Owens Income Tax

My wife and I filed our taxes for 2012 with Owens income tax service and when the prepairers and I were finished I was told what our refund would be, the repairer asked if I wanted to do efile and I agreed, I was not told there was a fee. I asked what the fee for doing the taxes would be and was told $250.00; I paid the fee by cash and was given a receipt. I received a letter from IRS that my refund would be sent in 2 to 3 weeks. Owens income tax service called me and said the check was in office. I went and picked up check and the amount was not the amount the IRS sent them. I asked why and was told there were fee not told to me at time of preparation. I asked how could their be fees when I paid up front, and are now being given the run around about fees, I sat with the lady and I asked if I paid you up front how can you take the fee out twice and now given the run around again.Product_Or_Service: Tax preperation 2012Desired SettlementThe balance of $400.00 what was shorted to meBusiness Response To whom it may concern, [redacted] was given a receipt by accident. The fact of the matter is that$250 was not received in our office from him. I've tried contacting [redacted] by text / calling and have yet to get a response from him, on another matter that was an issue concerning the difference in his refund check. Whats puzzling to me is that if [redacted] gave us $250 extra for processing his 2012 return why didnt he contact our office owner about this issue?
