Ozark Fence Reviews (%countItem)

Ozark installed a fence and 3 gates for us. Work was completed May 31, 2019. Two weeks later, one of the gates slipped from its hinges due to poor install. They sent someone to fix it and although he put it back on the hinges, the gate does not hang straight. I have sent text messages, left voice mails and sent emails asking to have the gate fixed. They sent someone out today, July 26th. I was not at home when the tech arrived but when I did arrive home, the gate was in the exact same position as it was before. They did absolutely NOTHING to correct the problem. I sent a text message, which seems to be the only way I can get any response from them and asked once again when the gate will be fixed. I have heard nothing.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

If you want very poor customer service, want to oversee the entire install process and still not have quality work, then this is your fence company! The owners, Ken and Karen, are very nice and were very responsive during the bidding process. However, once we contracted with them, it took forever to get the fence installed. We were told that the fence would be installed in just a couple of days. It took well over a month. I had to act as the contractor to make sure they did the job properly and even then they didn't get it right. They told me my fence was complete and when I went to inspect it, part of the fence was disconnected from the brackets, one of the gates had already started to rust, there were numerous deep scrapes in the finish and holes where they had drilled my mistake wide open. The finish on my fence is ruined because they scraped it severely and drilled holes in the posts in the wrong places. Where they finally filled the holes, the patch job is awful. I recently had them out because one of our gates had slipped and the hinges had moved down the posts as a result of them not being installed correctly in the first place. They sent one guy out to fix the gate. He did a horrible job, created even more holes in the posts that had to be filled and spray painted and now the gate doesn't hang right. I have been in contact with Karen as to when we will be on the schedule to get this fixed and she always says she will get back to me. It is me chasing them down to get things done. I cannot recommend this company! We now have a $9,000 fence that looks like crap!

When I contracted Ozark to build me a large gate, I expressed concern about wooden gates sagging over time. They told me that they would use a steel frame to stabilize the structure of the gate and it would result in a gate that will not sag. After they built the gate, it appeared to me that the only thing that they did by adding a steal frame was to make it heavier, therefore more apt to sag. The frame was not part of the hinging structure, the hinges are still attached to the wood portion of the fence and with one bolt per hinge into a round fence post. The owner, *** was extremely rude to me and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about. At first, I could not get the owner *** to respond or to come and look at the gate. It took weeks and several phone messages to get him to come to my home. When he did come, all he had a huge attitude problem and he was bound and determined that he was not going to change anything. I went ahead and wrote him a check that day just to get the whole thing over with.
Now, only about 9 months later, the gate is sagging and is nearly impossible to operate. I have not opened or used it more than 12 times in the last 9 months as it's only for occasional access to the back yard and back garage. I sent an email to his company on May 23rd and have gotten no response to date. Based on the extremely stubborn and rude attitude he had when he came to look at it before I paid him, I don't expect to hear from him at all.
I'm happy to supply photographs, dates and copies of cancelled checks for proof if needed.
As a side not, I used this company before to build my fence and I referred them to clients of mine to build fences and they did good work. I certainly will not be referring them ever again after the way they've dealt with this situation
