Review: I called Oxbo Marine in Juneau, Wisconsin for a boat solenoid for my boat. The business answered the phone and I asked for a price for a boat solenoid and was told to call back later for a price on the part because I was told everyone was busy, which I found rude because the business seems to be tracking my number by caller id number, so I called from a different number and the business was willing to look up the part right away the business is purposely giving me bad service and other customers good service. So I called the business back the same day three hours later and was told the boat business had three solenoids in stock for my boat. I arrived at the business with my old boat solenoid to match the numbers exactly with the new boat solenoid so I could get the exact same part, so the part would work. I showed Ms. [redacted] the owner my old boat solenoid and she asked for my boat serial number and model, which I gave her, she said that this starter solenoid would work with my boat but refused to show me in the computer that this was the correct part. In addition, the part numbers were not the same as the original boat solenoid I brought it from my original boat, and the part she gave me was not the correct boat solenoid. That day I purchased the boat solenoid I accidentally left the old boat solenoid on the counter at the business Ox-Bo Marine. I purchased the boat solenoid that day because I took the owners word that the boat solenoid was the correct part, even though again the part number wasn't the same as my old boat solenoid. I did some research online and it turns out this is the wrong boat solenoid for my boat. I don't appreciate the owner purposely giving me the wrong part. I arrived at OxBo Marine to return my starter solenoid because online it states this is the wrong solenoid for my boat. The owner was rude Ms. [redacted] she said, that we don't take return on electrical parts and that we don't take return on parts two weeks after there purchased and not with the original box the solenoid came in. The invoice that I purchased the boat solenoid on doesn't state that there is no return on electrical parts and after two weeks returns will not be excepted and the box must be with the product to return it. Furth more I should be able to return the product because there is no policy stating this on the receipt when purchased. In addition, I told [redacted] that she purposely gave me the wrong boat solenoid and I asked for my original boat solenoid back that I left at the business when I purchased the boat and she said we don't keep parts around laying around for two weeks. She purposely didn't give back my old boat solenoid with the part number to cover up her actions of giving me the wrong boat solenoid that way I couldn't prove that she is lying to me and not telling me the truth for my boat after she said she gave me the same boat solenoid as my original boat solenoid but wouldn't give me my original back she admitted that I did leave my boat solenoid at the business but wouldn't give the old boat solenoid back.. Finally, I have a witness that states that the business purposely gave me the wrong part on purpose and planned these actions out so I wouldn't be there customer anymore. How unethical and unprofessional of a business to give a customer the wrong part. What is even more terrible is these actions were planned out and I heard about it from someone else it was done on purpose. Please send a refund check to the address below otherwise: my attorney will be writing a demand letter to you demanding a refund check and my attorney will tell you that I have a witness in this case that it was planned out to give me the wrong boat solenoid and this has been done to other customers not just me being given the wrong parts my witness even said the business gave him a wrong part on purpose also.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund check issued to [redacted].

I would like my boat solenoid left at the business returned to me at [redacted].

Consumer called our business with a part number and these numbers change

often and the part number he gave us he got the newest verison of that

part, the consumer left his old part at our business we matched it up

with the new one which was in a box he payed for the new part and left

the old one with us and we threw it away. Several weeks later he came

back with the new part without the box and the receipt saying that we

sold him the wrong part he wanted his money back cause he stated we sold

him the wrong part. There are no returns on electrical parts. This

consumer also came and verbally abused me at the business there is nothing further I can do for this consumer.

I do not accept the response made by the business for the following reasons:

Where on the receipt does it specifically state there is no returns on Electrical Parts? I talked to another customer who purchased electrical parts from your business and he stated you let him return his electrical part but not me. You can override any policy and procedure as a business owner and your just lieing to me. I came into your business with the new boat part and the receipt your not telling the truth with that statement you made you said I did'nt come into your business with the receipt.

I purchased the boat Solenoid from [redacted] at least there part works and is the same part number as the original boat solenoid and your boat Solenoid is the wrong part number for my boat and I have the receipt to prove it. I can provide a copy of the receipt [redacted] provided me with the correct Solenoid and the copy of your receipt with the wrong part number on the invoice to prove you purposely gave me the wrong part number for my boat. I would like a refund of the Boat Solenoid mailed to my mailing address otherwise this issue will remain unresolved with the business. Refund the part otherwise you will have a complaint on the Revdex.com.org website the choice is yours. This business owner keep lieing she can override any policy and procedure and refund the part. Failure to refund the boat part due to giving me the wrong part number which I can prove from ebays receipt will result in a demand letter from my attorney, who already has all the information in this case.

Response:

The part number request ed by [redacted] was Mercury part number [redacted], This part number changes several times to the newest version of this part which is [redacted] . This is the part that he was sold I know this because I was able to locate the part he left behind in the recycling bin after my initial response was liven. I have enclosed a copy of the part supersession chain from Mercury. I did not accept the return because he was sold a part in a box. He did not provide the packaging. It is

customary to not take returns on electrical items. I ultimately took the stand I did with him because he verbally attacked me. His exact words were, "You' re a lying cum .... I proceeded to tell him to leave and not ever come back; he threatened to call the cops. I told him to go ahead. I am not going to waste any more time on this. I did not sell him the incorrect part; I sold him the newest version of the part number he asked for. He provided the Part number, not me. I did not provide a return because the original packaging was absent. The fact that it was an electrical part was a small fraction of the reason for denying the return. Mutual respect would have been given if it would have been presented to start with.
