To clarify statements made by StClair of the Ozarks regarding my previous review: *J-channel was replaced because the wrong color was installedThe color stated on the contract was not used *The storm door was not the same color as the windows as we were told it would be *The storm door handle is not the color listed on the contract *Our original vent covers were to be used because the company told us they were better than the cheaply-made vent covers that matched our sidingWe agreed that we would paint them to match the new siding The company installed the cheap vent covers anywayThey also forgot to cut out for one ventTwo vent covers were installed with broken tipsThe slats will not stay in placeOne has been repairedWe have never broken them, they were installed this wayThe company told us they were cheaply made, and they areThe cut-outs are too large for us to install our original vent covers - we definitely would if possible *The exterior doorbell cover had to be replaced because the person who installed the storm door broke it *The exterior water faucet had to be repaired because the siding crew broke it *The window cuts were made sloppy leaving huge gaps between the window and the sidingThis looks tacky and leaves room for wasps, hornets, and bees to build homesYes, we requested a foam spray to fill these gapsIt was done around some of the windows Others were forgotten *The entryway was reinstalled due to the wrong color of J-channel used (as stated previously) *The first day of installation our family cleaned for two hours before the kids could be outsideNails and sharp pieces of siding were scattered across the yard After the company said the job was complete, we cleaned cigarette butts, water and drink bottles, wrap from supplies, nails, and small/sharp cuts from siding In the past two weeks we have found more nails and siding pieces in the landscaping *Additional materials were left on-site because the crew said we paid for them so we may as well keep themWe only requested a few pieces for repairs if needed *We requested they leave our old siding We did not complain about this material being left behind *The company chose to replace the wrap on our garage with a different colorWe did not request this as it is not part of the sidingThey put the original weatherstripping back on top of the wrapIt is not the same colorThey claim weatherstripping is part of the garage door, yet it is placed directly on the wrap they changedThe company assumed a color for wrap without consulting us, which forced us into painting the garage door The wrap, weatherstripping, and garage door colors were fine as they were *The company has received one list of items they need to correct or completeThey are all things the company should have done without a customer listThe list has not changed *The last time we heard from StClair of the Ozarks was in FebruaryOne employee showed up unexpectedly, but didn't have the materials he neededHe left without doing anythingWe have three phone numbers availableStClair of the Ozarks has not used them since JanuaryTheir claim that we do not answer or return their calls is false We are anxious to see our home completedThe balance will be paid when it is, despite the frustrations we've endured
