company was hired to do remodeling work. They put a new sub floor over broken floor joists,left mold growing on back walls behind the new cabinets, and see daylight under the new doors."My crew informed the clients their mobil home needed jacked up and properly leveled for the subfloor to be level. My crew and I were told by rural development to not go outside the scope of work the contract entailed; the contract did not permit us to fix the leveled issue of the mobile home. When we put the new cabinets in we were not aware of any mold (no sign of contaminets). The mold may have developed due to leaking appliances after the job had been finished.( insurance adjuster noticed leaking appliances outdated units) We were recently contacted by an insurance agent of the clients to inspect an insurance claim (for future work) (nothing that had to do with craftsmanship on our part). When the clients were denied any sort of settlement from the insurance adjuster. They began contacting me with derogatory phone calls that made me feel threatened, leading me to not want to get in contact with them. I believe this all has to do with money. The reason why is when we were there with the insurance adjuster the male client whispered to my father "see if you can squeeze in five hundred bucks on the price for my deductible" My father stated " I will not be allowed to do that". Also this is all brought up six months after our work was finished. The clients had to sign of on our work in order for us to get paid, they signed off and were overjoyed with our work even rewarded us further with donuts. I am lead to believe if they were so dissatisfied with our work they would not have signed off for our pay to begin with and why now after six months are they dissatisfied? Also why would they recomend using us again for future work with their insurance adjuster if they were so dissatisfied? I believe money is the motive to this complaint.
