concern, The Grays Harbor Public Utility District prides itself on its customer service and is aware of the added burden of additional fees for power service. District policy is for any after-hours power reconnect to include a $charge which covers the added cost of utility personnel carrying out power reconnections outside of the regular business day. This includes the cost of sending a utility crew to homes, overtime, materials etcHowever, in the event of extenuating circumstances, the utility is always willing to discuss the fee with the customer and make changes where applicable. In this case, the customer spoke with the PUD general manager and after hearing the circumstances surrounding the charge and complaint, the utility reduced the fee to $300.
