[redacted] not go here unless you want your stuff stolen, be lied to and go without your car for an extended period Of time .

On(4/18/14) I brought my car to J&P auto because my AC clutch did not work. After 4 day(4/22/14) he told me my car was fixed and it is ready to be picked up. So I got it at about 1 pm. Tried to start it at 4 but it would not start because he created a short in the system. So I brought it back to him on(4/23/14) and did not get it back until (4/17/14).Not to mention he charged me 150 for a battery plus 75 for battery installation. But there was never a new battery installed. On top of all that the shop/ employees stole a 1200 wat amp, chrome Cologne tablet and work/ personal paper work.

Great customer service! Great work! Great prices! Found my new car repair shop.

It is extremely hard for me to find an honest mechanic. I have been coming to [redacted] & [redacted] (Dad & sons shop) for years now - Yes, years. They are absolutely trustworthy.
I would highly recommend them. Found them on google search, by chance - Even if I move or have to drive to get to them. They are my shop for years to come!

Great customer service and superb family business! Jose (sr.) always gives honest prices and stays true to his word. Victor & Jose (Jr.) are A+ mechanics & always seem to find & rectify the car problem. I've been using their business for 3 years now and will plan to continue to do so in the near future.

Do not be fooled by how nice, welcoming and friendly the owners are. They treated me really well and seemed to have stellar customer service but after my visit with them two years ago.. I am still paying for the damage they have caused to my car..

The details:

I paid over $1500 in total to change my motor mounts, valve cover gaskets, tune up and get my emissions passed. Mind you that was me purchasing the distributor, wires and spark plugs.

took over a week to get my car back, and being new to auto repair at the time, I did not know that they actually only replaced 2 OUT OF 4 of my mounts and charged me the full cost. My valve cover gaskets were also still leaking and worst of all my car came back with check engine lights and multiple problems which I fixed myself.

After that, I had to pass emissions and they charged me $280 to pass it when most of the problems were caused by them.

Good luck if you choose this repair shop.

Review: I purchased 4 tires from P&J Auto Care Center on 8/1/2014 and was given a pamphlet from [redacted] if I ever had problems with my tires.

On September 14, I had got a flat tire on I17/I10 on the way to church and called P&J to see if they were opened… [redacted] the person who sold me the tires answered the phone which I conveyed what had occurred. He asked if I had gotten hold of the [redacted] place and I told them that yes… but that they wanted upfront $75.00 to come by and replace the flat tire with the spare. I declined the service as I did not want to pay anyone $75.00; I asked him that I would then wait until Monday to stop by the shop and have him replace the tire. As I understood this new tire was covered under [redacted] and that I did not have to pay for it.

He called me from the tire place stating that I had ran over something that caused the flat and that they only thing to do was to get the new tire but that I had to paid and get my money reimburse from [redacted] ###-###-#### … I went and paid for the new tire and submitted my claim to [redacted] yesterday… [redacted] stated that they were not going to reimburse the tire cost to me because the location was less than 25 miles and therefore it was the responsible of P&J to make the refund.

I stop after work because I had not heard back from P&J. Spoke with [redacted] and he stated that I should have said that it was beyond 25 miles and that they told him that they will be investigating…. Our conversation was interrupted with a call that [redacted] received and that was pretty much the end of our communication.

I called [redacted] this morning regarding my claim #[redacted] and spoke with [redacted] from [redacted] (customer service) he stated that P&J was not a participant of the [redacted] service at the time when they sold me the tires on 8/1/2014; and that they called and conveyed this information to [redacted] at P&J yesterday.

I email P&J via their website and have not heard back from them.Desired Settlement: I need to know what I can do to be able to resolve this issue…

You help will be much appreciated.

Review: I was taking my 94 Ford Escort to an automotive electrician because we were told that the compressor for the a/c was wired improperly and we couldn't get the hose leak fixed until that was taken care of. I had called a shop and told them I would bring it in that Monday the 20th of May. I took it to P and J by accident, but decided to give them a try since they had the Revdex.com Accreditation on the wall in the office. I worked with [redacted] during this process. I told them that I needed the wiring redone for the compressor. He said they would look at it. An hour later I found out they had already started working on it with out informing me. About 4 hours later, after I called them to find out what was going on with the car, he tells me that they were working on replacing seals that were cracked. I needed my car back for work so he said they "rigged" it to work for the week until I can get it back in. We then agreed on $150 upfront and $150 when it was done. So I paid and took my car. The a/c worked for 2 days, drained the battery, and started blowing hot air. He asked me to bring it back in, so I did. It was Wednesday and I ended up being very late to work because of this. He said that the way they "rigged" it caused the compressor to be on constantly which killed the battery and he apologized for not informing me. So he recharged the a/c but turned off the compressor so I had no a/c until that Friday when I took it back in because the car would drop rpm and almost shut off in neutral. We couldn't afford anymore work on the car but my husband told me to take it back in because it needed to be fixed. I talked to [redacted] and he said to not worry about it and just bring it in. I went until saturday afternoon with out a car. When we got the car back it seemed to work ok. Then 3 days later the car started blowing luke warm air and stalled out in neutral. So I turned the a/c off and my husband took the car in to be looked at again. It was Friday and when my husband called to see how the car was coming they said they wouldn't be able to work on it until saturday afternoon. So we went from Friday to Monday without a car. When I went to pick up the car [redacted] was on the phone and he ended up telling me to just go ahead and take the car. In the last 3 visits we had not discussed and repairs or prices. So after I took the car to get gas I turned the car back on and it stalled. I tried giving the car gas when I turned it on and it stalled. So I turned off the a/c and the car runs fine. We can't have the air on at all with out the car stalling.Desired Settlement: I would like my $150 back so we can take our car to an auto shop that is actually qualified to repair our car. I also do not want to pay for the last 3 visits, or the $150 we agreed on when the job was finished, since we never discussed prices and the car still does not work properly.

My name is [redacted] when [redacted] came into my shop and asked me to check her car out and see what the problem was for the AC she told me that she wanted me to repair the wiring for the AC so it could work and when I went to check the car I noticed that there was no Freon in the system so I told her that I would need to put Freon first So I could keep on checking she said yes go ahead and put the Freon in. When I put the Freon in the a/c System I noticed that the Schrader valves were leaking, So then I informed her that the Schrader valves We're leaking and I told her that it would be about $150 to charge up the AC system and put the Schrader valves and check the a/c wiring system,she agreed, so I replace the Schrader valves and put Freon in the system again I turned on the car and activated the compressor and noticed that the compressor did not come on at that point I started checking powers and grounds and that's when I noticed that the wiring had had been tampered with someone ran wires from the compressor to the AC controller to the AC switch there is a bunch of wires and also there was a toggle switch to operate the compressor. At that point I went again and I spoke to her and I explain to her what happened I told her that her system was tampered with and we needed to repair or correct the wiring I told her that it would be about another 150 dolls and she said that she didn't have any more money for now that she would bring it back when she did have the money for the repairs. Then days later she called me and told me that her battery was dying I asked to bring the car back when I checked it I noticed there was a short when I went to go look I found that the toggle switch was on at all times then I apologized to her and told her that the toggle switch needed to be turned off when turning the car off so the compressor wouldn't be on all the time cause that was the problem for the battery dying. Then a few days later she called again said that her car was turning off. I told her to bring the car back and she did so I offered to loan her a car and she said no and told me its ok I also told her that I was really busy and would need some time and said that was fine. When I started checking the car I found that the AC system did not have any Freon and that's the reason why the car was turning off. the battery was good and the problem was that The AC system had no Freon cause it had a leak so when the Compressor was on and without any Freon compressor was locking up and causing the car to die.
