Review: I attended this school for 3 half days from 9-1 and I quickly realized that it was a scam of a school. No learning was actually taking place and the students were teaching other students. I had a full pull grant and financial aid and after 3 days I decided that I no longer wanted to attend and transfer to another school due to the poor interactions and learning atmosphere. After a laborious meeting with [redacted] the owner she informed me that the equipment was non refundable which was a fee of 1200 dollars. At this time I agreed to set up a payment plan to pay this off as it was non refundable. I actually recieved a bill for 3500 dollars for the 3 half days that I spent enrolled in this school. Most schools pro rate time spent as any accredited and reputable learning academy would but not this place. So now that I have graduated from another good schoo such as academy di capelli I am employed and now looking at buyin a home. Unfortunately due to this scam I have a 4000 dollar debt that is on my credit and the owner refuses to work with me on this. Do yourself a favor and find another school if you are interested in becoming a hair stylist.

[redacted] visited other schools (as stated in her application) before choosing Oxford Academy of Hair Design as her first choice. The student signed and understood that she had entered into a signed enrollment contract on 12/3/2010.

The contract states: If a student withdraws from the school or is terminated by the school for any reason whatsoever, the student and/or guarantor agrees to pay the entire balance of the tuition and all fees. The affidavit of hours and certificate of completion is withheld until all fees and charges have been met. The academy completed the refund calculation based on the refund policy stated in the enrollment contract. The enrollment contract is approved by both NACCAS and the Dept. of Education.

[redacted] stated she was withdrawing because of the distance/travel. The statements made here on the Revdex.com and on every other website review board are completely false. Telling students "not to attend our school or to find another school" is slander and have been turned over to our attorney. [redacted] made no attempt to make payment arrangements on the balance she owes the school, per the contract she signed. Her account was sent to a collection agency on 4/18/11 because she owes the balance.

In 2011, 83% of students completed the course, 82% were licensed, and 80% were placed in jobs in our industry. Our rates speak for themselves in regard to our school, its program, its teachers and its administration. We are Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences and approved by the Federal Department of Education.
