Owen's removed and replaced a sidewalk to correct puddles. New sidewalk has puddles.Owen's removed a sidewalk that ran from the street to my house. It had a massive puddle (lake) at the panel just before the stoop. He replaced the sidewalk and that panel and another have puddles now. He finished the work and I paid him with a personal check for $1100 March 31, 2014. The sidewalk work was $850 and a driveway patch was $250. A month or so later, I called and told him about the puddles. He suggested that the lawn/dirt surrounding the walk was too high and I assured him that the sidewalk was higher. He said he would come by and look when it rained.I never heard back from him. I called again about a month later and left him a voice message that he didn't need to wait til it rained (although we had plenty of storms in the interim) because now there's big stains where the water sits. He didn't respond. I called him again, around the end of July and left another voice message that I was concerned about his lack of response. Now it's mid-Sept and he has never responded.Desired SettlementI want Owen's to come out and do the job properly. That means he has to dig out the new sidewalk and replace it. If he refuses, then I want my money back, the $850 I paid for the sidewalk. I can't take less than the full amount because another contractor can't just pull up the defective sections of the sidewalk and replace them. It ALL has to come out.
