We are sorry [redacted] feels she had problems with us from the start - but we also feel the same way about her [redacted] signed a contractShe was sent the contact by email before she adopted which gave her an opportunity to read and understand everything BEFORE she adopted from Pa Caring for K-9's It fully states that we are Not responsible for any vet care after the adoption takes place - but in good faith - we did offer to give her dewormer for the pup Unfortunately she wanted us to also treat her other dogs as wellwhich we absolutely were not going to do Her other dogs were not our responsibility and I stated that in the email I provided to her and to the Revdex.com as proof. Her complaint now, is that we failed to mail her a check for $for the spay deposit We never failed to do so, as [redacted] was the one that checked off the box to DONATE the $back to the rescue This was her choice - so we are Not at fault at all We emailed proof of the carbon copy of Her original contract - where it shows she checked this box off How are we at fault if she was the one that decided to donate this deposit back to the rescue in the first place? If [redacted] feels we are a bad rescue because we adopt out many dogs (which is what a rescue is supposed to do) that is her opinion - we have thousands of happy adopters that will stand behind this rescue and say many positive thingsWe have attached a copy of the Original spay/neuter contract for [redacted] adoptionIT CLEARLY SHOWS SHE CHECKED OFF THE SPACE TO DONATE THE $BACK TO OUR RESCUE We also attached the copy that [redacted] sent in along with the complaint - where it also shows and proves she checked off the $to be donated back to the rescue

[redacted] ,I spoke with Mr F [redacted] about the vet bill you said you sent him He said He did receive it - But you Never asked him for any type of payment or reimbursement. With you being involved in the rescue for years, You knew and Understood that we have everyone sign a foster manual/contract, just as you did, (SEE YOUR ATTACHED SIGNATURES) so they are fully aware that they will and cannot hold the rescue liable for any damages or actions a foster dog incurs while in the fosters care You signed our Foster manual contract with the rescue and have known this rule for yearsYou yourself have upheld this contract with other fosters in the last years, so why now would it be ok for You to be treated any differently? The liability insurance the rescue holds and for its board members is for the safety in case anyone sues the rescue and holds the board members liable We did this in good faith for each board member. We are not paying this vet bill as you signed our foster contract stating you would never hold the rescue liable for any damage or actions of a foster dog.Several of our board members and fosters have witnessed your personal dogs aggression with other dogs and will testify to that fact [redacted] has been great in her new foster home and has not had any issues with people or other dogs since she left your Basement / Garage foster setting in your home IN FACT, SHE WAS ADOPTED YESTERDAY AT OUR ADOPTION EVENT THAT SHE WAS AT FROM AM TO 2PM - WITH NO ISSUES WITH PEOPLE OR OTHER DOGS You always kept your personal dogs upstairs and your foster dogs downstairs because you knew your personal dog had aggression issues with other dogs That was your exact words that you told several members As a foster you signed that contract, which stated your responsibilities as a foster. These are direct rules in our foster manual that you received a copy of and understood - as you were the one that helped in creating and adding these lines to our foster manual as we updated it from year to yearv Foster understands that interactions between any child(ren) and the foster dog must be carefully supervisedAny dog in the Rescue is carefully screened, but dogs are dogs and unpredictable on occasion and especially in new surroundingsFoster understands that we are not responsible for any dog bites inside the fosters home.v Foster understands that the rescue does not warrant the temperament or behavior of the foster dog, and is not to be held liable for any acts of the foster dog while living at the foster homev Foster agrees to release the Rescue and/or its members and volunteers from all liability, claims, and/or causes of action arising from any acts, injury and/or occurrences caused by the Foster dogYou can do as you wish - but we also have notified the Dog Warden and our Lawyer of your actions of trashing our rescues STATE DOCUMENTS - the documents that the rescue has for the Dog Warden ARE APPROVED AS STATE PROPERTY and you trashed them before you left your position as Head of ApplicationsIf you wish to take this to court, we will be forced to take action and file criminal actions against you.Regards,PackRepresentative

Pa Caring for K-9's (Pack9) did an exceptional job matching us with our adopted dog They took great care to check our references and vet records for our past dog The volunteer that fostered my dog was pleasant and knowledgeable Overall this was a great experience compared to other rescues that I applied to Thank you Pack

***, your hilariousWe have never "screwed anyone over" All ***'s statements are made up and exaggerations I have submitted all text between my foster and yourself to the Revdex.com for their evidence If they did not give you a copy it is not my fault You will have to ask them for a copy It provides all the evidence to win this case, and prove where it states you loved *** day after day I have proved my case You never said to anyone that you wanted to return this dog before the time allotted by our contract (7days) - you griped about having to spend money on dog food, crate and toys - all things a dog owner would have to spend on any dog Then you complain because you leave a dog you only had for a little over a week, alone and she gets ahold of an ice tray and a candle and chews it up and so then you want to return her So then you feel as though you are obligated to get half your adoption fee back because why? What do we owe you? We dont owe you anything You didnt follow your contract Have a great day ***

Thank you PA Caring for K-9s! I adopted my dog about six months ago and I could not be happier My dog was placed in a shelter when she was just a puppyAfter a year in the shelter she was going to be sent to a kill shelterPA Caring for K-9s rescued her and brought her to PA She had an amazing foster mom who helped socialize her and gave her a first home Now she is in her forever homeThis agency does amazing work and has wonderful volunteers I have a unique situation in that I live with my elderly grandparents, one of whom suffers from Alzheimers The volunteers were extremely understanding and went to great lengths to assist me through the process and accommodating my schedule and situation The process was so quick and painless that it was sometimes hard to remember that everything is being done solely by volunteersSix months later, its hard to believe my puppy was ever in a shelter She loves to play, and cuddle, enjoys anything outdoors and loves to go on trips with me She truly is my partner in crime I can tell she is so happy to be in her forever home, and I can't imagine her not being thereThanks again PA Caring for K-9s!

AmazingIf you asked me to describe PACKin one word, that is the word I would give youAlong with others like compassionate, heartfelt, genuine, caring, loving, supportive, and so many moreLast year, I applied to over local rescues in south central PAPACKwas the ONLY rescue that got back to me, let alone in a timely mannerThey were very thorough in terms of vet checks and reference checksWe missed out on the dog we first applied for, but I can't even tell you what that dog looks like now! We met our 1st dog the night we were approved and brought her homeShe now sleeps at my feet and cuddles on the couch every nightA little while later, we knew we wanted to expand our family againWe contacted PACKas we had such great success the first timeThen we brought home our second pup! I can't even put into words how blessed I am with my two girlsThey have brought such smiles to myself and my husbandEverynight I cuddle up with one on my shoulder and one on my feet and know our family is complete (until we need to add another!)I have recommended the rescue to everyone I knowBoth my sisters have expanded their family, as well as one of my good friendsEveryone has had such great success with their furbabiesHighly recommend if you are looking for a family member

PACKis a wonderful organizationThe process for adopting a dog from start to finish was very well explained and easy to followI appreciated the thoroughness of PACKwith calling our vet and calling referencesThe organization is wonderful and very reputableThey are making a difference each and every time they pull a dog from a high kill shelter in the south and are doing great things

I am rejecting this response because:
This is informationThe people who are running this adoption group would not even speak to an actual professional about the dogThey are NOT professionals in dog behaviorA vet isAlso MANY times this dog was crated A dog shouldn't have to be crated every second your goneThat's just like the shelter lifeI AM a VERY responsible dog ownerI have a dog now that has not caused me a quarter of the problems that dog didAlso the group claimed she was a lab mixShe's CLEARLY a Pitbull mixWhich wasn't an issue but they right there gave our info I only see emails I had between them but not one text on hereAlso there were phone conversations between the foster and me that obviously aren't hereI mentioned issues from the start and if the group wants to act "professional" then they need to have ALL conversations documented and not allow phone conversationsI've owned many dogs and not one has been as misbehaved as that one Sharing needed other dogs , and children to be aroundThey knew this but put her with us anywayI told them the dog was acting up over and over and they claimed it was "normal"They wouldn't listen to me at allThe dog only got worse with timeAnd THAT they all knowHow about the email I sent but never got a response to and had to write on the FB wall MANY days later to try and get a responseIn return the group wrote a nasty comment before answering my emailThen deleted it!Also I have talked to MANY people on their FB group that have said once they have the money from you they will ignore you as much as possible until their "time limit" is upIt sounds more and more like a scam all the time I STRONGLY feel I do deserve half of the adoption money backNever once did I say I wanted the money back for toys, food etcthat is ridiculous and nothing but a claimThis group wouldn't give me the time of dayAnd all they did was push the dog on me over and over and wouldn't listen I want the money backIt's not my fault they wouldn't listen

This "rescue" organization had an agenda that is not for the benefit of the dogs/puppies that they claim to rescue They import large quantities of dogs and puppies across state lines without regard to their health and well-being The dogs are "sold" to unsuspecting adopters who have no recourse once they receive a dog who is sick or has many behavioral issues as a result of no socialization in their early weeks of life This "rescue" organization seems to be on a mission to be the "top rescue" organization in South Central PA However they do so without disclosing the problems that come with these dogs/puppies If the dogs have health issues they dole out medications illegally and without a veterinarian examination or prescription

Good afternoon,Pa Caring for K-9's would like to file a response to a complaint that was made against
themIn response to *** *** claim that she contacted this rescue on 8/18/16, 9/9/16, and 9/21/16.To start, the only correspondence by email we had between *** *** and the rescue are on the following dates: May 28, 2016, June 2, 2016, and September 21, 2016, September 23, and October 22, We did not receive an email from ** *** on August 18thWe have provided the attached email correspondence as proof. ** *** signed our contract and our spay/neuter contract on 5/22/- where she checked off that she was donating the $deposit back to the rescue We did not send the $deposit back to *** *** due to the fact she checked off on our contract that she was donating it back to the rescue We have attached the copy of the original spay/neuter contract. We had received correspondence after she adopted from us on May 28, complaining that she wanted refunded for their cost in treating their puppy for worms after the time of adoption *** *** signed a contract with the rescue stating we do not guarantee any of our dogs to be parasite free and we do not reimburse for any medical fees after the time of adoption The shelter treats all dogs one time before arriving and then once the puppies arrive into our fosters homes, they then get treated more times before adoptionOnce with *** *** for one day and once with *** for days We still cannot guarantee a puppy or dog will not have a parasite at the time of adoption. Our medical records department emailed ** *** on June 2nd, as a follow up to the adoption email We received no response from her The next we heard from ** *** was on September 21st, informing us that she sent proof of spay certificate to our medical records deptThis is the first we noted she wanted a confirmation and the first she stated she did not receive a check Our medical records deptemailed ** *** back on September 23rd, confirming we received her spay certificate The email was sent to our CFO who processes the checks to be mailed out to adopters He noted to us that they had checked off on their contract that they were donating the $back to the rescue We then were emailed by ** *** on October 22nd, in the matter of minutes we received emails, one asking for acknowledgement of the email, one stating she did not receive a check, one stating she had typed the wrong email address for herself, one stating she sent us an email on August 18, The email she stated was sent on August 18th - we never received. Our point in this matter is that ** *** from the beginning, when she signed the contract with the rescue, she checked off that she was donating the $back to the rescue, so we in no way were withholding the deposit to her since she noted it was to be donated back to us We do not feel the Revdex.com should have been contacted in this matter since this was her decision to donate it to us and do not want this to reflect badly on our rating with the Revdex.com Below is a timeline of events for all to see I spoke to the CFO and we would be happy to give her $back in good faith, but only if this negative reflection on our Revdex.com page is removed and shows that we are not at fault in this situation. Here is a timeline of email correspondence:5/28/- email from *** *** wanting reimbursed for vet care.5/29/- reply email back to ** *** from our medical records dept. 6/02/- email TO *** *** from our medical records deptThis was our follow up email checking in with adopters after the time of adoption We received no reply from ** ***9/21/- email from *** *** stating she sent a spay certificate - this is the first we heard about her getting the spay done.9/23/- email TO *** *** from our medical records dept acknowledging her email.10/22/(6:39pm) - email from *** *** letting us know that her puppy was spayed(did not ask for a refund or ask for a reply)10/22/6:40pm) - email from *** *** again wanting acknowledgment of her email.10/22/(6:41pm) - email from *** *** again asking for email confirmation and stating she did not receive a check10/22/(6:43pm) - email from *** *** again letting us know her puppy was spayed. Attached - documentation of the timeline of emails and the copy of the original pay/neuter contract with ** *** where she checked off the box to donate the deposit back to us Tawnya J***Pa Caring for K-9's***

I am absolutely furious with this organizationI adopted a dog about a month ago and when we went to visit her for the first time I asked why she walked so strange and I was told that all dogs are evaluated by a veterinarian and that they would never be let in the shelter if they had hip problemsSo I believed that and brought the dog homeWhen we got home I realized very quickly that this dog was in painShe cried when she played with my dog, she couldn't get herself on the bed and she could barely go up the stairsShe constantly favored her right legHow did nobody ever notice any of the obvious signs of pain while she was in the shelter system?!?! So I took her to an orthopedic vet to get x-rays and the veterinarian said he had never seen anything like it in his entire lifeHe said both of her hips are completely smashed and she will need expensive surgery to fix themHe said she is obviously in pain and that even without x-rays any veterinarian could look at her and tell something is wrongHe does not think she was ever evaluated by a vet while in the shelter systemSo after this news I contacted the shelter and wanted to return herI was told at first that she would just be put down if I brought her back, which I think was the shelter's way of guilting me into keeping herThen we finally came up with an agreement that if I got her the first surgery the shelter would fundraise for the second surgery and that they would just need two months to fundraise and that they would easily be able to reach the goal of $2,I also asked the shelter if at the very least they could not cash the check for the adoption fee of $Every little bit helpsThey said "No" which I think is completely heartlessWell I just contacted the shelter about fundraising and I was told now that they cannot do it because the dog is not theirs anymore and they would have to claim it on their taxesThey had to have known that was going to be the case back when they agreed to do the fundraising so basically they completely lied to me! I have already spent $on this dog since I got her and the whole time I have not received one call from the shelter ownerNot even a simple apologyShe refuses to call me and instead is making me communicate through a foster home which is not fair to them eitherNow they too are thinking about leaving the organization as they are just as angry as I amAt the very, very least I would have expected an apology by nowThe way the shelter has handled this situation is completely unprofessional, heartless and extremely unethicalAt the very least they could have been honest with me from the beginning and not told me they would fundraise the money for the second surgery if that's not what they ever had in mindOr they could of not cashed the adoption fee checkI don't know what to do with this dog nowI have put all this money into her believing the whole time the shelter was going to help with the second surgery and now they are not going to and I cannot afford one more vet billSo what do I do now? She will need the second surgery and if I knew they weren't going to help with it I would have had the poor girl put down in the first placeI never ever in my life thought a shelter would treat me like thisI've always been against buying from breeders so I wanted to support a shelter but next time I will rethink that decision

** *** was with Pa Caring for K-9's as a foster and board member since 1/25/We have her signatures on acknowledgement of the foster manual and all the rescue rules, terms & conditions of fostering - (1st Attachment) ** *** resigned from being on the board on 4/30/(2nd
Attachment) - Where she stated she would continue fostering her foster dog until she was adopted or we found another foster that would take her in. She messaged Tony F* - Pack9's CFO/Director regarding the incident between the foster dog and her personal dog She never once asked for the rescue to pay for the vet bill until this Revdex.com complaintMr F* stated he never received a vet bill from *** ***. ** *** signed the foster manual which states on LINE that "Foster agrees to release the Rescue and/or its members and volunteers from all liability, claims and/or causes of action arising from any acts, injury and/or occurrences caused by the Foster dog" She was fully aware of this term and condition since she was the one that helped in creating our original foster manual We as a rescue will not be paying her vet bill as ** *** has known for years our rules, terms and conditions of fostering and the risk she took in taking in a foster dog She had the foster dog for months and mentioned that she needed to keep her dog and *** separated since her dog did not like ***Responsibility lies on ** *** since she did not keep the dogs separated as she stated she Needed toIf the dogs were kept separate, the incident would not have happened

Our family is a repeat adopter with PA Caring for K-9'sWe were very happy with the processes they have in place in order to find a "perfect" home for each dogI felt our family needs were taken into considerationReferences and vet checks were very thoroughThe meet and greet process assured us each dog was going to be comfortable in our home and with our dogsWe felt the dogs we adopted were very well cared for and all information that was available was given to us regarding past history, medical needs, etcWe understood fully that most of these dogs come from a shelter environment and most times their background is unknownOur experiences were very positiveI feel this organization places a very high priority on saving lives and making sure each and every dog finds a forever home

We have adopted three dogs from PackTwo out of three transactions were routineThe second dog we adopted developed a cough right at adoptionThe rescue (Tawnya J***) handled this situation fairlyIn communications with the rescue, they reimbursed us for the medication for the dog to treat the cough ( common in shelter dogs)All dogs are now doing greatWe also fostered several dogs for this rescue after this minor issue and I was impressed with the organization within the rescueAll individuals in this rescue are volunteers and spend countless hours helping mostly dogs from high-kill shelters, including many with significant health issues such as HW+ dogs, find forever homesI no longer foster for them due to personal issues, but overall, our family had a positive experience with Packand would recommend them to families looking for a rescue dog

I am rejecting this response because:This excerpt below is taken directly from my email to Packon May 29.
I looked up *** plus to be sure that it would treat tapeworms, which is what she hasShe weighs pounds, and according to this article she should receive tablets of mgwhich is exactly what I asked forI did not ask, or expect you to treat my current dog This was taken directly from an email with Pack on May They continue to lie about me wanting them to treat my other "dogs" Packrescue shouldn't be adopting out dogs with active wormsThey shouldn't be diagnosing serious problems (***) by the way poop "smells" I apparently made a mistake by checking the donation box...I guess they never make a mistakeAs for their happy adopters, that probably has more to do with their contact with the foster (a volunteer), than with the organization itselfI do love my dog, and I did like the foster parentEverything else has been excruciating. Pack should stop being dishonest about me wanting them to treat my other "dogs" that is a blatant lieThe contract states that they aren't responsible for future workings, but they should not be adopting out dogs that currently have worms.

Jeanne Pettit

I am rejecting this response because:
This information is incorrectMy dog gets along with other dogs fine*** is the dog who does not like other dogsI have attached the text message with the vet bill sent to Tony F*The rescue has insurance to cover their rescue dogs, it is not the responsibility of a foster to cover injuries by a dog that is not theirsI request to see the copies of liability insurance as I will be filing a claim with the insurance company as I was a board member and foster and covered by their insuranceI did not willingly let *** interact with my personal dogsShe broke through a fence gate and attacked my personal dogThere was nothing differently I could have done to prevent this attackI will take this matter to small claims court if you refuse to payThis is very wrong for you to refuse to pay for an animal in your rescue that caused damage to another dogI would hate it o see what would happen if she got lose and harmed the public
