I am rejecting this response because: I did not think the packet telling me to by out my mid-may was odd because I signed the lease in Mid-mayI understand my lease said May 31st, but that packet was misleading and led me to believe I had to be out by May 16th at the latestIn the packet those were the only dates and I did not think the packet had any special differences for me because I received the text and it was under my door. I did have a copy of the lease, but did not remember my lease end date, I did not say I knew my lease end date when I spoke with management. The packet and the text led me to find another place to live for May, something I would not have done otherwise, I did not realize that there would be a problem until I was charged full rent for MayAt that time I did go see the main office because I did have questionsIt is not my fault they slid a day notice to vacate under my door a month and a half before my lease ended and it is not my fault they are busy this time of yearIt is also not my fault that the complex seems unable to manage this many apartmentsThat is no excuse for poor communication and this type of oversightThis demonstrates a flaw in management and I believe it directly led to the conflict.

Campus Park Housing in Twin Falls Idaho rents bedroom units that rent by the bedroom*** *** rented a single bedroom in one of these units from Campus Park on May 13, with a lease end date of May 31, 2017. In March of move out packets were prepared for the tenants that
have leases ending on 5-13-as most tenants that rent these units are students and their leases end on that date as school ends for themThe office also prepared packets for tenants whose lease ended on 5-31-so that I would not forget to get it to them, since the office becomes very hectic this time of year. On the label that had the unit and room number on it I also included the lease end date for those expiring on 5-31-2017. There was a text message sent out to the tenants that stated the following; Hello tenants,this week management passed out packets to all those who have leases expiring in MayIf your lease expires in May, and we accidently missed you, please come see us in the office to receive the necessary paperwork in order to move outSent by Tosha R*** on 03/31/at 04:19pm A written day notice must be turned in, and a move out appointment must be scheduledFailure to do so may result in loss of deposit and charge of next months rentIf you are unsure when your lease expires, or have any questions about the packet, please come see us in the officeThanks, CPH If Mr*** had any questions regarding his lease ending he was instructed to ask the office, he assumed that this meant he was going to be release from his leaseWe did not hear from him one time until he was upset he had been charged for May rent, which according to the lease he signed he would be responsible for I asked Mr*** if he would like a copy of his lease and he stated, “No he did not need one, he had a copy and knew what his lease end date was” If he thought maybe something was not quite right he had the responsibility to ask the questions

I am rejecting this response because: I have been living here for almost years and this is the first time I've had a serious problem, but when you call management they're supposed to come in and take care of it, and if I remember right our rule books tell us that we will be fined for having alcohol and the management will take itOne of them that was drinking was a minor so that should have been reported to the police that she is drinking under ageShe had been asked for weeks on end, my roommate, by her boyfriend to clean because she wasn't cleaning and he was the only oneWith other people living there it is common decency to clean up after yourself so people can use what they pay forI contacted Night Manager because I had a problem with it and they should've taken care of it and they should've taken the alcohol instead of letting her dispose of it because it wasn't disposed of, they stuck it back in the pantry where they could drink it later. I was then messaged by the roommate that was mad because I called Night Management on her and attackedAnd I defended myself Once a month management does room cleaning checks, and there has been alcohol in that fridge of my roommates every time they have done it and nothing has been doneAnd the landlord does it personallyIf that doesn't show her being biased I don't know what doesAnd I can tell you that living with other roommates that if alcohol had been in that apartment while we were doing cleaning inspections, it would have been personally removed by the manager and we would have been fined for itAnd I know that the landlord knows that my roommates boyfriend has guns on the property, because he'll walk to the clubhouse with his pistol attached to his hip because he forgets it's there, he's got bows and arrows up on the wall and he's a veteranI have also been told by him that she knows and that she will deny ever knowing it because she lose her job for not following the rulesNo if I just wanted to get out of my lease I would so instead of going through all this bt because this is ridiculous if I call management I expected it to be handled the way I was told it would be handled when I first moved inBut management cannot see past their bias friendships with the tenant to do that for somebody else who is paying the same amount and has to follow the rulesYes I am angry, but tell me this, why should I have to pay for something I can't use because of somebody else and it's not me and taking care of the way it was supposed to of been, I shouldn'tIf I can't use the kitchen how am I supposed to eat? I can't I work hours a week and I'm back-and-forth between my apartment and my parents house where I'm building a nursery for my babyWhen I come home I expect to be able to use something I pay forIf I can't use it why pay for it because that's a waste. I asked the manager what happens if we have alcohol in our apartments and she redirected the question and wouldn't even answer itBecause she knows that management is supposed to get rid of it and not let the tenantAnd I gave her an option because they want me to move after I have moved several times before because of roommates I told my landlord that she can have that girl clean the mess up, the roommate can move, or she can end my lease, because I have moved three times and I cannot move anymoreI have three months to the end of my lease The management there is unfair, I remember when I first signed my lease I paid $a monthBut when my lease was about to end they needed to know if I was staying or if I was moving and when I chose to stay they wanted to raise my price, which is on ethical and is unfairIf I have lived there under one price I should be able to stay there, but they told me if I signed a year Long lease my rent will stay the sameSo I signed itBecause I expected to have a landlord who would be fair, honest, and ethicalSam is not that

My response o [redacted] a tenant that resides at Campus Park Housing who is stating that I am giving preferential treatment to tenants.   On Wednesday 5-17-2017 [redacted]’s roommate came into the office and shared some text messages with me that she received from [redacted] calling her names and using...

curse words at her for not leaving the apartment in a manner acceptable to [redacted]. Apparently, [redacted]’s roommate had a guest over the night before and they had things out on the table and it was messy and [redacted] was unable to use it, they also had alcohol which is against the rules of their lease. [redacted]  sent a text message to the night manager who the roommate assured through text message they would get rid of the alcohol and clean up the table. Here is the message that was sent to [redacted] from the maintenance phone after they spoke to her roommates. “Ok, I have spoken with one of your roommates. The alcohol will be removed and they will clean up the table. Let me know if the problem persists”. And here is [redacted]’s reply;  Thank you I really appreciate it  We did not hear from [redacted] I again that evening so they assumed it was taken care of.  I asked [redacted] to come to the office so that we could discuss the situation and try to find a solution to the concerns between   roommates with the name calling and cursing for them to be able to live in peace. While in the office [redacted] proceeded to curse at me and let me know that there were firearms in unit.   She stated I knew they were there however this is untrue. I told her I was not going to continue to be cursed at and she tried to demand that I was going to let her out of her lease,   make her roommates clean the unit, and move her roommates. After she stomped out of my office I called and spoke with [redacted] regarding the firearms and let him know they needed to be removed   from the unit immediately. He agreed this would be taken care of and I will follow up today to make sure that is completed.  I also had a training moment with the new maintenance team and let them know   that they are to go a physically remove the alcohol we cannot take the tenants word for it that they have gotten rid of it. For the record the alcohol rule is one [redacted] has broken herself while living at   Campus Park so this is not something that would concern her except she is looking for a reason to get out of her lease.   I am not willing to let [redacted] out of her lease, she knows that if she can find someone to take it over she would be released from financial liability.
