Overtime Motors Inc. Reviews (2)

Good afternoon,

I purchased a vehicle from Overtime motors inc. located at 9701 Fayetteville Rd. Raleigh, NC on July 14th, 2016. Just moments after I drove off with the vehicle, the check engine light came on, the car began to make strange noises, and I noticed a very awkward smell coming from the exhaust. I contacted overtime to make them aware immediately. I was told to come back. They utilized some sort of device to diagnose and obtain a code. I was informed that the fuel line/ system was too rich, and that they would need to "fill the gas tank." I was told that this would resolve the issue. Well, the following day the check engine light was back on and the AC was not working properly. I was then told to bring the car back so that their mechanic could take a look. I complied. A day later, I received a call from [redacted] the sales representative whom I had been dealing with from day one. He informed me that the vehicle was fixed, he said that they had to replace an incubator belt and replace the AC because it was cracked. Again, I was told that I should not have anymore issues. Unfortunately, the following day not only was the check engine light back on, the car began to shake, and make all sorts of strange sounds, I also noticed an oil leak. I began to research the information I received from [redacted] about the rich fuel line. I became extremely concerned. Especially once I read about the possibility of polluting gases such as hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide being expelled. I thought, that explains the weird smell coming from the car. I have two young children and I refuse to drive them around in this vehicle, it is unfit. I called [redacted] at Overtime once again, and I explained to him the symptoms. He advised me to bring the car back. I live approximately 80 miles or so from this place of business so it would have been unsafe for me to drive the faulty vehicle back to their establishment. Also, I felt as though their mechanic could not help much, because he had already done his due diligence to "repair" the vehicle. I'm very confident that they were aware of the issues with the vehicle prior to selling it, and I want answers.
