I had my car towed yesterday by AAA and the driver subjected Oviedo Car Care, Inc when I told him the shop I was going to was charging me $to do a diagnostic as I was not sure what was wrong - just that it had started to make a noise I had never heard it makeAfter the car was gone I saw the bad review on here and panickedI called and the owner answered the phoneI flat out told him I had seen the review and was concernedHe was nice,(even though I'm sure I sounded a little crazy) said he was aware of itHe never spoke bad about that person but went on to tell me about himself and his coNever tried to pressure me but assured me he would never do any work that did not need to be done and that I would have to give him the ok after he gave me all the details and full costsMy car is a and I explained I was broke and need the least work done to get it safely back on the roadI asked him to please take a lookHe called back in a hour with his findings and the full price to

Beware!! My 90 year old grandfather was totally scammed and we got there too late to help! His car broke on the side of the road, he called AAA and the "kind" tow truck driver that is in bed with the garage towed it all the way to Oviedo (he lives in Casselberry) because that is who AAA works with (not). They charged him $850, $350 more than any other place. They mark up parts by over 100%. I am totally ok with making some profit but give me a break! Please don't say it is NAPA parts with a warranty, I can get a warranty on parts at CARQUEST, Advance Auto, etc. A radiator that would normally be just over $119 retail at those places (we checked), you charged over $200! How they could scam someone that has a car that is only worth $2,000 and is elderly makes me SICK! We talked to the shop- the guy at the desk was nice but the owner would not budge. RIP of!
