Patient was first seen in our office on 06/06/for an emergency exam due to loosing his upper and tower stayplates (which are temporary partial dentures)On the day of the examination patient was given the option to replace missing teeth with new stayplates and was given costs for treatmentAlso patient was told that there was lab fee involvedImpressions to be send to lab were taken on 06/06/and stayplates were delivered from jab to our office on 06/13/Patient was called in and scheduled for delivery on 06/14/Stayplates were delivered on 06/i4/he was given care instructions and was told to call if any adjustments were neededWe did not hear from patient back until 08/24/20ió when he called to let us know that his stayplates (partials) broke and wanted for the office to replace themFront desk informed patient that stayplates have no guarantee and that if he needed to replace them he would have to pay for new ones or for repairs if any are neededPatient said he was told by dentist to come in if he had any problems with partials, but were problems such as high Spots, sore spots or any problems related to any adjustments as he was told on delivery datePatient was asked to come in and have it checked but he said that he will just call back for appointmentMinutes later patient sister called upset and asked why we were not going to give patient new partials if he dropped them and they brokeExplained same thing to sister as it was explained to patient, but she was very upset and just hang upWe would like to help patient by offering to repair partials at the lab cost (lab fee) since partials were broken all patient has to do is contact our office to schedule appointment, We do not keep any molds, the lab does not return them so if any repairs need to be done we would have to take new impressionsThank you, S [redacted] , D.D.S Oxnard Dental Group
