what the status is, or when it will be available. The dealership representative at [redacted] in [redacted] is no where to be found. This company has been a nightmare the whole experience. I would not use them again, not recommend them to anyone.

Review: I PUT A DEPOSIT FOR A CAR AND LATER CHANGE MY MIND FOR THE CAR. BECAUSE I WAS NOT UP TO MY SATISFACTION WITH THE CAR AN NOW IM GETTING CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE INSTEAD OF GETTING MY MONEY. I JUST WANTED MY MONEY BACK THAT WHAT CONTRACT SAY IF I DIDN’T LIKE THE CAR I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK.Desired Settlement: I JUST WANTED MY MONEY BACK

Ordered '15 Challenger Scat Pack with a delivery of *Jan while in Japan. After not hearing anything from anybody and seeing that they cashed my check I called corporate offices in NY only to find out that delivery will be at least 3 weeks later. They knew in November that the vehicle production was delayed and at that time I was still in Japan but yet no one told me. So here I am stuck without a car waiting on them to refund me my money so I can go to another Dodge dealer to get the exact same car but for $2546.78 cheaper. Imagine that, they sell themselves as unbeatable on their prices when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

Review: I ordered a new Ford Fusion through the Overseas Military Sales Corporation in the begining of April 2013. I PCS'ed to Germany shortly after and was promised a delivery date of ** June. (I have EVERY email and coorespondance for review if necessary) It is now almost August and I still do not have the vehicle. I have been lied to, given the run-around, contracts from the company broken, while I am still expected to hold up my end of the bargain, no compensation - except for "the mistakes they already made" and I'm out of a vehicle all these months. I am now 8.5 months pregnant, still in a rental, and without the agreed to car. I've been in contact with everyone from the salesman, to his manager, to the administrative processor in New York - and I now receive no further sastification or responses. I have now become the "worst-case" scenario with no customer care or resolution. I feel as though I'm a problem they just want to hurry up and get rid of. I have no other option but to file a complaint through the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: On top of our set agreement, I would also like compensation for the rental car(s) that I have had to come out of pocket on since ** Jun until present. I think this is only fair. Any other monetary compensation would be appreciated if they don't wish to tarnish their reputation. In my opinion, my time is very valuable and they have yet to recognize that! I just want fairness, that's all. I'm an honest, hard working active duty service member starting a family in a new country.... the stress of this situation alone is absurd. I purposefully ordered a vehicle prior to arriving in country to avoid this very issue. I'm the only one who seems to have a problem! What's wrong with this picture? Thanks for your understanding and resolution.

Review: I am Spaniard citizen working for a multinational company (GSK) which has relocated me in North Carolina, indeed, I gain a working visa

During the weeks before my arrival I had to look for a car and third company put me in contact with a leasing company called “International Auto Source”, they work through phone and internet, their webpage is

[redacted] United States – Head Office

Phone: ###-###-#### [redacted] As part of the discussions that we had they promised me to have a lease for 20,000 miles/year

They said to me that I should make a down payment of $1,000 and I committed to that down payment, indeed, I made the down payment in early September 2015

During the phone calls there was a mention that the down payment will only refundable under certain circumstances, however, no written confirmation was received after the down payment was made

When I arrive to North Carolina I received the contract by mail and I could notice that on the contract they were asking for a premium if I wanted the 20,000 miles/year

On this sense I complained and they said that those were the conditions

I continued complaining and they said that if I did not want to proceed I will lose the money

I continued complaining and they admitted that they had made a mistake and that I would received a partial refund (25% of the initial down payment)

I asked for confirmation regarding when I will received this refund and they have not repliedDesired Settlement: I would like to receive a fair refund considering that the company sales representative identified that I have not received the right information upon receiving the contract in paper.

Moreover, the first time I received written confirmation that the down payment was not refundable was made once the down payment was made, I have to confess that over the phone many things were said such that the refund will only take place under certain conditions but not clearly specifying those conditions.

Review: I was supposed to received a purchased vehicle on the [redacted] of December 2015. I set up arrangements months prior to the date while I was overseas. I contact the dealership, as well as Military Autosource to confirm my delivery. The vehicle was not delivered. I have, until this day, ** December 2015, have been going back and forth with Military Autosource in regards to when I will receive my vehicle. They delayed the process in providing me with a rental, and every time I call or email, I get the run around, or sometimes my emails and calls don't even be answered. I have been truly been provided with poor customer service. I have tried to work with them, but it's becoming very very frustrating and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I have my car payment that is due in January, in which I do not even have my car. I would like for some type of compensation on my payment, and I would like for the process of my vehicle to be expedited.
