unsatisfactory repairs,
I got the radiator replaced the hood wont shut right like it did before the repair was done, (the repair involved taking the latch out but wasn't fixed back right to where its causing problems to shut like it used to.
Valve cover gasket was requested to be changed/replaced and it has two Valve cover gaskets only a broken bolt was replaced and the valve covers gaskets were not even touched but instead the bolts were over over tightened using twice or more torque then the specific manufacturers recommendation and a washer replaced which is not even a matching one, and got charged more then twice the amount then that was discussed or agreed upon.
Motor mounts were replaced without proper fastening of bolts, upon taking back to show the problem so it can get fixed right, a chunk from the transmission casing was knocked off, which will cost me replacing the transmission.

Desired Outcome

After taking it back more then twice I don't feel comfortable for this business to work on it again, cuz so far it has done more harm than good. I'll have a more experienced Honest person work on this and have it fixed. As far as the transmission is concerned, the damage is done! I would like to get refunded for the overcharge and the job that was never done (Valve cover Gasket), and find a solution to fix the the transmission see how the business can make things right. I have checked with other professional, certified, experience

We do not conduct business in a dishonest way; consumer arrive on 01/03/2019 vehicle with hood open (not shut all the way down) after we open hood it was clear that the radiator was cracked costumer told us it didn't think it was that bad so he was adding water every time the light on the dash was making him aware that he needed coolant
He told us that it was trying to save money cause he was trying to get back to his hometown to get back to work after spending holidays with family we called several places and try to get him the best price possible and we told him that we could help on labor cost by not charging him for full time the car was gonna take to get repaired. After giving him a quote of
Radiator $189.99
Labor $65.00(hourly rate $65.00 time to remove radiator and properly bleed system after radiator installation 2.5 hours)
2- gallons antifreeze $31.99 (15.99 each)
Radiator cap $15.99
Shop supplies $3.00
Hazard materials $2.00
Tax $23.04
Total $311.00
After spending time on a busy day with the costumer he told us that he was gonna check somethings and he was gonna tell us in a few minutes if he could do it.......he came back and told us he was gonna drive down the street and check around we proceeded to make him aware that it wasn't safe to drive with the car in the condition it was on due to probably doing more damage to the vehicle he told us it was gonna be ok he was on that stage before: overheating and for some reason as long as the radiator cap was loose the car wasn't overheating but it was to the point to were it was loosing too much water.
I personally told him that it was not safe to drive the car that way and said that it was aware but he had to go somewhere to see if he could get the repair done cheaper.
Told him to call places first so he didn't have to drive that way and the costumer decided to leave the shop anyway after trying to close the hood he was made aware of the fact that it wasn't closing at all so I went under the dash (driver side) were the hood latch was located and after I pushed in the lever
Went around and tried again the hood close the proper way
So I showed him how to do it so he could close it and didn't have to drive with a hood open cause he could come open and damage his windshield and have an accident he then after saying he was gonna be back later proceeded to drive off.
Costumer came back hour and a half later and wanted us to work on his car.
After removing and installing the radiator we let the costumer know about The Old Radiator Cap not sealing the proper way and the radiator we purchased didn't come with one (some companies add cap and others don't) we showed him the damage and he agreed to purchase one with brand new seals so we order and made sure we finalized the installation the proper way we used more antifreeze than anticipated (3-gallons) due to having to flush his car cause it had mainly water and was not safe to drive with only water I decided not to charge him extra due to the fact that he was struggling to pay the repairs of his car and we didn't see any harm on just letting him have the extra on us he was happy that we save him on labor cost and the extra details on the hood such as the latch and adjusting the air pressure on his tires and not charging him to top of the rest of his fluids.
He then proceeded to tell us that he had some more work to get done on his vehicle such as motor mounts that he knew were bad for some time now and told him about the valve cover missing a bolt his answer was that some work was done somewhere else and he knew it was broke he then asked if I could repair the damage and I told him that as long as he could leave it with me one day I could fix it he then told us that he wanted to make an appointment to get motor mounts, get valve cover bolt removed and since I was gonna be removing the valve cover to replace the valve cover gaskets as well I told him that we could do it no problem he the proceeded to tell me that he had access to parts on the internet that he could get the parts and save money on that and I just provide the labor
I told the costumer that if I get the parts I can provide road side assistance nationwide and warranty on parts as well as labor and that if he provided the parts I could only warranty a year on labor.
He then told us that he was gonna check prices and work out a date that I could do it I told him it was ok and proceeded to give him the proper paper work on his warranty on the radiator and labor and for saving him a lot of money.
A month later he made an appointment after letting us know that he had the part he asked me how much the labor was gonna be I told him the normal hourly rate was $65.00 and if it took 3 hours I could do all of it for $180.00 and I repeatedly told him that the bolt on The valve cove could easily be more time due to not knowing the full extent of the damage till after I remove the valve cover itself he then said he was gonna have to leave it at the shop all day cause he had arrange a ride and he was gonna be back at closing time. I told him on jobs like his I needed the car at the shop at 8:00am just in case the bolts I had didn't fit his car and I had then plenty of time to order if I had to he agreed on it
The next day 02/19/2019 the costumer showed up at 10:00 am due to some complications arranging a ride but came to the shop as soon as he found one I told him time was gonna be little tight due to a two hour lost but I was gonna try my best.

After two hours and half of carefully drilling and trying not to create more damage on removing the bolt we finally got it out we told him he was gonna be a couple of hours before we finish he said he was gonna have to wait cause his ride never showed up I told him I was gonna try to be as fast as possible.
Valve cover gasket took more than anticipated due to removing spark plug coils with care cause they were fragile and the costumer didn't have enough funds to get new ones so it took one hour and a half to do
Costumer was aware of every move and everything that was done on the car he was checking and walking in the shop to see progress and at the same time he was trying to rush everything but told him I had to be careful with everything cause some parts were very fragile and the vehicle after all was sixteen years old
After starting on the front motor mount and finishing fast we moved to the transmission mount and made the costumer aware of one of the bolt being damage due to driving on a bad transmission mount for a long time he the said to try to make it work cause he didn't want to spend more money on the car I told him I could but if I didn't think it was gonna hold up I was gonna tell him and have to order one cause I didn't think it was safe to be without
After two hours of fighting with the bolt we got the transmission bolt done and seem to hold up just fine
I told him that the bolt seem to ok but if he noticed anything out of the ordinary to let me know and we were gonna try to correct the problem we worked five hours and a half on his car and only charge $225.00 plus tax
He left once again happy and was thankful cause we saved him money
He called two weeks later and told us that he was hearing a noise we told him to bring the car to the shop asap so we could correct anything if needed to be or at least check everything and made sure that the noise was taking care off
He came to the shop two days later we checked everything and notice the bolt on the transmission backed out and told him we needed to get a different bolt cause the original was damage and it was cracking a little piece on the transmission he then said he didn't have no money so I decided to buy a new one and replace for the old one without charging the costumer just didn't think it was safe and honestly it wasn't too much of a loss on the company as long as the costumer was safe
We made sure the costumer knew of every step showed him the damage and the new bolt didn't charge him a single dime and we thought he was taking care of we told him he still had one year warranty on labor and if anything else happened we will correct the issue and he seem to Happy with the service till now that we got this letter
We take pride on what we do and hope to resolve this issue any way we can
