I am responding to the letter I had received from Revdex.com of Wisconsin on October 20, The compliant number is [redacted] This compliant was from 2006, when I had partnered with a realtor on a remodeling project for an investment property At the time, [redacted] and his wife were very interested in purchasing the said property and had spoken to her on numerous occasions to write an offer on it although she was not interested in accepting an offer from them She had previously worked on a deal with the [redacted] that they had reneged on While I was working on the project, they stopped in several times to view the property and requested me to ask her to write an offer for them I declined and told them that they needed to work with her directly Later, it is my understanding that they did come to an agreement, providing the [redacted] agree and sign a contract with a non-refundable deposit As she thought, the deal did fall apart and she held onto the deposit Afterwards, I had run into [redacted] at Town Bank, where he is employed He told me that his wife was a realtor now with By Owner.com He then proceeded to ask me to give her listings so they could have a chance to earn their money back In the years, nothing was ever said about returning the money until now and the realtor handled the sale of the property while I was responsible for the remodeling only To the best of knowledge, it was my understanding that Andy and his wife understood that the deposit was non-refundable I believe this gives you a better understanding of what had transpired If you have any other questions, please feel free to follwith me Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I reject Mr***'s response for several reasons. The parter told my wife and I at the time it wasnt her decision to return our money. Mr*** said that I had "reneged" on a prior deal with his partner which is untrue and slanderours. I will be filing a defamation suit within the next month. We did not purchase the house for several reasons and should have recieved our money back. At the time of the transaction, a local lawyer was retained and we could not reach Mr*** or his partner. The lawyer informed us that the money needed to get our money back would be about the same as we lost
Furthermore, my wife never worked for Byowner.com and I have no recollection of having to "earn it back" with Mr*** and cannot discuss the business discussed when I was Vice President of Town Bank. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach Mr***, I gave up. I re-opened this complaint after hearing and seeing that Mr*** was in business
The bottom line is Mr*** basiscally stole $from my wife and I with three children under the age of five and pregrant with our fourth. He and his partner should have had the decency to return our money - but chose not to
Now that I have found that Mr*** is still in business, I am going to pursue all legal both civil and "Theft by contractor" means of getting our money returned and will not give up until it is returned

I am responding to the letter I had received from Revdex.com of
Wisconsin on October 20, 2014.  The
compliant number is [redacted].  This
compliant was from 2006, when I had partnered with a realtor on a remodeling project
for an investment property.  At the...

time,
[redacted] and his wife were very interested in purchasing the said property
and had spoken to her on numerous occasions to write an offer on it although she
was not interested in accepting an offer from them.  She had previously worked on a deal with the
[redacted] that they had reneged on.  While I was working on the project, they stopped
in several times to view the property and requested me to ask her to write an
offer for them.  I declined and told them
that they needed to work with her directly.
Later, it is my understanding that they did come to an agreement,
providing the [redacted] agree and sign a contract with a non-refundable deposit.  As she thought, the deal did fall apart and
she held onto the deposit.
Afterwards, I had run into [redacted] at Town Bank, where
he is employed.  He told me that his wife
was a realtor now with By Owner.com.  He then
proceeded to ask me to give her listings so they could have a chance to earn
their money back.  In the 9 years, nothing
was ever said about returning the money until now and the realtor handled the
sale of the property while I was responsible for the remodeling only.  To the best of knowledge, it was my
understanding that Andy and his wife understood that the deposit was
non-refundable.
I believe this gives you a better understanding of what had
transpired.  If you have any other
questions, please feel free to follow-up with me.

Review: This contractor failed to live up to his promise to complete work on the new home and garage we purchased from him. He gave his word he would finish the trim on two outside windows facing the road and also to install gutters and downspouts on a new 2nd garage he constructed for us. Mr. Osgood would not respond to any phone calls or e-mails to address this uncompleted work. We have since had to pay another contractor $1262.00 to complete this promised work. Be very careful if you have any dealings with this contractor. We would ask to be reimbursed the above amount and can provide invoices for this.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for uncompleted work.

Review: Don Osgood, owner of Osgood builders did not return a "Refundable" deposit of $5000.

My lawyer at the time told me it would cost more in legal fees to get the money back.Desired Settlement: Please send me my $5,000 refund.
