I gave a deposit on [redacted] paid for a boat fully on [redacted] was promised they would service everything prior and was given a trailer with a split tire. I wasn't given the boat until [redacted] was told the entire boat and trailer would be gone through and serviced, said they fixed everything and when I picked it up the tire on my trailer is completely split and never fixed or replaced as promised. This is a safety and liability issue and they have not repaired it. It took them three weeks from time of deposit until they gave it to me and repairs were not made. I asked they fix the tire on the trailer as it was noticeably flat and they said they went through the whole thing. Now I have to purchase new tires. I don't expect brand new ones from the marina, but being handed a split tire is a huge safety concern as I have small children. They did not make the repairs as promised and they also promised a 30 day warranty and stand behind their products, but they refuse to fix the tire. I had this boat paid forDesired SettlementI gave a [redacted] deposit on [redacted] paid for the boat in full on [redacted] They promised me a 30 day warranty and that they stand behind their products. When taking for a test run, fluids needed to be topped off, trim was not functioning, and gimbal bearing needed to be replaced, and flat tire on trailer needed to be replaced. We had to wait until [redacted] to pick up the boat, the boat services appeared to be complete, but the trailer tire was completely split. When asking the oxbow why that was not fixed, they said we bought a used boat. I do not expect brand new tires, but a split tire is a huge safety and liability concern as I have two small children. It is not towable for a long distance and is very unsafe. They promised to go through the entire boat and trailer but the tire is not drivable for more than a few miles. I am now expected to buy two new tires to even use a boat I took a loan out for, and the oxbow is refusing to replace the one tire that is split. They had their check in full two weeks before we were able to pick up the boat, due to them not even having a title. I have called multiple times as well as my boyfriend and was given the run around and a different story each time. They did not provide paperwork on proof of service they performed while owning the boat. I am furious and completely let down that I spent so much money and was given a boat with an unsafe trailer. all I asked is they replace the tire and they refuse, voiding their 30 day warranty they promised me.Business Response She bought this 10 year old used boat and had everyopportunity to inspect is before she purchased it and after she purchased it she complained about the wear on the tiresConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I noticed upon visual inspection that the tire was flat and was told it would be taken care of before I took the boat home. It appears only air was put in and never repaired. False information and misleading because they never repaired it, it was only refilled. I received a phone call about 2-3 weeks after purchase and was asked "[redacted] wants to know how you're getting the boat around with bad tires?" My response was I purchased two new tires. Right there was proof the oxbow was completely aware they sold me a boat and trailer with bad tires. Terrible business and will be posting wherever possible not to do business with this company. Newspapers, social media, word of mouth, whatever it takes to get the word out. they can't even reimburse me for my tires, it's disheartening and sad that a customer gets treated this way. Final Business Response According to the salesman, they accepted the condition of the boat when they took delivery. It had normal wear and tear for a boat of it's age (10 years old) and that if they were dissatisfied with it's condition they could have refused delivery.
