June 30, 2016Dear *** ***,In *** ***’s complaint she states that she entered into a payment arrangement with Oxford Law, LLC, that she did not fully understand what she was paying and therefore asked for a letter concerning the agreement to be mailed to her, that she did not get the letter,
that we ran the payment that she approved, that she is supposedly paying $on a $bill and wants her $returned.Upon receipt of this complaint I performed an internal investigation of the account in questionI do see that *** *** did enter into a payment arrangement to settle her account with us and the initial payment was for $as she states in her complaintI also reviewed the account with our Customer Service Representative and the letter was originally mailed out to an old address and when *** *** called in looking for her letter we received a new address and the letter was then re-sent that same day; she never asked for the initial $to be returned during this callOn a side note *** *** was not paying $on a $debt, the agreement was to pay $on a $debtIn addition our Customer Service Representative has subsequently talked with *** *** and they have an agreement that if *** *** has not received the payment arrangement letter by Tuesday July that her final payment which is scheduled for that day will be moved until she receives the letter. Our firm holds the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and all other Federal and State Laws in highest regards and enforcement of those laws is a priority in our officeThe owners, management and employees of the firm take pride in providing our client’s and their customers with a good customer experience on every contactNon-compliance of laws or our standard operating procedures by any employee results in disciplinary action up to and including terminationWe do not condone harassment nor tolerate unprofessional actions by our employees. On behalf of the firm, I apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused *** *** as our goal is to always provide a good customer experience while helping assist our customers in resolving their accounts, all in accordance with the FDCPA and all other Federal and State laws and guidelines. In closing, if *** *** has any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.Sincerely,Charles R

July 20, 2016Dear *** ***,In *** ***’s 2nd rejection she states that HSBC has stated on her credit report that this account has been written off/closed and does not understand why we are still requesting payment on it.In response to this rejection you need to understand the Debt Collection Industry and how Creditors handle accounts that go delinquentIf a Creditor has an account that goes delinquent at a certain point they make a decision to write- off/close the account on their side and sell it to a Debt Buyer so to limit their overall lose, whom then would normally send the account to a Collection Agency; *** *** may disagree with HSBC selling the debt but she cannot reject this as the law states what HSBC did is perfectly legal and acceptableIn addition *** ***’s payment has revised the Statute of Limitations which expands our avenues to collect the debtIn any event we have no desire to do this and will close the account in our office as uncollectableWe can give no guarantees that someone else might not continue collections on this account. In closing, if *** *** has any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.Sincerely,Charles RChief Compliance Officer

April 17, 2016Dear *** ***,In *** ***’s complaint she states that she received a call on both her work and mobile numbers, that we are calling from an attorney’s office, that she believes that she does not owe the debt and that she was told that she had until the end of the day to respond
back to our Customer Service Representative or she would face a lawsuit.Upon receipt of this complaint I performed an internal investigation of the account in questionOur Customer Service Representative did call *** *** on both her mobile and work phone numbers but there was no message left on her mobile phone number and we did talk to her at workOur Customer Service Representative did state that she was calling from Oxford Law, LLC which is an attorney’s office, and gave *** *** our contact information when it was stated she was at work and needed to call us backOur Customer Service Representative did request a call back that day since *** *** was not able to talk while she was at work but our Customer Service Representative would never have insinuated suit as we do not litigate in CaliforniaIn addition at no time did *** *** dispute the debt to our RepresentativeWhen we received *** ***’s complaint the account was closed in our office and is being returned to our client with a copy of this complaint; she will receive no more contact from Oxford Law, LLC in reference to this account. In closing, if *** *** has any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.Sincerely,Charles RChief Compliance Officer

June 23, 2015Dear *** ***,In *** ***’s complaint she states that she gave us her attorney’s information before, that our Representative was rude and that we are to only contact her attorney.Upon receipt of this complaint I performed an internal investigation of the account in questionIt
does seem that *** *** gave a previous representative her attorney information but he failed to notate the account correctly which resulted in another call being made to *** ***In addition when *** *** on a subsequent call informed the second representative that she was filing bankruptcy again our representative could have handled the balance of the conversation a bit better; our representative should have notated the account as such versus letting her feelings about consumers filing multiple bankruptcies so to avoid paying their legitimate debts get the best of herI do apologize to *** *** on the way she was treated on this last call; I just wish that I had known of this issue before nowI have closed the account in our office and returned it to our client with a copy of this complaint so *** *** will no longer receive any more contact from Oxford Law, LLC in relation to this account. In closing, if *** *** has any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.Sincerely,Charles R.Chief Compliance Officer

July 22,
Dear *** ***,In *** ***'s complaint she states that we have been harassing her, we are calling from an attorney's office, she has not received any letters from us, that the account must be passed the Statute of Limitations and she wants no more contact from us.Upon receipt of
this complaint I performed an internal investigation of the account in questionThe account in question arrived in our office on June 1, and between that day and July 20, 2015, when we received *** ***'s complaint, we had left only messages for her, with no return calls from herWe are calling from Oxford Law, LLC which is an attorney's office so I am not sure why she would have thought that it could have been the Attorney General's Office; we even left a return phone number for *** *** to call back and if she had we would have answered all of her questionsIn terms of not receiving any letters from us we did send the initial letter out to her, we did not receive a return mail, that listed the current creditor, her internal account number with us, the name of the original creditor, the original account number and the amount dueTo address your referencing that the account is past its' Statute of Limitations, this does not make it an invalid debtThe Statute of Limitation only precludes judicial enforcement of the debt, thus in the state of PA there is no statute on trying to collect a debtWhen we received *** ** ***'s complaint the account was closed in our office and is being returned to our client with a copy of this complaint; she will receive no more contact from Oxford Law, LLC in reference to this account. Our firm holds the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and all other Federal and State Laws in highest regards and enforcement of those laws is a priority in our officeThe owners, management and employees of the firm take pride in providing our client's and their customers with a good customer experience on every contactNon-compliance of laws or our standard operating procedures by any employee results in disciplinary action up to and including terminationWe do not condone harassment nor tolerate unprofessional actions by our employees
On behalf of the firm, I apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused *** *** as our goal is to always provide a good customer experience while helping assist our customers in resolving their accounts, all in accordance with the FDCPA and all other Federal and State laws and guidelines. In closing, if *** *** has any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ***.Sincerely,Charles R.Chief Compliance Officer

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: HSBC has stated on my credit report that this debt has been written off/closed. However, you are still requesting payment. Therefore, I can accept your word for it. I need written verification of this debt and not the settlement. I will make not any additional payments until I get this information.
Regards,
[redacted]

Thank youIn Mr. [redacted]’s complaint he states that he paid the debt associated with the car over a year ago, that he is looking for the title, that I am the only person that he can talk to and that he is looking for a correction to...

his credit report. Upon receipt of this complaint I performed an internal investigation of the account in question. Mr. [redacted] did make the last payment on a settlement for the account in question and the account was closed in our office and sent back to [redacted], our client, as settled. Mr. [redacted] will need to contact [redacted], located in Colorado, for the title; we are solely agents / the agency that was doing work on [redacted]’s behalf so we would not have access to the title. Mr. [redacted] also stated that he wanted a correction to his credit report, as we are not the current creditor we do no credit reporting; any issues related to this would also need to be brought up to [redacted]. Our firm holds the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and all other Federal and State Laws in highest regards and enforcement of those laws is a priority in our office. The owners, management and employees of the firm take pride in providing our client’s and their customers with a good customer experience on every contact. Non-compliance of laws or our standard operating procedures by any employee results in disciplinary action up to and including termination. We do not condone harassment nor tolerate unprofessional actions by our employees. On behalf of the firm, I apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused Mr. [redacted] as our goal is to always provide a good customer experience while helping assist our customers in resolving their accounts, all in accordance with the FDCPA and all other Federal and State laws and guidelines. In closing, if you have any additional questions I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Sincerely, Charles R[redacted] Chief Compliance Officer Oxford Law, LLC
